Intro

bro·mide /ˈbrōˌmīd/
  • noun a trite and unoriginal idea or remark, typically intended to soothe or placate.
Most of the achievements for Lunar Remastered Collection can be earned naturally by playing through the game, however the bromides are highly missable. I have compiled this guide referenced from other sites' guides to assist players in finding all the bromides in both games.

If you notice any errors or would like something added to this guide, please feel free to leave a comment!

  • Add walkthroughs for Lunar 1 and 2
  • Add sections for individual achievements, starting with soaps, red chests, etc.
  • Consolidate bromide sections into a single achievement section for each game, keeping all current details
Bromides: Lunar 1 - Silver Star Story

In both Lunar games, one of the more infamous collectibles are the bromides—a picture that can only be obtained by talking to specific characters at just the right time. They’re easy to miss, and while the games themselves are fairly straightforward, missing even one bromide can force a replay if you're aiming for full achievement completion. The original game is especially strict with its timing for these events, while the sequel offers a bit more leeway in when you can obtain them.

Please note that there will be minor spoilers, as many of these collectibles are tied to specific story beats or events. This guide is for the Remastered version only.
Note: Bromides are sorted in chronological order (order you obtain them in the game) rather than it's naming order.
Multiple Save Files!
While you are hunting down all of the bromides, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND saving often and saving to multiple different save files in case you accidentally miss one! If you do not have a backup save file from before the bromide collection time window, you will have to restart the game. That will make you sad, and that will make me sad too. Take advantage of all of your save slots!!!

PSX/Classic Version
In order to avoid confusion, I have removed instructions to obtain the bromides in the Classic version of the game. Therefore, this guide will assume you are playing the Remastered version. If you are playing the Classic version, please refer to one of the many other guides that are out there for that version as the method for obtaining the bromides IS different.
Ramus' Shop (REQUIRED!)
Instructions:
This step is required to obtain the last few bromides in the game. It takes place early on—you’ll need to visit the weapon shop in Burg and speak to the man on the second floor while Ramus is still in your party. Lend Ramus 30 silver.
⚠️IMPORTANT: The Remastered version streamlined bromide collection by having Ramus sell many of the bromides through his store. Therefore, if you are following a guide for the Classic version and you are playing the Remastered version, you might do some unnecessary steps as well as miss some of the bromides.

What is VERY important is making sure you lend Ramus 30 silver at the beginning of the game, because you cannot fall back on the Classic version methods of obtaining the bromides, as those methods were removed in favor of selling them in Ramus' shop.
If you missed out on lending Ramus 30 silver before going to the White Dragon Cave, you can still do so after the cave, but make sure you do it ⚠️BEFORE departing to Meribia from Saith. Ramus will leave your party after completing the Meribian Sewers, at which point it is too late to lend him the silver. You will not be able to return to Burg after sailing to Meribia until later in the game (long after the Sewers).
Mia's Bromide 1 - (1/13)
Instructions:
This one is a freebie; it's in Nash's inventory.
Note - I suggest taking the bromide from Nash's inventory before he leaves the party. However, if you didn't grab it before he left, WonkoTheSane87 confirmed that Nash will still have the bromide when he rejoins the party later in the game.
Note: Nash leaves the party at Myght's Tower
Luna's Bromide 2 - (2/13)
Instructions:
Right after bringing Ghaleon to meet Quark, head to the basement of Alex’s house. Check the shelves there to find a bromide of Luna.
⚠️WARNING: Make sure to collect this bromide before Jessica rejoins the party. If you wait too long, the event can be missed, and you won't be able to return to collect it.

Specifically, after bringing Ghaleon to meet Quark and before returning to Meribia, head to the basement of Alex's house and check the shelves to find the bromide.
Jessica's Bromide 4 - (3/13)
Instructions:
Right after watching Kyle fend off Xenobia’s monsters, ⚠️do not speak to him. Instead, head to the basement of Nanza and examine Kyle’s bed—the one with the black and red bedsheets. If you recruit Kyle before getting this bromide, you will not be able to obtain it.

Jessica's Bromide 1 - (4/13)
Instructions:
Once Kyle joins your party, head to Althena's Shrine near Vane. In the altar room at the far back, speak to the girl on the right who believes she’s Jessica’s sister to receive the bromide. You will need to talk to her twice to get the bromide.

Rememberizer
You can obtain the Rememberizer from Ramus for free in Meribia after Kyle joins your party and before proceeding to the Frontier. If you miss out on getting it from him at this point, you can still buy it during the epilogue, but it will cost 65,000 silver.
NOTE: You cannot use the Rememberizer to obtain any bromides in Lunar 1. I added this note just in case you don't want to miss out on obtaining it (though if you are going for all of the bromides, you won't miss it!).
Phacia's Bromide - (5/13), Royce's Bromide - (6/13), Xenobia's Bromide - (7/13)
These 3 bromides are sold in Ramus' Store after Kyle joins the party.

Mia's Bromide 4 - (8/13)
Instructions:
Right after Nash leaves the party at Myght's Tower, travel to Iluk and visit the purple house in the northeast corner. Speak to the man inside to receive the bromide.
Jessica's Bromide 2 - (9/13) & Mia's Bromide 2 - (10/13)
Instructions:
Both of these bromides are sold in Ramus' Store after Althena Fortress appears.
⚠️IMPORTANT NOTE: These bromides are only available when Alex is alone upon waking in the epilogue. Visit Ramus' shop immediately after waking, before interacting with any other characters.
Luna's Bromide 1 - (11/13)
Instructions:
Talk to Ramus at his store during the Epilogue.
Jessia's Bromide 3 - (12/13) & Mia's Bromide 3 - (13/13)
Instructions:
If you remembered to help Ramus early in the game by covering the 30 silver he owed, then during the epilogue he will return the favor by selling the final bromides in his store.
Bromides: Lunar 2 - Eternal Blue

In Lunar 2, bromides are collectible images featuring various characters. While they don't impact gameplay, collecting all of them is essential for full achievement completion in the Remastered Collection. Unlike the first game, Lunar 2 offers a more forgiving window to obtain these items.

Please note that there will be minor spoilers, as many of these collectibles are tied to specific story beats or events. This guide is for the Remastered version only.
Lucia's Bromide 1 – (1/22)
Instructions:
After Lucia has been healed, talk to the man standing outside his house on the east side of Larpa, just above the Althena Statue.

Jean's Bromide 2 – (2/22)
Instructions:
After rescuing the caravan crew from the monster, talk to the rest of the crew until the vines are removed from the exit. Then talk to the girl who was guarding the exit of the Illusion Woods.

Jessica's Bromide – (3/22)
Instructions:
In Meribia, go to the pub (house to the right) and talk to the man in the northwest corner.

Lemina's Bromide 3 – (4/22)
Instructions:
In Meribia, enter Ramus's Store and talk to the grandpa by the counter four times.

Lemina's Bromide 2 – (5/22)
Instructions:
Still in Ramus's Store, examine the barrel in the northwest corner.

Mia's Bromide – (6/22)
Instructions:
At the Transmission Spring near Vane, talk to the man holding a pitchfork.

Lemina's Bromide 1 – (7/22)
Instructions:
In Vane's library, examine the bookshelf in the top row, far right.
Note: This is the final bromide you can obtain during the main story. If you haven't missed any up to this point, the remaining bromides can be collected during the epilogue without any special requirements or time-sensitive conditions.
About the Epilogue
  • When you save your file during the ending, loading it will now bring you to the Epilogue, which acts as a post-game story that eventually leads to the true ending.
  • This section allows you to freely explore the world in any order you choose.
  • There are several optional dungeons that reward you with the strongest equipment in the game, along with a chance to collect many of the remaining bromides during this segment.
Note: You now have access to Lucia's Pendant. This item functions similarly to the White Dragon Wings in Silver Star Story, allowing you to teleport to any town or location you've previously visited. However, it does have limitations—it cannot be used inside buildings, so you'll need to step outside before activating it.
Mauri's Bromide 2 – (8/22)
Instructions:
Open the treasure chest behind Mauri's house in Raculi.

Mauri's Bromide 1 – (9/22)
Instructions:
After Ronfar rejoins you in Raculi, talk to Mauri; she will give him something to remember her by.

Luna's Bromide – (10/22)
Instructions:
In Vane, talk to the couple who were once part of Nall's group; their house is the first one to the left of the entrance.

Borgan's Bromide – (11/22)
Instructions:
Talk to Borgan at the Magic Guild in Vane.

Jean's Bromide 3 – (12/22)
Instructions:
At Madoria Carnival, talk to the man on the right of the fence; he'll sell you the bromide.

Jean's Bromide 4 – (13/22)
Instructions:
At Madoria Carnival, there's a treasure chest on the second map behind the balloons.

Lucia's Bromide 3 – (14/22)
Instructions:
Talk to the fairies at the Mystic Ruins; talk to the fairy located in the upper right corner to receive a bromide.

Ghaleon's Bromide – (15/22)
Instructions:
There is a chest at the top of the Mystic Ruins in the room where you saw the historic records.

Rememberizer
  • This is a side quest that rewards you with the Rememberizer, an item that allows you to view all the anime cutscenes in the game. It allows you to re-watch key cutscenes, which in turn unlocks certain bromides that you may have missed due to event flags.
  • To begin the quest, head to Nota and go to the bridge, then enter the building to the east and speak with Julia.
  • Choose the second dialogue option when prompted.
  • Afterwards, make your way to the pub on the west side of Nota and find Kyle sitting in the far left corner.
  • Talk to him, select the second option again, and continue the conversation until he leaves.
  • Once that's done, return to the bridge for an event.
Note About the Rememberizer: Unlike Silver Star Story, in Eternal Blue, the Rememberizer doesn't automatically unlock cutscenes as you view them throughout the game. Instead, to make the anime cutscenes playable through the Rememberizer, you’ll need to revisit the locations where the events originally triggered. When you find the right spot, a dialogue box will pop up, confirming that a scene has been unlocked.
Lucia's Bromide 4 – (16/22)
Instructions:
Check the jail cell in Taben's Peak; there is now a box in there.

Lucia's Bromide 2 – (17/22)
Instructions:
During the Epilogue, look in the baby's crib at the top of Taben's Peak.

Nall's Bromide – (18/22)
Instructions:
Go to Taben's Peak and talk to one of the kids in the room next to Nall's.

Jean's Bromide 1 – (19/22)
Instructions:
Go to the house to the left of the main dojo in Horam. Talk to the old man there.

Lemina's Bromide 4 – (20/22)
Instructions:
In Meribia, there is a chest found on the very left side of the sewers.

Mystere's Bromide – (21/22)
Instructions:
Talk to the old man at the northern gate of Takkar Village.

Hiro's Bromide – (22/22)
Instructions:
During the Epilogue, go back to the top of Lionhead where the final battle occurred and search for a chest that now contains Hiro’s bromide.

Bromide X
Following multiple sources, Bromide X is no longer present in the Remastered version. It is also not required for the achievement.

Congratulations on collecting all of the bromides!

Walkthrough: Lunar 1 - Silver Star Story

This classic RPG is rather straightforward by modern standards—progress hinges on talking to the right NPCs and heading to story destinations, though unlike contemporary games, it won’t hold your hand with objective markers (that’s where this guide will help).

For Boss Combat, MP management is the key to success. If you enter boss fights with a good amount of MP, you’ll rarely struggle. For achievement hunters, beware two notorious challenges: "open every red chest" achievement, and a collection of Bromides (missable items granted by talking to NPCs or examining objects at specific moments).
⚠️Be warned, this game lacks any auto-save feature. Make a habit of saving manually at every opportunity, and always keep multiple backup saves. If you encounter a Game Over, you’ll revert to your last save.
Note: This guide is for the Remastered version. If you are playing the Classic version, please refer to a guide for that version specifically as some things are different such as boss scaling and bromide collection methods.
Burg, White Dragon Cave, Weird Woods, Saith
Burg
  • Objective
    • After regaining control, leave to the NE and head to the springs to see a movie scene.
    • Head to the house located northwest of town. Talk to Alex's father to receive a Dagger, Sling, and Flame Ring.
    • Head to the basement and grab all the treasures.
    • Talk to Ramus by the town entrance on the west side.
    • Leave town and take the northeast path, and it will lead to a cave.
  • Tip 1: Unlike most RPGs, Lunar doesn't feature traditional inns for healing. Instead, you can fully restore your party's HP and MP by examining the statue of Athena found in towns.
  • Tip 2: You'll notice a distinctive red chest in Ramus' house (the big one in the center) early on—but don't waste time trying to open it yet! These treasures require a key you won't obtain until much later.
  • Treasure and Items: Dagger, Sling, Flame Ring, Dragonfly Wing, Herb, Star Light, Angel's Tear, Garbage Can Lid (Red Chest)
White Dragon Cave
  • Objective
    • Head to the center part of the cave to find the dragon.
    • Proceed to the left room where you'll encounter ice pillars blocking your path. To clear the way, lure the gorilla-type enemies into charging at the pillars - their attacks will shatter the ice. Continue deeper into the chamber until you reach the final treasure containing the Dragon Ring.
    • Show the ring to the dragon.
    • You can leave by looking for the exit or use the Dragonfly Wing to warp out instantly.
    • Treasure: Herb x4, Star Light, Dragon Ring, 500 Silver, Dragon Diamond (Story Item)
    • Return to Burg and examine the Athena statue.
    • Head to the general store and talk to the shopkeeper.
    • Return to the path to Alex's house, Ramus will start a conversation.
    • ⚠️Before going anywhere else, head to the weapon shop. Then talk to the guy upstairs to help Ramus. Doing this is required to get some of the bromides at the end of the game. Collecting all of the bromides is needed to complete all the achievements.
  • Then leave town and head to the forest to the west.
  • Tip 1: There is an achievement for winning a battle without a weapon equipped. Once you have acquired this, equip the weapons Alex's father gave you.

Bare-Handed Bravery - [L1] Fought enemies with no weapons
  • Tip 2: Use AI battle to acquire another achievement. Then press the trigger buttons to adjust the battle speed for another achievement.

The AI Awakens... - [L1 or L2] Used the AI Battle Commands for the first time

Can You Keep Up? - [L1 or L2] Changed the battle speed for the first time
  • Tip 3: When a party member falls in battle, there's a small chance Nall will swoop in to revive them. This not only saves you in a pinch but also unlocks a trophy when it occurs.
  • Trivia: Ramus does not gain any other stats but HP whenever he levels up.
⚠️Important Bromide Step!: Make sure to talk to the man upstairs in the weapon shop and pay him back the money Ramus owes him. This is required to get some bromides for later.
  • About Bromides: Bromides are usually found by talking to specific NPCs or examining objects at a specific time; they're easily missable.
Weird Woods
  • Objective
    • Navigate through the forest until Ramus leaves.
    • Return to Burg and then head to the path to Alex's house for an event.
    • Talk to Luna inside Alex's house.
    • Talk to Alex's parents, Alex's mom will give you 1000 silver.
    • Talk to Luna again.
    • Talk to Alex's parents to end the night.
    • Talk to Ramus near the west exit, then leave Burg to the Weird Woods.
    • Navigate through the woods until you're surrounded by monsters.
    • When the mysterious stranger offers assistance, be sure to accept his help. Refusing will trigger an extremely difficult battle that doesn't advance the story - Even if you win without his assistance, you will be forced to beg for his help again (This loops three times before it ends).
    • Exit out to the world's map, head south until you find the town of Saith.
  • Treasure: Antidote x6, Herb x4, Wrath Ring (Red Chest, hidden to the NE near the exit)
Reminder: You cannot get the Red Chests yet. They are just listed here for reference.
Saith
  • Objective
    • Head to the pier and talk to the shopkeeper. Afterwards, talk to the people in and around the building. They will mention that Brett has the Sea Chart, and the captain lost it in wager.
    • Go to the Pub and talk to Brett in the back corner. Bet several rounds with him.
    • If the scene with Brett doesn't take place, talk around with NPCs around the pier again, and return.
    • After the event, talk to Brett again to get the Fortune Cane.
    • Leave town and go to the northwest path to the Old Hag's Forest.
    • Try to grind and save up at least 2000 to 3000 Silver.
  • Treasure and Items: Protection Ring (Red Chest), Fortune Cane (Event)
Old Hag's Forest, Meribia, Meribian Sewers, Cave of Trial
Old Hag's Forest
  • Objective
    • Navigate through the forest, there are empty treasure chest here that lures monsters. Opening them will unlock a trophy.
    • On the way, you'll run into Nash, your 4th party member
    • At the north end, you will find the Sea Hag's House.
    • Talk to the sea hag and trade the cane for the sea chart.
    • Return to Saith and talk to the Sea Captain at the pier.
    • Agree to slay the monster for him to engage in a boss fight.
    • After defeating the boss, talk to Luna.
    • While inside the ship, use the 2000 to 3000 Silver to buy 2 to 3 bars of soap. You will need them to unlock a cutscene for later. You can also get by with 2000 Silver, as there is an event that will give you a bar of soap and a red chest later in the game that contains another bar of soap.
    • Talk to Ramus and Nash on the ship.
    • If you talk to Luna twice, it will advance the story.
    • Head to the deck to view another event.
    • The following day, head to the ship's bow to land in Meribia.
  • Treasure: Herb x3, Monster Chest x4, Star Light, 800 Silver, Silver Light (Red Chest in Hag's House)
  • Boss Tip 1: Buffing characters is key to victory and can be applied twice before diminishing returns set in. If Luna is at level 9, she gains access to Cascade Song, which boosts a party member’s attack. Using it on Alex can make his Sword Dance deal massive damage.
  • Boss Tip 2: Bosses have different starting animations for their attacks. You can use this gimmick to anticipate some of their attacks.
  • Bromide (1/13): Mia's Bromide 1 - Automatically when the 4th party member joins. It's equipped to his accessory slot.
Meribia
  • Objective
    • Head to the main castle and talk to Master Mel for an event, and then a one-on-one battle.
      • Winning or losing is entirely optional and will not affect the story.
    • Make sure you buy the best available gear. There are several weapon and armor shops, but the ones in the main city sell the latest equipment.
    • Exit out of the west part of town. Then look for the fortune teller's house at the very left end of Meriba.
    • Head back to the main city. Then look for the shop next to the armor shop. Ramus is trying to sell the Dragon Diamond here.
    • Agree to the offer, then head to the backroom to the sewers.
  • Treasure: 2000 Silver (Red Chest)
Meribian Sewers
  • Objective
    • Purchase a Dragonfly Wing from the General Store.
    • Navigate through the dungeon, you can lower bridges by examining the blue switch on the walls.
      • Note: Two treasure chests, as well as the Red Chest, that you see near the end of the dungeon can be reached through Mel's Castle.
    • When you reach the basement level, you'll see the Thief. Speaking with him will start a boss fight. Make sure you're ready before talking to him.
⚠️Before you move another step, take off the stuff you have equipped on Ramus. Or at least, make sure he doesn't have anything important on him.
    • After the boss fight, exit the dungeon using a Dragonfly Wing.
    • Talk to Dross.
    • Leave Meribia through the north gate (west of the castle) and travel south to find the spring of transmission. Nash will make a comment about Vane along the way.
    • Talk to the man guarding the springs.

    • There is a boss waiting at the end, since items are prohibited, make sure you have a decent amount of MP to win.
    • Treasure: 500 Silver x3, Healing Ring, Soap (Red Chest)
  • Note: This dungeon has a dinosaur-like enemy called Chiro - Lunar's equivalent of the 'Metal Slime' from Dragon Quest. These elusive foes will typically flee from battle immediately, but if you're quick enough to defeat one, you'll be rewarded with massive silver and EXP gains. As a bonus, taking down a Chiro for the first time also unlocks an achievement. This achievement can also be earned in Lunar Eternal Blue if you missed it here in Silver Star Story.

Professional Hunter - [L1 or L2] Defeated Chiro for the first time

    • Laike will hand over the White Dragon Wings, you can use this to fast travel to locations you have visited before, and also as a tool to escape dungeons.
    • Fast travel to Meribia.
    • Defeat the monsters around you during the event, and then head to the castle. You'll have to take the long way around the city due to boxes.
    • Go to the arena side for an event.
    • Fast travel to Vane, and a boss fight will ensue.
    • Talk to Nash and Mia until they join your party.
    • Then go to Nanza and head to the center to trigger another boss fight.
    • ⚠️DO NOT TALK TO KYLE. Instead, look for Kyle's bed; examining it will give you one of Jessica's Bromides. It's the bed with the red diamonds in the NE part of the basement area.
    • Talk to Kyle to recruit him, then warp back to Althena's Shrine, in the rear altar room, talk to the girl on the far right, twice to get another one of Jessica's bromides.
    • Once Kyle joins the party, warp to Meribia and head to Ramus' store. He will sell you the Rememberizer Key Item and some bromides. These include Xenobia's, Phacia's, and Royce's Bromides.
      • You should have 7 Bromides at this point. 6 more to go.
      • Even though Bromides are expensive, they should be bought immediately when available. Ramus will eventually stop carrying these Bromides after a certain point in the game, meaning if you miss your chance, you won't be able to obtain them later.
    • Return to Nanza and take the southeast exit to the world map.
    • Head to the nearby town of Reza.

  • Bromide (2/13): Luna's Bromide 2 - Examine the shelves by the treasure chest in the basement.
  • Bromide (3/13): Jessica's Bromide 4 - Examine Kyle's Bed before recruiting him.
  • Bromide (4/13): Jessica's Bromide 1 - After recruiting Kyle, head back to Althena's Shrine and talk to one of the girls twice.
  • Bromide (5/13): Xenobia's Bromide - Purchase from Ramus' Store after Kyle joins the party.
  • Bromide (6/13): Phacia's Bromide - Purchase from Ramus' Store after Kyle joins the party.
  • Bromide (7/13): Royce's Bromide - Purchase from Ramus' Store after Kyle joins the party.
Reza
  • Objective
    • Head to the town center for an event. You will temporarily lose the function to fast travel.
    • Head to the pub to the north and talk to the bartender working there.
      • Make sure to upgrade equipment at the weapon shop and armor shop here.
    • Head out to the world's map. Check the town located south of Reza, which is Iluk, doing so will add this spot as a fast travel point for later.
    • Continue the story by going northeast of Iluk, just before the forest, to the east is a hot spring.
    • Hot Springs requires a bar of soap to use; this one is for males only and has two movie scenes. Watch the two scenes by using two bars of soap.
    • Then head to the forest just NW of the hot springs.
  • Treasure: Silver Light (Red Chest)
Meryod Woods
  • Objective
    • Navigate through the forest until you reach the north exit to the world map.
    • Head to the village to the north.
  • Treasure: 2000 Silver x2, Fortune Ring (Red Chest)
Meryod

    • Once you exit the forest, go to the tower to the southeast.
  • Treasure: Silver Light (Red Chest)
Damon's Spire, Red Chests, Iluk and Iluk Field, Red Dragon Cave
Damon's Spire
  • Objective
    • Navigating through the spire requires you to step on the red glass switches to open the gate around.
      • This is easier than it looks at first glance. Simply step on as many red switches as possible to open as many doors as possible.
    • At the end of each floor, Damon will ask you a series of questions. Usually, your friends will answer them for you.
    • The last one requires picking the right choices to advance the story. Even if you pick the wrong one, the game will just force you to pick the right one before the story can go forward.
    • When you talk to Damon at the top of the tower, he will hand over the Thieves' Guide.
    • Leave the tower, you can use Jessica's Escape Litany to warp out.
    • Head to Reza and talk to the bartender. You will also get the Thieves' Crest. This will let you open all the red chests that were locked.
    • Head to their secret hideout in the back.
    • Talk to Lily three times, she's the girl in the room just before the hideout. Doing this step will get you a powerful accessory later.
    • Talk to the thief who took the White Dragon Staff. He will also give you a bar of Soap.
    • The hideout also sells new equipment.
    • Leave the hideout to view another event.
    • Head back inside the hideout and talk to the leader, and then the man with blue hair to get the blueprints.
  • Damon's Spire Treasures: Empty Chest x4, Star Light x4, Sage's Clothes (for Jessica), Spirit Bandana (for Nash), Ice Pendant

This section covers backtracking to earlier areas to unlock those red chests you may have noticed. Opening every one rewards you with valuable loot—and unlocks an achievement.
  • Red Chest 1 (Garbage Can Lid): Burg - Check the 2nd Floor of the Mayor's House (Ramus' Room).

  • Red Chest 2 (Wrath Ring): Weird Woods - Northeast of the area where you were rescued by Laike.

  • Red Chest 3 (Silver Light): Old Hag's House - Check the basement of the hag's house.

  • Red Chest 4 (Protection Ring): Saith - Check the house located in the southwest corner. It is located upstairs.

  • Red Chest 5 (2000 Silver): Meribia - head to the house south of Ramus' store.

  • Red Chest 6 (Silver Light): Meribia Sewers - Found by going through the sewer passage in Mel's Castle.

  • Red Chest 7 (Soap): Vane's Cave of Trial - Found on the second floor.

  • Red Chest 8 (Devil Ring): Vane - Northwest corner by the Althena Statue.

  • Red Chest 9 (Crystal Pendant): Nanza - Found in the basement area, in the very south corner of the map.

  • Red Chest 10 (Silver Light): Nanza Pass - This is found in the southeast pass on the route to Reza.

  • Red Chest 11 (Silver Light): Lann - Behind the first house you come across.

  • Red Chest 12 (Silver Light): Reza - West part of town.

  • Red Chest 13 (Fortune Ring): Meyrod Forest - Northwest part of the forest.

  • Red Chest 14 (Silver Light): Meyrod - Southwest corner of the map, located behind a house.

Crimson Collector - [L1] Open all red treasure chests
Iluk and Iluk Field
  • Objective
    • To proceed with the story, fast travel to Iluk. If this location is not on your list, it is the town just south of Reza.
    • Head to the large house at the north end to find an inventor. Talk to him and hand over the blueprints.
    • Go outside and find the stairs to go down. Talk to the man there and he will tell you can find Fluffy Bugs in the fields.
    • Head out through the north exit to Iluk Field.
    • Navigate through the fields. In the NW corner, you'll see a blue orb enemy that stays still and does not chase you. This is the enemy you want to fight.
    • Afterwards, return to Iluk. Heal up using the Althena Statue.
    • Head to the inventor's house, talking to him will bring you to the Red Dragon Cave.
  • Treasure (Field): Crystal Bracelet (for Nash), Healing Ring, Spook Hairpin (for Mia), 3000 Silver
Red Dragon Cave
  • Objective
    • In the Red Dragon Cave, many enemies are weak towards ice. Don't switch to fire attribute equipment until you leave the dungeon.
      • This is also a one-time-only dungeon, so make sure you pick up all the items here.
    • Navigate through the dungeon until you reach the end, and you will encounter a boss fight.
      • Part of the way through the dungeon, you'll get a free full heal for your party.
      • You'll get several HP and MP healing items from normal encounter drops. Be sure to use these as needed.
  • Treasure: Star Light x8, Barrier Ring, Rainbow Tiara (for Jessica), Angel Ring, Flame Sword, 2000 Silver, 10000 Silver, Dragon Shield (from story event, for Alex)
    • You get the Flame Sword by interacting with a lava spout near another chest.
  • Leave the dungeon and examine the balloon.
  • You will end up in Reza.
  • Approach Laike for an event.
  • Teleport to Meyrod. You can now cross the bridge northeast.
    • You can buy new weapons at the weapon shop in Meyrod.
  • On the world map, to the east is another hot spring, this one is for girls. However, the monsters here are extremely strong (they're as strong as enemies in the final dungeon), and you can get through the forest by constantly fleeing. It is recommended that you come here a little bit stronger. If you manage to get through, you can view two cutscenes if you have two bars of soap.
  • Head north until you find the village of Lyton.
Walkthrough: Lunar 2 - Eternal Blue

This classic RPG is rather straightforward by modern standards—progress hinges on talking to the right NPCs and heading to story destinations, though unlike contemporary games, it won’t hold your hand with objective markers (that’s where this guide will help).

The bosses in Eternal Blue are significantly tougher than those in its predecessor. If you're having trouble, grinding a few levels is a viable strategy, as boss fights in this game do not use level scaling. For trophy hunters, Lunar Eternal Blue is a little bit easier to obtain all the trophies, as there is only one missable trophy, which is collecting all the bromides. Unlike the original game, there is a larger time window to get them.
⚠️Be warned, this game lacks an auto-save feature.

**I will update this walkthrough after finishing the Lunar 1 walkthrough**

Oh, he will have it! I had read multiple sources saying he wouldn't, but I guess those were wrong. Thank you @WonkoTheSane87 for confirming that, I will update the guide and credit you for the find!

Alright, I can report that in the remaster Nash *will* still have the Bromide in his inventory if you don't remove it when he leaves and then rejoins you

Is it confirmed Nash will not have the Bromide when he returns to the party? I'm seeing conflicting information elsewhere...Guess I'll find out...can you believe I saved two seconds after he left the party?

MCD. This is guide for Bromide. You can try to get someone's save to trigger that achievement

To be fair, this is a bromides guide and not a full achievements guide, which is what the soaps would fall under. However, I was thinking about building this guide out into a 100% achievements guide anyway. Stay tuned!

Please add a note about buying soap

I missed that and now I have to play the first game all over again for full achievements.

Thank you

Guide updated! I have addressed the following:
- Confirmed bromide collection order in the guide follows the order you collect them in the game.
- You need to lend Ramus 30 silver before departing for Meribia.
- Removed PSX/Classic instructions for clarity, focusing solely on the Remastered version.
- Confirmed Bromide X was removed in the Remastered version.
- Added some images to make it a little more fun!
