The workbench itself could do with a black curtain that get drawn behind you when it's used, also the lights need addressed going normal to UV is not the great. And as you said during the daytime the lighting is horrendous.
The scrooge mcduck comment made me laugh and is comment of the day. HAHA

I find it was good for maybe 100 or 200 bills at once but beyond that its just to slow and clicky. The money gun I think holds atleast 300-400 bills, I can evenly spread bills out and pick out the marked ones (assuming its night time so the lights are effective) around a few UV lamps. I can do a totally full XXL cardboard box in around 10 minutes. But predominately I just enjoy shooting wads of cash out of it.
Most times I am sorting there is a relatively low percentage of marked bills vs good ones so its usually pretty quick, plus I can pick up all the good bills with one or two arm fulls.
BUT...The fact there isn't a huge deep pool for me to fill with cash then jump into and swim around like Scrooge McDuck is by far the biggest travesty of this game! hah
The workbench is really strong to count money out, you put down a bundle and place the first bill either side for left or right handed. once you start counting the bills from one pile to the other it's like a magnet once you get good at it.
I also use the worked to sort out marked bills in right bundle too wished the lighting was better tho.
I have no idea the exact number of loose bills one of those XXL cardboard boxes holds, id imagine probably around 10k of loose bills..
I haven't played since the 1.0.2 patch came out, so that method might 100% work now. It wasn't reliable as of 1.0.1. I was using this as a detection method for hours until I happened to be standing next to the sorter with a UV lamp watching, saw the marked bills flip by and pulled out the scanner and the quest objective for marked bills was good. Hopefully that is fixed as of 1.0.2 because it always seemed to be the marked bills with the eye symbol to the best of my memory.
I have a whole section on why I stopped using the scanner to check for marked bills for this exact reason.
If you watching the XXL counter too and see marked bills add to a stack 100 you can stop the machine once the bundle is counted, take it to the workbench to remove the marked bills instead dropping them on the floor.
Am not saying it 100% catches every marked bill as i come across some really faded marked bills that was hard to pick up by UV light.
I purposely dropped marked bills (the eye pattern) into my box of sorted bills and scanned it with the scanner with that quest with those conditions active and it still said my box was free of marked bills.
I had a section in the guide about using the quest objectives to scan my boxes to make sure I didnt have marked bills and according to the scanner the box was clean, but I had to change that section because the scanner kept telling me it was free of marked bills, however id dump out the XXL box and sure enough there were a bunch of marked bills. So I dont find those quests and the scanner reliable.
