How to: Game Options, Full Screen Mode, Resize Window etc.

Basic Function Key commands.

HOW TO (mkxp mode) ← Recommended

F1 - Game options
F2 - Display FPS (title & task bar)
F12 - Screenshot (default Steam key)

Press Alt+Enter to switch between Full Screen and Windowed mode.

To resize the window, simply drag the edges or corner of the window.

HOW TO (rmvxa legacy mode)

The desktop shortcut currently defaults to this mode.

F1 - Game options
F2 - Display FPS (title & task bar)
F5 - Switch between Full Screen and Windowed mode
F6 - Switch between different window sizes (1x/2x/3x)
F12 - Back to main menu

DO NOT press Alt+Enter to enter Full Screen mode. It makes the game extremely blurry due to interpolation. Press F5 if you want to play the game in Full Screen.

DO NOT enable the "Launch in Full Screen" option (setting in the game options) for reasons above.

Thanks for this. I had a game suddenly shrink to just a tiny window, top/left, had minimize dash, maximize was greyed out, and x to close, that's all. Googled how to force fullscreen in steam game and found your guide. Alt+Enter got my game back and I didn't have to email the dev, look like a fool, and cause anyone to jump through hoops. I must have accidentally changed it. My cat's escapades often have "fun outcomes". Thanks again.

The recommended version of this game is quite literally unplayable unless you play 1x native which is a tiny ass box lmao. I just get a black screen with no way to fix it. Just play on Legacy honestly. On full screen you'll get black bars on the side but its the best option I've found.

@ssss thanks a lot my guy. For some reason when i run the game from the desktop shortcut it by default uses the legacy version. As long as i run the game from steam application it asks me for what version to launch.
