Introduction
This guide will identify the advantages and disadvantages to owning your own house. I will even cover the land plots (DLC only) in this guide.

These are the following houses and plots that will be covered in this guide:

Houses

- Breezehome
- Honeyside
- Vlindrel Hall
- Hjerim
- Proudspire Manor
- Severin Manor

Plots

-Windstad Manor
-Lakeview Manor
-Heljarchen Hall
Benefits of Owning A House
1. Sleeping in our own house will grant you the Well Rested bonus. If you sleep in our home where your spouse also lives, you will also receive the bonus Lover's Comfort. Though if you're under the effect of Lycanthropy (Werewolve) or have the Lover Stone active, you will not gain either of these bonuses

2. Containers in an owned house do not reset, so you may store your items in any chests, wardrobes, cupboards, dressers and others. Without losing your items.

3. You're able to buy decorations for an owned house from the city's steward. Every house's kitchen includes a cooking pot or spit. The Dragonborn may also purchase an alchemy lab for every house. Arcane enchanters are available for every house except Breezehome.

4. Hjerim, Proudspire Manor, and Vlindrel Hall have enough combined bookshelf space between them to hold every available book in Skyrim.

5. Valuable dead bodies can be stored in houses without being reset.

Yea I found a few great houses. Would you happen to know how to put a wood chopping block in the yard?

Using the DLC yes, though there are probably mods for that..

Are those the only 3 land deeds that can be bought? I want to build a home outside of Whiterun, better yet in a remote custom picked location somewhere. All of Skyrim and these are the only 3 land plots to build on?
