The Totem Puzzle of Volskygge

This guide will help you by showing you how to complete the totem puzzle in Volskygge.

The Riddle

When you enter the room when you look around you will find a podium with a book called 'The Four Totems of Volskygge'. Read it and it will give you the riddle:
"The First fears all, The Second fears none, The Third eats what it can preferably number one, The Fourth fears the second but only when alone".

The Answer

There are four totems: a snake totem, a wolf totem, a fox totem and a bear totem. Using the knowledge of animal physcology the Snake would fear all the others, the bear would not fear any of these animals, the fox eats what it can (including snakes or "Number One") and the wolf would only fear the second (the bear) if was not with it's pack. Use the levers next to the totems in this order: 1.Snake, 2. Bear, 3 Fox and 4. Wolf and the gate will open. Enjoy the loot ^^

@TheWolfWatcher I am so sorry for not replying sooner. School's been keeping me busy. If I remember correctly, to get out of Volskygge, there's a hidden door somewhere in the final room. It's been awhile since I've been on both my computer and Skyrim, so my memory is a little hazy

@your face Actually Foxes hunt snakes, hence why the snake would fear all of them

I thought the fox would fear them all since they ALWAYS run away when you approach
