This guide will help you complete all achievements in Eldritch.

Easy Achievements

Gross, It’s All Wet - Acquire the Soul of Dagon
You will get this achievement if you take the blue soul, at the end of the first world

Gross, It’s All Sandy - Acquire the Soul of Nyarlathotep
You will get this achievement if you take the red soul, at the end of the second world

Gross, It’s All Slimy - Acquire the Soul of Cthulhu
You will get this achievement if you take the green soul, at the end of the third world

Sweet Revenge - Destroy a lizardman statue
To get this achievement, you have to throw dynamite at a lizard statue in the second world

Well Read - Read the complete History of the library
For this achievement, you have to read all the non-glowing books in the starting area

These Timeless Words - Perform the Ritual of Binding
To get this one, you need to place the three souls on their pedestals in the main area, and complete the library level, and with that the game

Medium Achievements

Asylum

As Fast Azathoth - Survive for 3 minutes after Azathoth spawns
If you start a run in the Asylum a 3-minute timer will start. If the timer reaches 0 Azathoth will spawn, and kill you instantly, if he reaches you. This sounds difficult at first, but Azathoth is pretty slow, and can therefore be avoided.
Tip: Look for a large open room and just jump around.

Soul Purpose - Free 500 trapped souls from the Asylum
To unlock this achievement, you need to free 500 trapped souls in one run. As with most other levels, the Asylum has 3 sub-levels. To complete this achievement, you must reach the end with a minimum of 500 souls.

Where to find souls

• You can find white orbs all around the asylum. If you collect one, you will get 5 or 10 souls depending on the size of the orb.
  
  
• If you see a glowing block and mine it, you will get 10 souls.
  
  
  
  
• If you see a tile that stands out, you can also mine it for 10 souls
  
  
  
  
• You can also use the soul trap spell to transform enemies into souls
  
  

As you can see from the screenshots, finding several pickaxes is key for this achievement.

Other

All That Junk - Deposit 9999 artifacts in the bank chest
The best way to grind for this achievement is the Halloween dimension, which can be accessed with the pumpkin in the main area.


Free at Last - Perform the complete Ritual of binding
For this achievement you need to find three hidden items one in each world. These rooms are marked with the book symbol on the minimap, if you have the compass. If you read the book you will be teleported to an unknown dimension, where you will find the item.


I recommend getting the Dagon-item last, because it replaces the compass.
If you have collected all the items, you have to light 3 candles in the last level. Each of them is in one of the sub-levels. If you don´t have the compass anymore at this point, you can find the room by just exploring the complete level. In my experience these rooms don´t always have an easy access point, so a pickaxe is recommended.

Hard Achievements

What Final Horror - Escape the Mountains of Madness
In order to escape the Mountains of Madness, you have to reach the 10th sub-level and grab the plane keys. As soon as you get the keys a shadow will follow you, which can be annoying, because you need to get back to the surface.
In my experience a gun and a pickaxe work well for this world.

R´lyeh Nice to Meet You - Make friends with a star-spawn
On the surface of the Mountains of Madness you will find a green star-shaped soapstone. You need to carry it to the 10th sub-level and find the hidden book (usually with dynamite or a pickaxe) and read it.
If you do that, you will be teleported back to the main area with all your items. You then need to go into the third (green) world and speak with a shopkeeper. Doing this will grant the achievement.

A Marvel I Cannot Fathom - Finish the game in New Game+ mode
In order to activate the New Game+ mode you need to grab the white orb in the main area, after you have completed the game the first time.


In New Game+ you will find less loot and stronger enemies. A good way to complete this achievement is using the Halloween dimension to re-equip yourself between worlds.
More tips can be found in the section "General Tips".

Never Enough Time - Finish the game in under 10 minutes
The best strategy for this one is using the Halloween dimension to get pickaxes and a few keys.
With the pickaxes you will be able to just dig your way through the world very fast.

If you are lucky and find the Lift-spell, the last world also becomes very easy when combined with a pickaxe.

It will probably take a few tries to get this achievement since you need to get lucky with pickaxe durability and world generation.

Not a Scratch - Finish the game without taking any damage
This is in my opinion the hardest achievement of them all. Not taking any damage can be very difficult, especially in the second world, because of the statues, and the flying demons, which can sometimes be hard to see.

Again, it is very useful to use the Halloween dimension to your advantage.
The best spell for this run is either the Teleport spell to quickly get out of dangerous situations or to skip them completely, or the Lift spell for the same reason.

General Tips

• Use the Halloween dimension to your advantage. It contains a lot of loot, including healing and gear.
  
  
• Pickaxes are essential. They not only help you reach areas for achievements, but also grant you the ability to escape difficult situations.
  
  
• Complete the second (red) world first, because it is the hardest of the three, and you lose all your souls if you die.
  
  
• The best spells are Lift, Teleport and Soul Trap, because they provide you with a lot of utility.
  
  
  
• In the first gear slot, I would recommend either the compass or the Destruction Amulet.
  For the second one, the medical kit, because it has unlimited uses as long as you have 50 artifacts on hand.
  For the last one, I would recommend the jump boots, because they make it easy to access certain parts of the map.
