Multiplayer Bugfix: Objects disappearing, unusable, etc
By Schakara
When playing multiplayer with my friend I regularly faced a bug, where certain objects (eg storage racks) were just missing, while my friend (the host) could still see them and certain other problems, like unusable chemistry stations, etc. This guide explains how to fix this issue.

The bug explained
If you play in multiplayer, it sometimes happens, that both of the clients get asynced between the host and player. The problem affects the *guest*-player (the host will still see everything as normal).

Symptoms (guest-player):
- Objects are not visible any longer
- Objects cannot be used any longer
- Objects do randomly appear somewhere within the playable world, outside of any purchased property

Here's an example of how this looks:

As far as I can say, this mostly happens when the host places obejcts while the guest is not nearby. But I'm not certain about that one.

I encountered this problem in game version 0.3.4f8, idk if this is still a topic in the future.
The bugfix
First of all, I'm not god and I don't know everything. TLDR; YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Anyways. This is what the HOST of the game has to do:

Step 0)
End the game if it is running atm.

Step 0.5)
Disable Steam Cloud for your game (right click the game in your library, hit properties, remove the Steam cloud save tick) - Thanks to Y E T I for mentioning this in the comments section ♥

Step 1)
Open the file explorer and head to:
C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS

Step 2)
Create a backup of the "Schedule I" folder within this. Just for safety.

Step 3)
In the current folder structure, head to \Schedule I\Saves\<YOUR STEAM ID>\<YOUR SAVEGAME NUMBER>\Players

Step 4)
Take each folder EXCEPT the "Player_0" folder, copy these to somewhere else, and delete them in the current Players folder.

You should now ONLY have the "Player_0" folder remaining within the Players folder.

Step 5)
Go back into game and host the game, let your friends who previously had the problems join.

Step 6)
Your friends are prompted to create new characters. Don't bother to do any visual customization, since their original will get restored with the next steps.

Step 7)
Once they have created their characters and successfully joined the world, save the game and quit.

Step 8)
In Step 4 you were asked to copy the player data folders to somewhere else. Locate these, and copy the "Appearance.json", "Clothing.json" and "Inventory.json" back to their respective original location, hit yes on overwrite. (Make sure that each player folder gets back their original files) - This will restore all (uncorrupted) data.

Step 9)
Go back ingame and enjoy the (hopefully) bug free world with your friends.

Repeat this, if you encounter this again later. Hope this helps u <3
(If this does, I'd love if you write a comment here, so I know that this work wasn't to no purpose)

Found a fix that actually works for this. It's a client side issue, not a server one. Likely something to do with some kind of corrupt caching with world object locations. Backup your save files from the directory above ON THE CLIENT MACHINE. (to save your own worlds). Uninstall/reinstall the game. Copy the saves back in. Should fix it.

Thanks @ Y E T I that might have been the missing part of the puzzle. Will add this to my manual.

before delete player_idsteam you must get cloud sync off. then you can delete or make new save. invite friend to new save. go sleep together. save game. close game. now you need playrd_idsteam of your friend and copy it to your original save folder players.

invite friend to lobby. when he is in. start original save. thats it

Can anyone send me their problematic save game file (+ some screenshots of the missing stuff) so I can take a look? I'm kinda wondering that everyone responds it didnt work, since for me it already worked twice.

I want to check up if I probably missed some detail in the guide, so I can fix this.

You have to delete the folder with the long ID, not Player_0!!!

Did not work for me. I looked at the files, there is no way this would do anything....

Hey benlor, I sent you a friend request. Mind sending me your savegame file which has said problem and provide me with further information? I'd like to do some testing 🙂

Didn't work for us. Following 100% of the steps. Thanks for the try though.
