By TWPanda77
This is a simple guide to quantum-encrypted, multi-dimensional tips to surviving space, undead pirates, evil robot emperors, and explosions. Do not worry though, I did all the science so you can do all the smashing!

Introduction
So you have leapt into the chaos of the multiverse, armed with a wrench, sass, and a dimension-hopping companion who somehow manages to be adorable, funny, quirky and explosive. Welcome to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, where reality is broken, robots are rude, and fashionably late Lombaxes are still the heroes. Time to get you set up to conquer this beautifully bonkers game with sparkles, tips, and some seriously smooth frames per second (even if you do own an 8gb RTX4060) Haha!

Completely adorable. Not on a panda level, but adorable none the less.
Graphics Settings: Making the Multiverse Pretty (and Playable)
Intel Arc Girls: They see no crashes, hear no driver bugs and speak no benchmarks

XeSS ON (it is like digital contouring for your FPS)

Medium Ray Tracing (you can have sparkly reflections, just not every reflection)

High Textures (because blurry bolts are just sad)

Dynamic Resolution Scaling = Yes. Like automatic foundation blending—smooths out rough spots when things get too intense.

For NVIDIA owners. Those are the people that need DLSS for everything and believe they need ray-traced puddles. They will pay double for 5 more FPS and call it an investment. Haha!

No, I don’t care how cute the GPU is.....! if it costs more than my entire shoe collection and performs like a toaster, it is a no. I want high frames and low prices, honey. Budget slay or no play! In other words price to performance. :p

DLSS Quality (smooth and pretty)

Ray Traced Reflections ON (Flex that RTX power like it is a new handbag)

Everything else on High or Very High (unless you hear your GPU cry)

For AMD Baddies fighting for Team Red. (RX 6600 XT and up, the 6500 XT is absolute pants and I doubt anyone is rocking one of those):

FSR 3 Balanced (Fabulous Speed Rendering!) I think that is what it means.

Ray Tracing: Medium or Off (off is much better if your card starts sounding like it is vacuuming)

High Settings across the board on any board really from any team unless you're very poor and have a 10 series card or an RX550.

* Tip: This game LOVES VRAM. 8GB is a soft minimum if you want to look good while bouncing through dimensions. Trying to run Rift Apart on 4GB of VRAM is like showing up to a multiverse battle in flip-flops. You try stepping through a rift with that, and you’re gonna freeze harder than Emperor Nefarious’s personality.
Basic Gameplay Tips: Combat Boots & Dimension Hopping
Strafe like a killer energetic panda: cute, quick, and totally untouchable. Okay, maybe not like a panda, they like to climb and roll. Anyway what I am saying is that standing still is for cutscenes!

Break ALL the boxes: They are not just storage boxes for stuff, they have bolts, raritanium, and health pickups. You need this stuff to shoot pirates in the face, to heal and level up. Thankfully there are a lot of therm. Oh, and smashing stuff is therapeutic.

Use the Phantom Dash liberally: It is like teleporting through trouble. You will feel like a ninja with glitter. No, seriously you will.

Hoverboots are heels with rockets: Upgrade your mobility and you will strut through arenas like it is Fashion Week in Nefarious City. Use them often to get around quickly and easily. I do like new shoes and there are many styles to collect.
Best Weapons and Upgrades: The Must-Have Blasters:
Ratchet and Rivet - can unlock new experience levels and you'll develop both characters simultaneously. They will always have the same amount of XP, and will have the same armor and weapons with all of the same upgrades. In short, you will not "lose" anything when you switch from Ratchet to Rivet and vice versa.

  • Topiary Sprinkler: Turns enemies into hedges. Classy and deadly. Perfect for crowd control with a touch of landscaping.
  • Negatron Collider: Big, dramatic, and sounds like it should be on Drag Race.
  • Lightning Rod: Zap enemies while feeling like a goddess of storms.
  • Warmonger: Because sometimes, subtlety is overrated.

Upgrade Priorities:
  • Upgrade ammo efficiency and area of effect first. More boom, less reload.
  • Focus on status effect perks because stunning and slowing enemies is basically controlling the runway.
  • Mr. Fungi becomes Mr. FABULOUS when upgraded. He is your mushroom-shaped emotional support assassin.

Style Meets Strategy:

  • Collect Armor Sets for passive bonuses. It’s like fashion buffs with nanotech. Plus, they're matching sets? So that is a fashion win.
  • Raritanium is your glitter: rare, sparkly, and meant for upgrades. Don’t hoard it, use it.
Final Tips from a Multiverse Panda
Still no pandas featured in the game. Zero! Not even a holographic one. I'll be writing to the developers to express my emotions about this soon. This is the only true flaw in the multiverse and the only true flaw for the entire game.

Do not rush, explore and take in the view. This game is pretty and rewards curiosity with secret zones, jokes, and sometimes a disco ball.

Photo Mode is super cool. Strike a pose mid-fight, it's giving "galactic Vogue." You can do more than just move the camera and add filters. Ratchet and Rivet can also pose for the photo to make some unique snapshots. There's unique poses and facial expressions to use and they are all adorable.

Rivet is a groovy dancer. Inside Zurkie's Bar is a jukebox. Put a song on and stand next to it. The game will prompt you to press triangle, which starts Rivet dancing. She has several different moves, all of which are wildly entertaining.
