An explanation of effect interaction rules and presentations of tools to simplify mixing.

I’m putting out this guide mainly for myself for use as a reference for when I’m making new mixes, as most mix guides just tell you the mix and don’t give you a good structure to experiment with mixes yourself. It contains spoilers, it may not be 100% accurate and I may not update it down the road when this all probably changes; Enjoy it in the meantime, use and distribute the information and charts within however you feel like. :)

🧪 Basic Mixing Rules

-Default Behavior: Unless a transformation is listed, a new effect just adds itself to the mix.

-With Transformation Interaction: The effect transforms the target effect and adds itself to the mix.
(Order matters for value and further transformations.)
❗ Two Key Exceptions:
-If the transformation result is already in the mix, it will just attempts to add its effect into the mix.

-If the effect you're adding is already in the mix, it won’t add a copy of itself into the mix; it just attempts to transform the effects it can have interactions with.

-No Recursive Mixing:
Example: A + B = C, and C + D = E
If D is already in the mix, A D + B = CDA, not EA.

-Stable Mixes: Mutually exclusive effects won’t interact unless triggered directly.
