however, nowhere in any settings can i itemize creation. meaning i cannot prevent specific blacksmiths from makeing specific things. the reason this is important? at base level (so no points) it takes a blacksmith 270s to craft 1 legendary item. When upgraded to max, that is 5s per legendary item.
now, witt he further complication of workbenches it its no linger a straightforward calculation, but point being the blacksmith is way faster, regardless of grade, when maxed out.
so if you have blacksmiths in your shop that are not going to be leveled up, they are going to cost more money than you will save.
and i make about 200k per day. so the differance in pay wages is so negligable its pointless.
i disagree with your math.
what is also effected by level is the blacksmiths abilities, specifically the amount of time they take to craft things. so haveing workers int he shop, takeing up space and underperforming crafts while being paid more than others is a hinderance. as whether you level them are not you are still paying for the difference.
So maths says you're better off having low level purple workers for the group buffs, and then a bunch of extra cheaper blue workers with the income savings.
also, i have not noticed any downside to leveling them.
infact, it sems only the opposit will be true.
as item quality increases, time to create also increases.
the only things that help this are blacksmith levels, and abilities.
so as a shop increases in complexity, both in output level, and overall quality of goods, it is only a hinderance to have people not increaseing their skills.
also, the blacksmiths will level to 15, alowing them to max out all of their skills.
