I appreciate the compliment, but i was speaking in general. But yes, you made a good point. I'm just not the kind of person who cares a lot about what other people think, but, then again, I don't wear any tattoos, so maybe I'm overstepping.
Actually I sometimes get commissions to design tattoos and, so far, I rejected them all. I just don't think I'm the right guy for that, since I am not a tattoo artist. My design is going to pass through another artist in order to get to your skin, I just think that what you wear is eventually going to be a version of what I drew, so you just can grab any of my comics and just pick the panel you like the most.
My point to that is that I think that tattoos are very personal, but maybe I'm wrong, thanks for your insight :)

My counter-argument is that it's an outward overt representation of what you believe in or think about yourself for others to see. My imagination is permanently imprinted with many things, but a tattoo is for others to see. Make it good. This is good enough, and that's a good enough compliment for anyone's drawing.

Well, my advice on that topic is: it is your skin, your tattoo and your liking. Do you like something as much as to get yourself a tattoo? Go fot it.

Life's short and shitty enough as it is, don't make it shittier by worrying about what people say.

I once saw a guy with Halo fan-art for a tattoo. I just smiled and nodded...

People generally don't know enough about Shadowrun to think you tattoo comes from a geeky video game and will probably say: "That's a pretty neat tattoo of a cyborg chick."
