This helps reduce DLSS ghosting. I also reccomend turning off screen space reflections in the game settings as it has some issues as well.
But here it's like @FuscusNight said, I can flip the button, it shows me 60 fps or 120 whatever is the cap i set, but in reality it's half of that, and i can cleary tell because at 60 everything is ultra choppy like i'm at 15 or something.
And when i turn it off and set the cap a 60 it's like 120 with framegen, it litteraly halve my fps. Or it just tell me i'm at 120 when i'm at 60 idk but something is not working.
If you crouch and move around the vignette will start ghosting slightly as well which is indicative of framegen actually being active.
Most of this would ofc be resolved if they devs bothered to optimise the game and implement the same model tsushima, spiderman use that allows you to use FSR3 FG and DLSS without any modifications.
You can always update the .DLLs but its not guaranteed to improve anything.
I tried out all versions, they all let me flip the frame gen button with dlss on my 3060 but it doesn't work, it will show up as if your fps is higher but it's actually not generating any fake frames, it does not look smoother and i can tell because when i delete the two files and go back to using FSR 3 with Framgen, i can immedietly tell how much smoother it looks, actually this mod breaks even regular fsr frame gen with fsr 3.
I think a lot of people here are experiencing a very strong placebo, they see number go up but don't notice it didn't smooth out anything and that no fake frames are generated.
Skip everything past Step 2 in this guide.
After you download the universal folder from Nexus, go to wherever it downloaded.
One of the folders in the downloaded folder should be titled "dll_version".
Go to that folder and copy those two dll files over (version.dll and dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll) to steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64.
You don't need to copy over the README.
@Sayne Frame generation will never feel smooth when the game runs under 50-60fps, which happens alot in this game since it stutters so frequently regardless of your hardware. Oblivion Remastered has awful frametimes and this will need to be sorted by patches and hopefully a better NVIDIA driver. Frame generation can also introduce considerable input lag which contributes to that lack of smoothness.
