During all this time I tried my own ideas on joining options in the co-op. But I didn't succeed, I looked at a lot of options, and advice from others, but all these people seemed wrong. Someone said you can use the same method as for the regular version, someone suggested using different programs for connecting and other patches for downloading. And after I spent 5 hours of my life, I managed to find a method to play Co-op, and this method does not correspond to logic, but it is very funny.

Well, in this topic I will also make a short video on this method, although for those who can read the video will not be needed, but we will still make the world safe and I will post the video.

(I hope my tutorial will be useful and not useless, I saw on Reddit someone released an unofficial update for the game with many improvements and also with bug fixes with coop mode, but I haven't read it yet)

The method

Don't forget to go through the prologue, save so that you have the option to play co-op!

You just need to select in the resolution tab you need a resolution but with a limit of 60Hz/fps (Only Player 1 (host) should have a limit of 60 fps if he is going to start a lobby/company. But if there are problems during the game with frequent disconnects, then let both players have a limit of 60hz/fps, But after you join the game together, you can change it again to the value you need. It is simply very important that during the game you do not have a desynchronization and you do not have a disconnect), the rest of the settings can be used for any choice.
Don't worry, when you already enter the game with your friend, you can change the setting to the maximum purity of your monitor's hz.


If suddenly it still doesn't work, then turn off the "Multisampling" function.

Additional information
- There may be a problem in Co-op that you and your teammate may have a disconnect for some unknown reason. This problem has been known for a long time and there are still no methods to fix it. But not everything is as bad as it seemed, try resetting your game settings and put your previous ones, also put the Connection of the game in the settings "Only friends" and try to play Co-op further. I recently had this problem in co-op too. I just reset the settings, and then made my own again, then restarted the game and continued playing co-op, and everything was fixed. Well, again, it may be different for everyone.

- This problem is related to the synchronization of the game itself. Unfortunately, the developers have tried little to make such ideal synchronization as in the usual Dead Rising 2.
When I played with my teammate who has a fps limit of 60 and I have 120, and I am the host, it is noticeable that my cutscenes start to twitch a little, which immediately shows that Dead Rising 2: Off the Record has a problem with synchronization.

- As a last resort, just try playing together at the same FPS limit so that you don't have disconnects if that helps.

- Or when connecting to each other, that is, player 1 (Host) and player 2, set 60 fps as in the video, and after you have connected, you can change it again (maximum to 120fps), after this there should be no problem with disconnection.
