Practical Survival Tips
By Doomvora
I'm writing this guide because I feel a lot of people are struggling with the game. These are my observations based on my time played — which isn’t extensive, but I’ve made a focused effort to understand how things work. Even if some of these insights are off, they might still help you improve or approach the game differently.

Intro
Firstly, don't expect it to be Nmrih 1.

These tips are based on my own experience and observations. While some of these insights might not be universally applicable, I’ve found them helpful in my playthroughs. Hopefully, they’ll help you improve your game or approach it differently.

It should be noted that some of this information may be inaccurate.
Tips
1. Don’t clump together. Stay in teams of 2–3. The more players in a ~100–150m radius, the more zombies spawn. Splitting up allows for looting side objectives without the spike in difficulty caused by large groups. Regroup at the final objective after the three mains are done.

2. Don't make lots of noise (watch where you sprint, don't use your gun unless at an objective), noise = attention, attention = danger.

3. Use elevation, zombies aren't smart (usually), you can get on top of cars or containers and thin them out from above.

4. Have someone dedicated to kicking zombies to the floor, this makes fighting infinitely easier.

5. Spread supplies around, if you hear someone coughing, drop phalanx pills for them.

6. Communication or using the ping system is key.

7. Play slower when not at main objectives

8. Play faster when at main objectives

9. Use combos, Charged attack (lmb) into quick attack (rmb) is enough to down most zombies and uses the least amount of stamina.

10. Do not sleep on portable radios, these things are so sleeper, they can single-handedly allow you to do an objective if you aggro too many zombies.

11. Kite... Kite... Kite

12. Your attack range is deceptive with 2 handed large weapons, you can hit things that appear to be too far away with certain weapons (fire axe, large wrench etc).

13. Drag your attacks around (ala chivalry style), this ensures you stagger a lot of enemies if you can't escape them.

14. Don't game-end yourself if you're infected, you can easily survive the entire match if you get infected early on if you do side objectives for phalanx pills.

15. Use phalanx pills when your character voice starts coughing like they're becoming "zombified" (it's very noticeable when it happens), you can wait for the red veins but you may take a tiny bit of damage doing so. This is easier if someone tells you that you're coughing like that as sometimes the audio doesn't play for the infected person.

16. Don't have everyone use the same weapons, try to split who's using what ammo so that everyone has enough firepower for the finale objective.

17. Don't abandon people. Having one less person in the area makes the game easier in later stages, but it doesn’t stop the zombies that are already spawned. This can spiral fast if you leave someone behind

18. Don't hit the canister on firefighter zombies, this spawns a sprinting zombie.

19. Kick shield zombies to the floor.

20. Learn when zombie attacks have hyper armor (get into the habit of shoving any zombie that is doing their attack animation).

21. Some objectives have environmental hazards, pay attention so you don't die to gas and can't be revived.

22. Stealth > Combat at non-main objectives, Combat > Stealth at main objectives (the 3 that are required to start the finale and the finale)

23. Patience and awareness are king in this game. This isn't left 4 dead, it's not nmrih 1, it's not back 4 blood.

24. If you’re frustrated with public lobbies, try playing in a private match with just one or two others (in a squad). The experience is often smoother, more strategic, and less chaotic.
In Closing
Character level doesn't matter, you can do nightmare with a level 1 character.

Hopefully this helps some of you play the game, no I'm not looking for arguments about how the "game is bad" or "it's too hard" , this is meant to provide tips and help for players that are looking to improve.
