Introduction
THIS GUIDE WILL NEVER REALLY BE COMPLETE. AS I FIND NEW TRICKS AND FINISH LEVELS, I'LL ADD MORE STUFF TO IT. FAVORITE IT OR SOMETHING TO STAY UP-TO-DATE WITH IT. THANKS

Hey there, fellow Geometry Dash player, and thanks for clicking my guide :D It's my first one on Steam ever and it will be updated as I finish levels and write things on them. For now, the only levels covered will be the official ones (and not the Demons ones yet because I just can't). If people want to have guide for custom levels, please suggest them in the comments or a place I can receive notifications.
Also, if people, one day, want me to cover tricks to get special coins, I'll try to do it.
All the videos featured in this guide, unless stated otherwise, are mine. It's always me playing and stuff... You get it. I don't like to steal other people's videos and put them in random places. I prefer to use my work.
Alright, let's begin!
Global Tips
So these will be tips I can tell you for ALL the levels.
  • Never hold down jump. If you took the habit to hold down jump, it can be pretty hard to get rid of it, but as you play harder levels, it become very important to never hold down the jump button. It's easier to tell yourself not to click on a button rather than remove your finger of a button. It also it faster. But if you know you can safely hold the jump button, then go on.
  • Never jump like a fool for no reason, you will often be surprised. Only jump when you KNOW you have to jump. 'Nuff said.
  • In the ship parts, to stay stable, never do big waves, just tap-tap-tap to stay in a straight line. In Stereo Madness, you can do waves to stay in the air, but as you continue, you'll have to learn how to stay in a straight lines since there'll be spikes and flying saws a little bit everywhere. Doing waves will only kill you, and learning how to fly in a straight line will be very important. Anyway, flying with the ship only comes with practice and the understanding of the mecanic of it.
  • USE PRACTICE MODE AS MUCH TIMES AS YOU NEED TO. It's there for a reason. Personnally, I use the practice mode every time I start a level I can't do, and when I finish it... I us the practice mode again! Use it to master tricky parts, memorize the entire level... It's not only a game about mind memorization, but also body memorization. Let your body remember how to do this or that part, how much time you have to tap/click, how many times you have to jump, let your body remember. And if you can finish a level in 1-7 attempts, you can go with the normal mode.
I'll add more of them as I receive some or think of some.
The "Characters"
The Block

Basic square, when you hold the jump button, it jumps. Dies if it hits the ceiling, runs into a wall, touches spikes, falls out of the map, hits saws or anything deadly.

The Ship

Your block embarks in a journey... into a ship! When you hit the jump button, it slowly goes up, and if you don't click it, it goes down. Dies the same ways as the block expect you can hit your head on the ceiling. Yay!

The Ball

Your block morphs into a ball that can switch gravity! When you hit the jump button, well, the gravity changes. You die if you fall out of the map, touch spikes or saws, run into a wall, basic stuff!

The UFO

Ready for another flying trip? Embark now in your own UFO! And your block skin stays the same! It's a flappy-bird like thing, everytime you hit the jump button, the UFO jumps like the block, but you can fly! You can glide on the ground and hit the ceiling without any problem, but die if you hit obstacles and run into a wall.

The Arrow

This will entirely change your block! You morph into a kinda arrow. Every time you hit the jump button, you go up at a 90° angle. When you don't hit anything, it goes down. You die if you hit any obstacle or wall. Tricky, especially to go in a straight line, but very fun.
Stereo Madness

So this is the first level. Pretty easy, but still. For new players, it can be quite tricky to finish. I'm going to cover some particular parts.

Pretty simple, you can just hold down the jump button here because there are no spikes at the end.

Same as before but don't hold down the jump button for too long, because at the end, there is a spike and if you jump one time too many, you'll die. Be careful.

It's okay to go wavy-wavy mode to fool around here, but try always stay in the middle of the screen. You can also just practice to fly in a straight line. You can also glide on the ground if there are no obstacles and hit your head on the ceiling if, again, there are no obstacles.

Don't hold the jump button or you'll most likely end up hitting your head in the spikes or jump too far and falling.

...♥♥♥♥ them.

...same.

As I said before, you can glide on the squares and hit your head on them too without any danger. However, in the future, slightly hitting the ceiling or the ground can be deadly, so try to always stay in the air to keep the control of the ship. And again, stay in the middle on the screen because of the incoming spikes.
Back On Track
Mistake in video: In the ship part, at the end, I stayed in the middle of the screen and it made me jump when I turned back into a square. Don't do this, it almost got me killed o. O;

This level introduces those yellow little pads and they make you jump. Pretty straightforward.

It's always really tempting to jump on those. But learn not to do it and everything will be fine.

Here I suggest you not to keep pressing on the jump button to go up and stop pressing it to go down. To go up, press it a lot of times but not for too long, and press it to slow yourself when you go down.

Stick to the the ceiling when the spikes are on the ground and slide on the ground when they're on the ceiling. Keep gliding until you go through the thing to turn you back into a block and everything should be fine.

This part can actually be hard for new people because it's the end of the level and can be stressful, then you jump one time too many and you fail. Basically, the pattern is 'Jump, Jump, Don't Jump, Jump, Jump', and most of the time, the fail happens when you jump when you have not to. Learn it :3
Polargeist

This level introduces the yellow orbs that also make you jump, but you have to press the jump button again when you're near it to jump, holding the jump button does nothing.

An important thing to know about those orbs is not to spam the jump button when there are 2 or more of them in a row. Learn to time your jumps. This will be very important in harder levels where the timing when you jump with those is really important.
Also, you can now see why the music is so important in this game. I could to some parts with my eyes closed because you'll realize that some jumps are timed with the music. Listen and play!

I know they're really tempting to jump but just don't with this one.

Look at what's coming to you instead of your ship, so you'll have the time to go up or down depending of where the blocks are.

There are 3 spikes before the deadly 4th one. So when you jumped the 3, stop jumping.

Just like Back On Track you can easily fail because of stress or whatever, so the end is just 'Jump, Don't Jump, Jump, Don't Jump, Jump, etc.'
Dry Out
Mistake in video: Right before the inverted gravity part I jumped one time to many on the little platforms and it almost killed me, you're not supposed to jump there.

This level introduces the "Gravity Invertor Portal", I'm gonna call it like that, when you go through it the gravity is inverted.

I don't have any particular points to cover in this level, it's A LOT about timing your jumps, knowing whether or not you have to jump, the ship part is pretty straightforward.

PRO TIPS: 1) use practice mode to beat hard peices of the level. get to it, set a checkpoint, and turn off auto. 2) REMAIN CALM. RAGE DOES NOT HELP. 3) Practice, obviously. 4) Try to learn secret tricks in the maps. they can be really helpful.:GDInsane:
