How to Downgrade Lost Planet 2 to GFWL version

This guide explains how to downgrade Lost planet 2 to GFWL to play online etc.

Downgrading to GFWL version

1. on the keyboard hit Start+R and a run dialogue will appear paste this command in it steam://nav/console



2 Copy & paste this command in the console and hit enter download_depot 45750 45751 8392302490593567738
It will start downloading with no progress indicator, wait until it says it's finished



3. when its done you will find it in your steam folder for example (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_45750\depot_45751) copy everything from inside the folder

4. Right click on Lost Planet 2 on Steam Client and then click manage and then click browse local files then delete everything inside the game folder and paste the files you downloaded earlier


5. now run the game normally if done correctly you will see the GFWL overlay

Someone please add this the the pc gaming wiki for this game. This is how I was able to get Dawn Of War 2 back on GFWL. Sucks we have to keep doing this because of people who claim to be PC gamers but complain about everything

After restarting from the beginning it worked. A coop campaign mission was successfully started and played.

the only difference between me and motel's computers is he in running windows 11

I never had a home button personaly, so I always used de vertical arrow button (it's either on a button itself or on the 7 numpad).

OK. FIXED AND FULLY WORKING, I added the game dx11 and 9 launchers to my windows firewall, aswell as the 2 games for windows live .exe's and then restarted my computer and it's working now. Time to help motel, we are in the same house trying to get this to work. so we can have a LAN party

I tried the core fix and was able to run, saw the windows live in the corner but home button did not work. Tried fresh install and repeating steps with core fix and the game no longer booting for me. System restart and firewall off, going to keep trying.

The fix that worked was installing xbox app on my pc and signing in there fixed that issue. Now it gives a Fatal error while signing in "E_INVALIDARD : present_result" and crashes while downloading profile

yes and when you say you are unable to login what do you mean? because logging in the first time does take a few minutes sometimes even over 5 minutes
