Basic Information
ECHO is a stealth game that features enemies who continually adapt to the player by "echoing" their actions.

Although the game is relatively short and not overly difficult, the level design/aesthetic and lack of directional aid (such as a map or collectible markers) can make going for 100% completion a nightmare. Thankfully, I've listed all of their locations here and given a simple description of how to get them.

Be aware that you will need to play through the game a second time on Ultra Hard Mode to obtain the final achievement. I recommend using this guide on your first playthrough on Normal, to minimize frustration.

There are 3 main collectibles in the game:

1. Voices — These are the tuning fork things that you find on tables throughout the game. Pressing E will strike it and collect an audio message. The fact that they are so small means they blend into the environment extremely well, but you can often see them during blackouts because they have a distinct white glow when untouched.

2. Cell Crystals — These are the triangular crystals suspended in midair that give off a faint green glow. Hard to miss once you've seen them. Collecting these gives you progress towards another energy point, as indicated by your HUD.

3. Caste Orbs — These are the blue orbs that appear at the end of every chapter before you ride the caste elevator. The number of orbs you need to unlock the elevator is indicated on the right side of the red cube, and the total number of orbs in the level is indicated on the left. If you plan to get every achievement, grab all of the orbs even if the elevator is already unlocked. I won't list all their locations here, but I will try to list all the locations of the Save Archways that I am aware of. Standing inside a Save Arch reveals all caste orb locations.

Another warning: there is a missable achievement called "Outsourcing" that requires you to collect a voice by having an enemy interact with it. Check out one of the other ECHO guides or a YouTube video for detailed instructions on how to do this. If you don't get this achievement before collecting all voices, you will need to create a new save file and play all the way to Chapter 3 since voices are collected permanently after you save your game, even upon restarting the level.

Before I list all of the collectibles, here are some gameplay tips that can save your life while going for 100%:
- This is a stealth game, not a shooter. You will have an easier time if you avoid fighting the clones head-on.
- The clones forget your moves from before the most recent blackout cycle, so a viable strategy is "run and gun > stealth > run and gun > stealth" and so on.
- You can do various things to force a blackout: tap R twice (whisper), hold R twice (shout), press E twice on a tuning fork, eat grapes, vault repeatedly, open and close doors repeatedly, et cetera. The clones will forget everything and be practically useless the next cycle.
- You can forcefully despawn a clone by killing them during a transition from night to day. You get an audio cue during this time right before the screen goes black (it's like 5-6 seconds long). I do not know if this causes them to go away permanently, or only for one cycle.
- Do not bother trying to shoot the golden clones in Chapter 6. There are too many and they have too much health. Just hide or run past, but take them out immediately if they spot you since their grab is an instant kill. Use Save Archways as necessary.
- If you want to speed up the collectible hunting slightly, one thing you can do is teach the clones to strike the tuning forks as mentioned above. This is unlikely to work, but possible. I have had it happen to me.
- Using a Save Arch during the caste levels preserves your current orb count, so use this as needed when you are going for the total amount of orbs.
CHAPTER II - GENESIS
Chapter I has no collectibles, so we begin here.

Voice #1:
Once you enter The Palace and explore for a few minutes, you will need to jump over a railing to progress. The voice will be directly in front of you.



Voice #2:
After striking the first voice and entering the next room, the second voice is immediately on your right.



Voice #3:
In the same room as the second voice, go to the other side and you will see a wall of mirrors. The third voice is at the end of this wall of mirrors.



Voice #4:
Watch a cutscene and you will enter into a giant green hallway that loops forever. Jump over the railing to progress, and a voice will be right next to you.



Voice #5:
After collecting the previous voice, go forward and En and London will banter some. Walk down a winding staircase, and at the bottom of these stairs, there is a voice behind one of the gigantic vases.



Voice #6:
From the previous voice, go down another stairway and into another hall with green lighting. On your right, there is a voice hidden among many tables and chairs.



Voice #7:
Keep going and you will see an enormous throne. The next voice is on the opposite end of the hallway from where this throne is, hidden in a corner.



Voice #8:
Once The Palace wakes up, go down a long corridor with flashing lights. You will get a new waypoint on your HUD. Ignore it and go the opposite direction, and you'll see an unlocked door. Follow this hallway and you'll see another unlocked door on the left, which contains a voice.



Voice #9:
Continue progressing until you reach a maze of unlocked doors. This voice will be in the first room of this door maze.



Voice #10:
Hug the right side of this door maze, and you will find this voice in a nearby room.



Voice #11:
After encountering the first clone that wants to kill you, this voice is on the right side behind a pillar.



Voice #12:
After the gun tutorial, you unlock a door with a scepter. Go past this door and on the right side, before going downstairs, there is a voice in a room full of chairs.



Voice #13:
This voice is immediately after the area scan tutorial, in the hallways packed with clones. It is behind one of the squares in the middle row. You can shout (R) to lure clones away from it.



Voice #14:
After the riot gun tutorial, there will be a large hole in the floor with a railing in front of you. On the opposite side of this hole is an unlocked door with a voice behind it.



Voice #15:
Go back through the door you just used, and head into the open area on the right. There is a scepter hidden in the corner here. (If you've jumped over a railing at this point, it means you went too far.)



Voice #16:
Progress through the level, and you will jump over a railing and need to run past many clones on a large balcony. At the end of the balcony room, there are several clones guarding a power source. The voice is hidden in an unlocked room on the left side of this power source.



Voice #17:
After the previous voice, you will jump over a stone barrier and start leaving behind holograms. This voice is in an unlocked room right next to this stone barrier.



Cell #1:
Shortly after collecting the previous voice, you will jump over a railing. The first cell crystal will be in front of you.



Caste Orbs:
Here you will encounter your first caste orb. You need 10 to unlock the elevator, but 17 total in this level to unlock an achievement. There are no save archways in this level to show you where the orbs are, so just run around the arena until you find them all. Feel free to sprint and shoot, since the clones cannot copy that functionality yet. You can run circles around them if you want to.



Voice #18:
When entering the caste orb area, this voice is in the far back right corner, behind an unlocked door. You will need to go up some stairs to get there.



Cell #2:
This cell is in the far back left corner of the caste orb room, behind another unlocked door.



Voice #19:
Directly behind the elevator, in a secluded hallway. There is also a caste orb you need to grab in here.

CHAPTER III - PURITY
Total Number of Collectibles:

Cell #1:
Directly in front of you after entering the level, past the tables with grapes.



Voice #1:
In front of a pillar on your left when entering the giant room filled with water. This is much safer to get when the clones are still afraid to go in the water, so grab it immediately.



Voice #2:
When the first blackout begins, sprint over to the right side of the room from where you entered. There is another voice beside the stairs.



Cell #2:
From the voice you just grabbed, go up the stairs and around the pillars next to the objective. There is a cell in the corner.



Cell #3:
After getting the scepter and leaving the water room, you will find the next cell in the only path forward.



Voice #3:
After a steep fall into a prison area, your clones get the ability to open unlocked doors. In the next area, on the left side, there is a voice on top of some L tables.



Voice #4:
Shortly after the room with L tables, you will stumble upon another room filled with water. This voice is behind an unlocked door in the far back right corner from the direction you enter.



Voice #5:
From the previous voice, turn 180 degrees and it's right in front of you.



Cell #4:
This cell is behind an unlocked door on the opposite end of the room where the two voices above are located.



Voice #6:
After passing the previous segment, there will be two unlocked doors in front of you. One of them leads to a HUD objective. The other one leads to this voice.



Cell #5:
Directly behind the other door that leads to your HUD objective.



Cell #6:
After the previous cell, you will get another long walking section. When you re-enter The Palace, this cell is behind the first save archway.



Voice #7:
The first 2 clones you encounter after re-entering The Palace are guarding this voice.



Cell #7:
After grabbing the previous voice, ride the elevators to the bottom floor. This cell will be directly in front of you.



Voice #8:
You will enter a room with many elevators on either side. After crossing the big gap in the middle of the room, this voice will be near the railing.



Cell #8:
Continuing from the previous voice, this cell is on a ledge on the second floor, at the very end of the room.



Cell #9:
You will see this cell in the next area, immediately after encountering the instant blackout dark matter.



Voice #9:
After seeing the smashable orbs for the first time, turn right and ride the elevator up. This voice will be right next to you.



Cell #10:
From the previous voice, follow the wall right and go up the stairs. This cell will be in front of you.



Voice #10:
Grab the previous cell, hop over the railing and turn left. You will see this voice in front of you.



Voice #11:
Very close to the objective marker on this side of the room, beneath a staircase.



Cell #11:
Same area as the previous voice, hidden in a short hallway.



Voice #12:
Same objective area, but on the opposite wall from the short hallway that I just mentioned.



Voice #13:
Grab the first scepter and deposit it at the door. Now head over to the other objective marker, and you will find this voice in the corner.



Cell #12:
Can be found in the closed-off room behind the objective marker.



Voice #14:
On the second floor, in the area between the second scepter and the exit door.



Voice #15:
After escaping with the two scepters, there will be some more dark matter. Touch it to reveal an unlocked door with this voice inside.



Voice #16:
Go down some stairs, and you will be able to see the first caste orb below you. DON'T jump yet. Instead, go to the end of this balcony to find another voice.



Voice #17:
Inside the caste orb room, beneath the staircase where you enter.



Voice #18:
From the first caste orb, turn left and you will find this voice around the corner.



Cell #13:
From the first caste orb, turn right and go past some unlocked doors. Continue following the wall until the path ends at an elevator. This cell will be in front of you.



Voice #19:
In the same general area as the previous cell, on the bottom floor. From the entrance of the caste orb room, this voice is in the farthest back right corner.



Cell #14:
Right next to Save Arch #1, in plain sight.



Voice #20:
In front of Save Arch #1, there is a staircase. Walk up it, and you will see this voice in front of you on the wall.



Voice #21:
On the opposite side of the room from Voice #19, in the farthest back left corner.



Voice #22:
Nearby Voice #18, on the ground floor. This voice is in a small hallway next to some stone barriers and a pool of water.



Cell #15:
Just to the left of the entrance, right next to a caste orb.



Voice #23:
Right next to the exit elevator.



Save Arch #1:
In the farthest back right corner of the room.



Save Arch #2:
Right next to Voice #21.

CHAPTER IV - VITALITY
Total Number of Collectibles:

Voice #1:
When you enter the level, this voice will be directly on your right before you hop over the railing.



Cell #1:
Descend the stairs. Doesn't matter which side. The first unlocked door on your left has this cell behind it.



Voice #2:
In the same room, jump the railing. In the back of this piano room, there is a secret connecting room that contains a voice.



Cell #2:
Go back to the main stairwell. Descend a little further, and there will be elevators on your right and left. Use either one and find this cell underneath the stairs.



Cell #3:
Progress through the level and you'll find a large open room with a raised platform. A cell is sitting in the middle.



Voice #3:
After the previous cell, on the left side there's an unlocked room with a voice inside.



Voice #4:
Keep playing through the level until you reach a massive room with a striped floor. The first voice in this room is on the left side as you enter.



Voice #5:
Continue following the left side of this room until you reach another voice.



Cell #4:
Keep going around the room clockwise and you'll find a cell.



Voice #6:
Get the scepter in the center of the room and ride the elevator below. Instead of going where your objective marker says, go the other way. Follow this path until you reach another voice.



Cell #5:
Go past the previous voice through an unlocked door and you'll find another cell.



Voice #7:
Continue progressing until you reach a series of cramped hallways filled with clones. On the right path, there's a voice hidden behind a man cage.



Voice #8:
Go past the previous voice and turn left. At the end of the hall, there's another voice beside a locked door.



Voice #9 and Cell #6:
At the end of this series of hallways (not where the objective is), you will find these two collectibles right next to each other.



Voice #10:
Right next to the previous voice and cell, inside a large alcove.



Voice #11:
After another walking segment, you'll enter into a gigantic room with many staircases. Turn left and follow the balcony all the way to the left. You will find this voice in a dining room.



Voice #12:
Next to a Save Arch, directly on the opposite site from where you entered this level.



Cell #7:
From the entrance, take the right path. Keep going right until you reach an unlocked door. This cell is on the left after going through the door..



Voice #13:
On the opposite side of the hallway from where the previous cell is, next to some dining tables.



Cell #8:
In a large open room with a harp on stage, above the right scepter.



Voice #14:
In the middle platform of the level, with all the stairs around it.



Voice #15:
Beneath the entrance stairs.



Voice #16:
In a small dining room next to the right scepter.



Cell #9:
Underneath the bridge leading to the exit door.



Voice #17:
Directly underneath Voice #14.



Voice #18:
In a dining area overlooking the left scepter.



Voice #19:
In the large dining area beneath the left scepter.



Voice #20:
On a balcony overlooking the left scepter, next to some dark matter.



Cell #10:
You find this on your way to grab Voice #20.



Voice #21:
From the previous cell, turn around. This voice will be on your right.


CHAPTER IV - VITALITY (PART II)
Voice #22:
After depositing the scepters and progressing through the level, you will enter a massive banquet hall. Follow the path right and you will see this voice on the right up ahead.



Cell #11:
Same area as the previous voice.



Voice #23:
Drop down from the previous cell and this voice will be right behind you.



Voice #24:
On the opposite wall from the previous cell, there is an elevator going down. Take the elevator and this voice will be in front of you.



Voice #25:
From the entrance, drop down and turn around. You'll see two unlocked doors. This voice is behind them.



Cell #12:
On the left balcony, there is a Save Arch up some stairs. You'll find this cell right after the Save Arch.



Voice #26:
In the middle of the looooong banquet table.



Cell #13:
At the other end of the looooong banquet table.



Voice #27:
Right next to the previous cell.



Voice #28:
In the first area where you encounter these retractable bridges, this voice is on the left side.



Voice #29:
In the same area, this voice is on the right side.



Cell #14:
This cell is on the far side of the bridge room from where the entrance is.



Voice #30:
After the bridge room, before you hop over the railing, this voice is on your left.



Voice #31:
From the first caste orb, go left. This voice will be in the path in front of you.



Voice #32:
Beside the previous voice, there is an unlocked door. Go through it, and this voice will be at the end of the hallway.



Cell #15:
One floor up, in the middle tower area. To reach this cell, you first need to teach the clones to use bridges and then trigger a blackout.



Voice #33:
At the highest possible point on the middle tower.



Voice #34:
Top floor, in a corner on the left side of the room.



Voice #35:
Top floor, right side balcony.



Voice #36:
One floor below the entrance, on the right side.



Cell #16:
Same area as the previous voice, behind an unlocked door.



Voice #37:
In the area where you drop down on the middle tower.



Cell #17:
Same area as the previous voice.



Voice #38:
Right next to the exit elevator.



Save Arch #1:
Right beside Voice #31.



Save Arch #2:
Same elevation as Save Arch #1, but on the opposite side of the room.

Highest floor on the left side.

Sitting in the middle of the path forward.



Voice #4:
When you enter the room of many pillars, this voice is on the left.



Cell #3:
Directly ahead in the pillar room.



Voice #5:
On the right wall of the pillar room.



Voice #6:
From the previous cell, go forward and left in a diagonal line. You will see this voice in front of you.



Cell #4:
On the left side of the pillars room.



Voice #7:
In the same area as the previous cell, further ahead.



Voice #8:
On the right side of the pillars room, there is a Save Arch. Next to the arch is an unlocked door. This voice is behind that door.



Voice #9:
Next to the previous voice, there is a hallway filled with water. Follow the hallway and you'll find this voice.



Cell #5:
In the same area as the previous voice.



Voice #10:
On the back left side of the room, near the exit.



Cell #6:
On the back right side near the exit, surrounded by water.



Voice #11:
After getting the scepter and leaving the pillar room, this voice is on the left side behind an unlocked door.



Cell #7:
After touching some dark matter to progress, this cell is directly ahead and on your left.



Cell #8:
In the area after you lose the cube, this cell is on your left as you drop down.



Voice #12:
In a tiny room with 4 sarcophagi, after another drop down.



Voice #13:
In a room right next to the first friendly clones you encounter.



Voice #14:
After dropping down into the friendly clone room, directly on your right inside a hallway.



Voice #15:
First large structure on the right after dropping.



Cell #9::
First large structure on the left after dropping.



Voice #16:
Inside the right row of large structures, in the middle.



Cell #10:
Also in the row on the right, a little further ahead.

Inside the final structure on the left row.



Voice #18:
In a hallway on the left side of the room, behind the structures.

In front of a pillar next to the row of thrones.

CHAPTER V - OBLIVION (PART II)
There are no collectibles in the segment where you recover the cube.

This level has the most confusing layout yet. I will do my best to describe the directions.

If you get lost, using the Save Arches or returning to the entrance elevator can help.

Voice #20:
After picking up the first caste orb, take the path right. You'll see this voice on your left when descending the stairs.



Cell #13:
In the southeast corner, near the middle of the level.



Voice #21:
On a flight of stairs between the middle zone and the outer perimeter, on the right side of the level.



Cell #14:
Inside one of the tall structures on the upper floor, on the right side of the level.



Voice #22:
Continue following the path on the right side and you'll see flights of stairs going up. At the highest possible point, this voice can be found next to a Save Arch.



Cell #15:
Inside the abyss, on one of the very small islands. If you're standing at the entrance, this island is on the opposite side of the level.



Cell #16:
On another small island in the abyss. This one is on the left side of the level relative to the entrance.



Voice #23:
From the entrance, go straight ahead. You'll see this voice directly in front of you.



Cell #17:
From the entrance, take the path left. This cell will be directly in front of you.



Voice #24:
Continue following the left path and eventually you will reach some stairs going up. This voice is off to the right side of the stairs.



Voice #25:
Farthest possible back left corner of the level, upper floor.



Voice #26:
Right next to Save Arch #5. Very back of the level, in the middle.



Cell #18:
Inside a large structure at the back of the level, near Save Arch #5.



Voice #27:
In the large structure right beside the previous cell.



Voice #28:
From the previous voice, while facing the Save Arch, go left. This voice is in another nearby large structure.



Voice #29:
In the middle area, close to the entrance, inside a tall structure on the right side.



Voice #30:
Nearby the previous voice, inside another tall structure on the left side.



Cell #19:
In one of the tall structures directly behind the previous voice.



Voice #31:
In the middle area, in one of the tall structures near the back of the level.



Save Arch #1:
Behind Voice #20, on the right side of the level.

Right beside #Voice 22.

On the left side of the level, directly opposite Save Arch #1.

Uppermost floor on the left side, opposite Save Arch #2.

Very back of the level, opposite the entrance.

Right next to the elevator that leads to the exit.

Same as Save Arch #6, but on the opposite side of the level.


CHAPTER VI - ENLIGHTENMENT

Fairly close to the entrance, on the left side. Bottom floor.

About halfway through the left path, on the middle floor.

End of the left path, bottom floor.

About halfway through the right path, middle floor.



Cell #1:
Right path, highest level.



Voice #6:
From the entrance, go left and up the stairs and you'll see this voice on the left.



Voice #7:
On a table next to the left scepter (the one surrounded by bridges).



Voice #8:
Head through the unlocked door behind the previous voice and this voice will be directly in front of you.



Cell #2:
Next to a flight of stairs leading down from the left scepter.



Voice #9:
From the previous cell, go through the unlocked door in front of you. This voice will be straight ahead. (It's also right in front of you if you take the elevator down from the left scepter).



Voice #10:
Very close to the previous voice, next to a retractable bridge.



Voice #11:
In the middle of the level, right in front of the exit path.



Voice #12:
On the left side near the exit, close to a harp.



Voice #13:
On the other side of the wall from the previous voice, on a raised platform.



Voice #14:
Left side of the level, lowest floor.



Cell #3:
Lowest floor on the left side, in the corner.



Cell #4:
In a room above where the left scepter was. This room can only be accessed by an elevator on the bottom floor.



Voice #15:
Across the gap from the right scepter.



Cell #5:
Lowest floor on the right side, next to a harp.



Voice #16:
One floor above the right scepter, in a hallway.



Cell #6:
From the previous voice, turn around and you'll see this cell on a platform to your left.



Voice #17:
Located in a small room between Cell #5 and the exit gate.



Voice #18:
From the entrance, turn right and go down some stairs and you'll see this voice.



Voice #19:
From the entrance, go up the stairs on the right side and you'll see an unlocked door. This voice will be behind the door on your left.



Voice #20:
Same floor as the right scepter, on the other side of a gap.



Voice #21:
Go to the highest floor on the right side of the level. You'll see a series of catwalks that lead to the back of the level. Follow this path and you'll eventually find this voice.



Cell #7:
Continue following this path and this cell will be directly above the exit.



Cell #8, Cell #9, and Voice #22:
When you descend into the next level, these 3 collectibles will be guarded by a ton of clones. You will need to dispatch them, or lure them away and use the riot gun to get past.



Voice #23:
On a walkway beneath the aforementioned collectibles.


CHAPTER VI - ENLIGHTENMENT (PART II)
Cell #10:
In front of you after you leave the room with the first gold clone.



Voice #24:
Top floor, directly ahead in the room full of gold clones.



Voice #25:
Bottom floor, right side.



Cell #11:
Bottom floor, left side.



Cell #12:
Top floor, left side.



Voice #26:
When you ascend to the caste orb level, take the left elevator. Go up the stairs in front of you and this voice is around the corner on the left.



Voice #27:
From the previous voice, go directly ahead and it's on the left.



Cell #13:
On a balcony in the middle area at the very back of the level.



Voice #28:
Drop down from the previous cell and this voice is right behind you.



Cell #14:
On the farthest right wall, from the perspective of entering the level. Top floor.



Voice #29:
Left side of the top floor, on a balcony overlooking the left elevator.



Cell #15:
Middle portion of the top floor, on the left side.



Voice #30:
Middle portion of the top floor, on the right side.



Voice #31:
Farthest back right corner of the level.



Voice #32:
At the lowest possible elevation, right beside 2 caste orbs surrounded by water.



Cell #16:
At the lowest possible elevation, on the right side of a balcony overlooking the entrance.



Cell #17:
Inside a small room on the left side, on the lowest floor.



Voice #33:
Inside a small corridor on the right side, near the center of the level. Second floor.



Cell #18:
On the farthest right wall of the level, first floor.



Voice #34:
On this table on the right side, very close to the exit.



Voice #35:
Inside a room full of caste orbs on the right side of the level. First floor.



Save Arch #1:
At the very top of the level, in the middle. This Arch is great to use as a "home base" while you collect the orbs, because the elevator behind it connects right down to the first floor.



Save Arch #2:
On the right side, one floor below the top floor.



Save Arch #3:
Same floor as the entrance elevator, on the left side.



Save Arch #4:
At the lowest elevation, in the center of the level. Overlooking the pool of water with 2 caste orbs.



Cell #19:
The final collectible. You get this in the final arena with only golden clones. No point in getting it now, but might as well, eh?

Final Thoughts
Thank you for reading, if you made it this far.

I really liked this game. I think it gets a slightly unfair rep from people who weren't patient enough with it, or misunderstood what the game was trying to do with the gameplay. I don't see myself ever replaying it, but I think with some more development time and polishing, this game could've been something really special.

Nevertheless, I hope this guide served you well and I hope that my navigational descriptions weren't too vague. Good luck on Ultra Hard Mode!
