How to DLSS + FSR3 FrameGen together!
От Within
Since this game supports everything except DLSS + FSR3 running together and most of us would rather not be stuck on FSR3's vomit inducing image shimering, below you can find instructions on how to get both DLSS upscaling and FSR3 framegen working together.

Keep in mind this will only work with Nvidia 2xxx amd 3xxx gpus.

1. Download DLSS to FSR3[Universal] from NexusMods
https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738?tab=files

2. Head to this folder in your OblivionRemastered installation folder.
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64

3. From any of the folders copy this file "dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll" and paste it into the above folder.

4. From each of the folders dll_winhttp/dll_version/dll_dbghelp grab each respective DLL winhttp.dll and version.dll and dbghelp.dll or you can try each .dll one by one as one of these triggers FG to work.

5. Start up your game and FrameGen should now be available whilst using DLSS, which means it will be using FSR3 FrameGen.

6. If this helped you, please write Thank you Mr.Havel in the comments.

Apparently to take advantage of DLSS auto exposure you should also turn down DLSS sharpening really low (0.1-0.3) or off since auto exposure is much better.

To enable Auto Exposure via Engine.ini (found at [Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows], enter these lines:

[ConsoleVariables]

r.NGX.DLSS.AutoExposure=1

This helps reduce DLSS ghosting. I also reccomend turning off screen space reflections in the game settings as it has some issues as well.

they fixed that already, I fixed it by downloading the right version of DLSS to FSR Frame Gen. For Oblivion Remastered gotta download the Universal Version.

They removed DLSS from the gamepass version by accident, no idea if it got restored. I would recommend waiting for patch.

This is not working for me and I do have the corresponding files in the correct place, as I had to use this mod for Monster Hunter Wilds as well. I have also used dlss swapper to swap all the upscaling modules to the latest version. Does this only work with the steam edition of the game? I am using gamepass version.

@Grim I have this exact installation with MH Wilds and it works.
But here it's like @FuscusNight said, I can flip the button, it shows me 60 fps or 120 whatever is the cap i set, but in reality it's half of that, and i can cleary tell because at 60 everything is ultra choppy like i'm at 15 or something.

And when i turn it off and set the cap a 60 it's like 120 with framegen, it litteraly halve my fps. Or it just tell me i'm at 120 when i'm at 60 idk but something is not working.

There is no placebo. If your frames are not 50-60 to begin with FG is not going to feel smooth at all. I can tell FG is active because not only does my game become smoother the UI begins to ghost partially as do various other UI elements. That + the added latency which I can actually perceive even with reflex.

If you crouch and move around the vignette will start ghosting slightly as well which is indicative of framegen actually being active.

Most of this would ofc be resolved if they devs bothered to optimise the game and implement the same model tsushima, spiderman use that allows you to use FSR3 FG and DLSS without any modifications.

You can always update the .DLLs but its not guaranteed to improve anything.

So i gave this a shot, the mod it self even has a more polished explanation how to install it plus turned on GPU scheduling, something i turned off many years ago because for a while that thing was considered to be a performance detriment but i assume after some years of patching, Microsoft finally fixed it up.

I tried out all versions, they all let me flip the frame gen button with dlss on my 3060 but it doesn't work, it will show up as if your fps is higher but it's actually not generating any fake frames, it does not look smoother and i can tell because when i delete the two files and go back to using FSR 3 with Framgen, i can immedietly tell how much smoother it looks, actually this mod breaks even regular fsr frame gen with fsr 3.

I think a lot of people here are experiencing a very strong placebo, they see number go up but don't notice it didn't smooth out anything and that no fake frames are generated.

@Kit Yeah, it's a poorly written step that I commented on a few days ago.

Skip everything past Step 2 in this guide.

After you download the universal folder from Nexus, go to wherever it downloaded.

One of the folders in the downloaded folder should be titled "dll_version".

Go to that folder and copy those two dll files over (version.dll and dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll) to steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64.

You don't need to copy over the README.

@Sayne Frame generation will never feel smooth when the game runs under 50-60fps, which happens alot in this game since it stutters so frequently regardless of your hardware. Oblivion Remastered has awful frametimes and this will need to be sorted by patches and hopefully a better NVIDIA driver. Frame generation can also introduce considerable input lag which contributes to that lack of smoothness.

No one else did, sounds like a skill issue to me.
