my build :
-Staff of Tzeentch
-Robes of the Deathless
-Daemonic Gift of Spite
-Mark of Tzeentch
-Tome of Doom
-Icon of Summoning
-Oracle stave
-armor of might undivided
-rubric touched helm
-daemonic gift of sustenance
-tome of hunger (backup heal for those times when fate weaver does not trigger or there are no high hp mobs to kill)
-icon of summoning
With this you can 1 v 1 any and all of the strongest mobs, provided you engage them with fate weaver ready and triggered and get a second trigger before they kill you. If the first hit you make has not already turned them into dust.

Tips
Sometimes allowing yourself to die helps as you get a full bar of energy ;)
Let your copies engage, you can then port around bringing and leaving warp fire
Stacked warp fire totally murders anything, I repeat anything,
Swarmlord can die super quick with a stacked wf if you are not
too near after he spawns, he stands in the fire and burns to death ;)
Also, with my build, each swing costs 3 energy, not 5, because of the Daemonic Gift of Sustenance.
As for downsides, it seems that once you have no energy, the sword no longer deals additional (Hell Attacks) damage. In practice I rarely run out of energy with this build. It is not the strongest Sorc build, that's for sure, but it's plenty lulz and fun to play.
I've just tested it - with the Orb of Blood you still can't 1v1 Carnifex, which is a shame.
My build:
Cataclysmic Hellblade - massive HP regen -> Daemonic Gift of Sustenance
Armour of Might Undivided - Unshakable and Fearless
Accursed Idol
Orb of Vengeance or Scroll of Blood - either works but Vengeance = more lulz
Daemonic Gift of Sustenance - Zealous and Combat Vigor
Icon of Summoning - +125 health.
Shoota Boyz, cultists, Warriors with Venom Cannons etc. - fire up the Orb of V and wait until they die. Banshees are a joke. You can 1v1 Lictor, Tyrant Guard, mounted Bloodletters, some vehicles (but avoid Dreadnoughts, like IGuy said). Avoid eg. Plasma Gun Space Marines.
Stay close to allies and fire up Orb that also covers them.
You can take the Orb of Blood instead. The enemies don't die as quickly but you get even more HP back. The problem here is that you will swing your sword more often and have less energy for Orbs.

Icon Of Summoning
In short what you get is moveset which is fast , has Doombolts if needed and a lot of energy , aloing with being able to summon a doppleganger with both stronger attacks and lifesteal .
By combining the Icon of Summoning, Vestments of Might Undivided, Daemonic Gift of Sustanence, Orb of Vengeance, Accursed Idol and Staff of Tzeech.
You'll have +125 health, unshakable and fearless (because fuck knockdown), self healing (ranged attacks don't provide energy regain), the orb and idol combine for a 250% damage return to attacking enemies (orb 150% and idol 100% respectively) and the essential mobility provided by warp.
Durable enough to tank predator fire and destroy high damage and low durability enemies. Effective on banshees to. Just watch out for Super heavy and tough melee enemies (melee Dreadnought, stormboyz, Swarmlord, Nurgle and Avatar o Khaine) that's why you need warp.
give it a try.
