The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
This guide is brought to you by MapGenie, your go-to source for interactive maps that make your gaming life easier. Whether you're slaying in Red Dead Redemption 2, hunting for every Korok seed in Breath of the Wild, or searching for hidden treasures in The Witcher 3, MapGenie’s got you covered.

With detailed maps showing everything from collectible locations and quest markers to NPCs and secret stashes, it’s like having a cheat sheet except it’s totally legal and definitely not going to get you banned.

Check out https://mapgenie.io/oblivion/maps/cyrodiil for even more interactive maps, and get ready to explore like a pro.

Please Note: The Interactive Map is currently being updated. We’ve gone into the game’s files and extracted the map to bring you the most accurate information. As new content becomes available, we’ll continue to add updates. We have two dedicated teams actively searching and playing through the game to ensure everything is accurate and to check for any missing details. We’ll post an update in the guide's comments once the map has been fully revised.

By joining, you’ll not only level up your gaming skills, but you’ll also be pleasing Uriel Septim VI because who wouldn’t want to make the Emperor proud, right? Don’t worry, he’s probably too busy with politics to notice, but it sounds epic.

If you’re up for it, send me a friend request on Steam and drop a comment on my profile explaining why you’re the perfect fit. I’m looking for two players who love gaming and are dedicated to searching every corner of the map.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is MapGenie?
A: MapGenie is an online platform that creates high-quality interactive maps for video games. Whether you're hunting collectibles, tracking quests, or just trying to figure out where that one annoying key is hidden, MapGenie has you covered. Their maps let you filter by items, enemies, locations, and more making it easy to 100% your favorite games without endlessly backtracking.

MapGenie currently supports over 100 different titles, from massive open-world RPGs to intense survival games. Each map is crafted with precision, often with input from players and contributors who dig deep into the game’s world. It’s a must-have tool for gamers who want to explore every inch of a game without missing a thing.

Can’t anyone just make a Steam guide using MapGenie? And why don’t all games have their maps included in the guides?

A: Yes, technically anyone can throw together a Steam guide and link to MapGenie, slap their name on it, and call it a day. Steam allows users to contribute content freely, so you’ll see plenty of guides out there with mixed levels of effort, accuracy, and involvement.

But this guide isn’t one of those. I only post Steam guides for the games that my team has personally covered meaning we’ve played the game, explored every nook and cranny, and verified the info ourselves. If a game’s map isn’t included here, it’s because we haven’t worked on that title (yet). We care more about quality and trust than just throwing links at a page.

Plus, by maintaining our own official guides here, it gives us a direct way to update fans who are following the Steam guide whenever the map gets new content, corrections, or features. So if something changes, you’ll know right away no guesswork, no waiting around.

How many interactive maps has your team covered so far?

A: Here’s what we’ve got in the pipeline so far:
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 – Fully covered with a detailed, verified interactive map.
Sons of the Forest – Fully covered with a detailed, verified interactive map.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered – Currently in progress! We're still exploring, verifying locations, and polishing the details to make sure everything is accurate before marking it complete.
We are currently in talks in trying to get Dying Light: The Beast.

Technical Issues

Help! The maps appear broken or don't load.
If you visit a map and you only see a black space instead of a map, then it's likely that you just need to enable hardware acceleration or WebGL in your browser (normally these are enabled by default but some browser extensions may change your settings).

Visit https://get.webgl.org to check if WebGL is working in your browser.

I re-opened the map and all my progress is gone
It's possible that your browser is showing you an older cached version of the page (this happens when you close an re-open your whole browser - it doesn't reload your open pages).

Refresh the page and you should see all your progress!

@MidKnight- Totally understandable! If there's ever a game map you'd like to see on our site, feel free to let us know! We're always excited to add more interactive maps for everyone, and of course, it would be free of charge!

Nice, but I'm waiting for the $5 Lifetime purchase, not the yearly subscription. I don't need to spend $10 a year for 186+ maps when I only need 1 map.

@Seljdon To clarify: there isn’t a $4.99 one-time purchase just for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion map. The $4.99 is a monthly subscription that unlocks all maps on Map Genie, including Oblivion, not a single map purchase.

If you want full access to the Oblivion map and every other map, you can either:

Pay $4.99 per month (good if you only need it short-term), or

Pay $9.99 once for a whole year (way cheaper long-term).

Free users can still access the Oblivion map, but with limits like fewer pins, no progress tracking, and ads.

There’s no individual 'buy once' option just for Oblivion it's all handled through the subscription system.

its 9.99 for a year, 4.99 for one payment is far far superior because 4.99 is more expensive and it gives more money to the company as opposed to 9.99 for a whole year for ALL maps. You didnt answer my question, are you guys not doing the 4.99 for this map?

@Seljdon--Subscription-Based Revenue Model: A subscription model (like Pro+) provides ongoing revenue that helps the developers maintain and update the app regularly, rather than relying on a one-time payment. This ensures long-term support for the app, including new features, bug fixes, and content updates.

The Pro+ tier likely includes more comprehensive features, like offline maps, progress tracking, and customizations, which may require continuous server maintenance and updates. By offering it as a subscription, the team can better fund these ongoing costs.

A single purchase for Pro would limit the developers’ ability to invest in ongoing improvements or cover the costs of server infrastructure. With a subscription, they can provide consistent updates, customer support, and data maintenance.

In short, while a one-time payment for Pro might seem appealing, the subscription model allows for continuous improvements, new features, and better overall support for users.

And why can't we purchase this for $4.99 as a single purchase for pro? Only MapGenie Pro+ is available.

Have a suggestion?
Is there a tab or filter you’d like to see: Enemies? Unicorns? Vampires? Something cursed and hidden in the woods? Let us know in the comments!

Thanks for following the guide and helping us make this map the best tool in your inventory.
