the oh so hard to play Genji

Are you trying to play Genji and absolutely failing? do you ever stop and think: Man, I sure wish I were better as Genji.... well, fear not! for I have a solution! So come, come one and all to become far better at Genji than you ever could possibly imagine!

Why you should read this guide

Well, hello there. My name is Henry. I'm a league 6 awesomenauts player who has 92 hours on record, and I, like many others main Genji, (Grim Genji to be specific.) and, unlike many others, am quite good with him. You may wonder how I know this, or why I dare to say this, and that's simply because my friend, Toomuchgarlic luigi, a league 5 player who's made it to league 4 and possibly higher told me this himself. Now, if you still have little faith in me, or now have little faith in me, Just try to get through the pain of reading this possibly terrible guide, and maybe, just maybe you'll be better at Genji because of it.

Genji, in a nutshell

Genji was added in patch 1.15, and is by far one of the coolest charecters in the game. He can be any class you want him to be depending on the build you give him. with storm drum and prefab coccoons, he can be an area denier. With space cow manneur and misfortune cookies, he can be a harrasser. with glow bracelets and space caterpillar statue, he can be a good replacement for voltar in terms of support. (because, lets face it: Voltar is pretty much useless now.) With health pills, moon nectar, and jagra eggs he can be somewhat of a tank, and finally, with storm drum, praying beeds, and space maneur insense, you might dare to call him an assasin.

The strategy

When playing Genji, the last thing you want to do is go Rambo, unless your build was made specifacally for gong Rambo. If your build is similar to any of the builds I talked about in the previous section, I'd recommend staying true to the strategy of the classes those builds follow. unless your build is that of an assasin Genji, always stay with atleast one heavy hitting or tanky teammate when leaving spawn, such as Scoop or Froggy G., And ALWAYS make sure to use monarch blessing when enemies draw near, and on top of that, make sure to be good at aiming your coccoon, as it's a primary part of Genji. A well aimed coccoon could mean the difference between life and death, and a Genji that relies primarily on monarch blessing is a Genji that's severely crippled him/herself. Another thing to consider is that one Genjis key abilities is the storm drum, and that it should always be considered in your build no matter waht your going for, as plastic praying beads alone will not put enough power into the butterfly shot for it to quickly widdle down an enemies health, which is something that Genji is meant for, as his buterfly shot has pearcing right off the bat, which really helps an ally you may be healing take out an enemy that much faster. (It's also FANTASTIC for kill steals. MWA HA HA HA HA!!!)

Why all you non-Genji's should consider Genji

You should consider Genji because he's argueably the BEST support charecter in the game, now that Voltar has been severely nerfed, and since Genji's pretty much the only good charecter now that had support cosidered above all else, doesn't just have a simple side upgrade that a tank or assasin has for their own abilites that are mostly meant for support, and, on top of that, Genji's a fun charecter, damn it! After playing a game with Genji, don't tell me that camping and coccooning people just for the lols didn't release a gigantic surge of dopamine in that noggin of yours! Don't tell me that Genji's early game is the best and least frustrating! Don't tell me a an enemy being taken down because you were able to cocooc him isn't pleasing! (Plus, most G enji's you'll play with are baaaaaaaaaaaddddd. Which is not to say all Genjis are bad, but most are.)
