If you're looking to complete Monster Con, this is your guide! I've linked a Google Sheet containing all events and outcomes, endings, conversations, etc. Save your own copy and use the checkboxes to keep track of your progress.

How to Use this Guide

You should primarily be using my templates (linked below) to keep track of your game progress.

Notes: Please leave a comment if you see incorrect info or if the event numbering is off (when new events are added all the numbers change - the devs already added 4)!

In order to edit my Sheets, you have to make your own copy.

Instructions:
Open the Sheet you wish to copy while logged into a Google account. Navigate to the top left-hand corner and click "File". Use the drop-down menu to select "Make a Copy". Name your copy, and you're good to go!

Note: When you make a copy, it is static. This means that the copy will not update as I update the documents. This also means that you have to refresh the page to see updates if you are viewing my Sheet.

Icebreakers: Explained

Likes:
You will choose 3 likes that will impact your starting stats and determine which main characters will appear in your early events. There are 60+ total likes, each associated with a stat, and 1-3 main characters. 12 random likes are available to choose from each game.

Favorites:
You will rank your top 3 favorites given a random prompt that will determine your starting stats. There are 6 prompts, each with 5 options that are associated with a stat.

Stat impact:
Base stat level: 7
Each like: +1
1st favorite: +8
2nd favorite: +5
3rd favorite: +4

Comics: Explained

Each game you will complete a comic, mad-libs style, that will be revealed to you at the end.

There are 9 comic genres that you can choose from:

• Shonen
  
• Romance
  
• Sci-Fi
  
• Superheroes
  
• Maho Shojo

• Period Drama
  
• Sports
  
• Comic Strip

There are 6 comic prompts you will answer across 3 sessions. Your answer choice results in gaining 3 of the associated stat and losing 1 of each of the other choice's associated stats.

Events: Explained

Exchange Events
Exchange events are zero-sum events where a stat is always gained and another stat is always lost in the same amount. You will gain the stat associated with the outcome you chose, and lose the stat associated with the outcome you didn't choose.


Check Events
Check events are events, usually seen in Plotlines, where each outcome is associated with a stat,and those stat levels are compared against each other. If your stat level associated with the outcome you chose is higher than the the stat level associated with the outcome you didn't choose, you will succeed and gain some of that stat. If your stat level associated with the outcome you chose is lower than the the stat level associated with the outcome you didn't choose, you will fail and lose some of that stat.

However, there are also thresholds for success and failure - if your stat level is too low you will fail even if it is higher than than the option's stat level, or if your stat level is sufficiently high you will succeed even though it is lower than the other option's stat level.

If you fail a Plotline event, you fail the Plotline and will not be eligible for it's associated ending. See Plotlines: Explained for more information on Plotlines.

Yi Feng's Mystery Box Shop

You will visit Yi Feng's shop once per game, where you can draw a random mystery box figurine that will impact your game.

 Note: Yi Feng's Mystery Box Shop is not available in short games. 

Some figurines need to be unlocked.

Guests & The Food Court: Explained

You will visit the Food Court twice per game, where you can date and converse with the main and guest characters.


Dates and Spice Levels:
The first time you visit a character in a run, you will choose an activity and go on a date with that character. Activities have different spice levels, indicated by chili peppers, that determine how platonic or romantic the Date Ending text will be:

• Level 0 - Platonic
  
• Level 1 - Romantic
  
• Level 2 - Suggestive
  
• Level 3 - Explicit

Additionally, once you successfully complete a plotline, a new date activity will become available for the Plotline's featured character (whichever character you had to ask to the Spooky Con afterparty to experience the Ending). The activity will have an open scroll icon next to it. If chosen, you are guaranteed the first event of it's associated plotline next turn.


Conversations:
The second time you visit a character in a run, you will choose a topic and have a conversation with that character. Some conversations unlock Plotlines, see Plotline Endings: Explained for more information.

Main Characters:

These characters are seated in pairs across three tables. Visit the table and choose which character you'd like to interact with.

The Bird

You can visit the empty table in the Food Court for some alone time. If you visit a second time, you will have a conversation with the Bird. The conversation is unique for each playable character.

Date Endings: Explained

Date endings occur when you successfully ask a character to the Spooky Con afterparty. There are currently 19 Date endings in the game.

Date Success Requirements:
Each character has some kind of requirement for a successful date. I'm still working out the exact thresholds, but you can find my work-in-progress notes on the "Endings" page of my Google Sheet.

Going Alone

If you meet the stat thresholds for any main character's Date Ending or meet the requirements for a Plotline Ending, and choose to go to the Spooky Con afterparty alone, you will get a successful ending.

Plotline Endings: Explained

Plotline endings occur when you successfully complete a plotline and ask it's associated character to the Spooky Con afterparty. There are currently 16 Plotlines in the game, some with multiple Ending variations.

Plotlines feature a series of story-connected events, with a mixture of exchange events and check events. Some Plotlines need to be unlocked, and some Plotlines require specific actions to trigger them.

 Note: Plotlines are not available in short games.

I got the parrot proof achievement by doing a secret ending route for Nico where he is the ace attorney. All you have to do is pick the parrot option every time; it should be 3 trials! It popped after picking parrot for the 3rd time. Hopefully this helps
