Straight to the point walkthrough, based on the Sega CD games. Note: some things were changed from the Sega CD to the PS1 version. This guide is meant to help with basic info to remind you where to go next, or if there are armors or weapons you might have missed.

Lunar: Silver Star
1 Burg - White Dragon Cave

Grab Dagger and Heavy Clothes from the basement chest in Burg. Buy 3-4 Herbs. Grind outside Burg to level 4-6; fast kills and free spring healing.
Get the Old Ring from the Old Chest, it melts the Ice wall.
Exit south on the world map and follow the eastern cliff to the cave.
Inside the cave, pick up a Wood Shield and 2 Herbs. Ignore the left-branch treasure (story-locked).
Talk to the White Dragon to receive the Dragon Ring and Dragon Diamond.

2 Fixing the Bridge, Saith, Lighthouse

Go west from Burg to the woodcutter’s hut. Fetch the Woodcutter Axe in Weird Woods, good XP until Alex learns Flame. Return the axe to repair the bridge. Equip Ramus and cross to Saith.
In Saith, recruit Nash inside the guild house. Trade the Water Cane for the Sea Chart in the northwest hut. Climb the Lighthouse and relight it with Flint. Grab Leather Clothes for Ramus. Skip the Sling.

3 Meribia City and Sewers

In Meribia, buy Leather Gauntlet and Helmet for Alex, and Headband and Shield for Ramus. Great XP outside the city (Ambush mobs) to help Alex learn Flamer.
In the Sewers, use Alex’s Flame to damage enemies. Boss order: Water Dragon, then Dross hideout.

4 Cave of Trial, Vane

The cave only allows magic damage, spam Flamer and Flameria.
Pickups include Chain Mail and the Holy Flute.
Fight 4 Bronze Dogs, then Truffle Troubler. Stay distant and use fire.
Trial completion is ideal at level 14-16. A solid grind spot before leaving.

5 Nanza Barrier, Lann Island Cave

Don’t pay at the gate, Kyle opens it later.
In the Island Cave, recruit Jessica.
Pick up Chain Helmet and Wind Essence (escape item).
Boss Raptors focus on physical attacks. Have Jessica spam Calm Litany to heal.

6 Silver Spire and Crystal Tower (Vane)

To enter the Spire, have Mia use the Dragon Ring.
Fight through doors; collect Magic Robe and Vigor Peach.
Find the hidden door at the bottom of the Trial Cave, Mia can unlock it.
Bosses are 2 Vile Soldiers, use physical attacks and Fullstone.

7 Return to Burg, Talon Mine detour

Equip the Dragon’s Wings in the cave to teleport.
Outside Burg, fight 6 Vile Soldiers, use Dragon Bolt x3 to defeat them.

8 Nanza 2, Iluk, Reza

With Kyle, go back and open any red chests you skipped (e.g., Recovery Cane in Weird Woods).
In Iluk, buy the Scimitar for Alex and Crossbow for Nash.
In Reza, use Kyle to open the lobby chest and get the Thief Crest to access the guild.

9 Hot-Air Balloon Route

Re-buy the Rain Cloud from the guild (if stolen).
Give the Giant Root (dropped by desert man-eaters southeast of Iluk) to the inventor.
The balloon crashes automatically, walk to Meryod from there.

10 Red Dragon Volcano

Use the Rain Cloud immediately to harden the lava.
The path is linear but full of stairs, stick to the right-hand wall to avoid loops.
Key item: Red Dragon Shield. Alex learns Dragon Fire.
Grind here, Wasteoids give a lot of XP.

11 Lyton Puzzle, Blue Dragon Cave

Talk to the village magician as Alex with green eyes to lift the river curse. Rock-hop across to the waterfall.
Boss Brainiac: open with Dragon Fire, keep the party spread out, and heal with Jessica’s Rest Litany.

12 Myght Tower and Prairie

Drop through tower holes only if you can see a chest below.
Pickups include Insane Sword and Pixie Bow/Whip, great upgrades.
In Prairie Cave, use new weapons and defeat Grimzol to get the Goddess Seal.
Give the Seal to the healer in Pao to receive the Mirage Potion.

13 Dark Cave, Frontier

Pour the Mirage Potion into the dry spring between Meryod and Lyton to open the portal.
On the Frontier map, go west to Cadin and east to the Black Dragon Cave.
On the first visit, only collect Hero’s Crest and Dyne’s Sword, get armor later.

14 Talon Mine and Marke

In the mine, fight Wolf Commander, then Dragon Tank (weak to magic).
The elder in Marke gives access to the second Black Dragon section.
Slay the Black Dragon to get the Dragon Armor and learn Dragon Quake.
Grind cave mobs here, they give great XP before the boss.

15 Ruid and Grindery

Use the key to open Ruid. Climb Taben Tower and defeat the Knight Tanks.
Follow the tank tracks to the Grindery launch site near Talon Mine.
A barrier will block your entry, after a story event knocks you out, you’ll resume in Reza.

16 Goddess Tower (balloon crash)

Climb straight up. The only required chest contains the Goddess Cane for Mia.
Solo test: Alex fights 2 Dragon Angels. Spam Dragon Quake five times.
Claim Althena’s Sword to complete the full Dragonmaster set.
Stock up on 6-8 Silver Lights and Herbs of Althena from Ramus’s shop, they’re free.
Final grind spot is the overworld outside Meribia under eternal night, high XP mobs.

20 Ending

Approach Luna (Althena) while strumming Alex’s Ocarina every few steps. This nullifies the lightning damage so you can reach her. Enjoy the ending.

Lunar: Eternal Blue
1. Dragon Ruins to Hiro’s House

From the Ruins entrance, head south to Hiro’s house on the peninsula. Grab the Ancient Knife from the basement chest and talk to Gwyn for the Left Dragon Eye Jewel. Grind here to level 3-5, Sand Sharks give easy XP.

2. Blue Spire (Salyan Desert to Blue Spire)

Walk east across the bridge, then north along the coast into the mountains. In the first lab, press the southwest and northeast blue floor switches to open doors. Grab the Herb and 56 silver. On 2F, place the four floating orbs in the corner pedestals to form the central bridge. In the tower, fight Crystal Knights and Bandage Boys,take out the Mummy leader first. At the top, Lucia arrives and joins your party.

3. Zophar’s Curse

On the way back through the garden statues, Zophar appears, drains Lucia’s MP, and curses her. From here, Lucia can only defend, use herbs or Gwyn’s healing in battle.

4. Larpa to Cure Lucia

Sail to Larpa using Gwyn’s boat. Lose the first dice bet to reveal Ronfar, then win to recruit him. Enter Larpa’s Secret Pass, fight rats and Escargotgos, and emerge at the sanctuary’s back door. Use the goddess statue to cure Lucia.

5. Dalton to Rescue Lucia

Buy Ronfar a Mace and upgrade Hiro and Ronfar’s armor. The chest on 3F of the sanctuary holds an Angel Ring. Dock at Dalton, fight Destiny’s guards, and use the cell switch to free Lucia.

6. Illusion Woods to Recruit Jean

Bet with the woodsman (Ronfar wins fixed dice) to get the glyph spell. Enter the secret tree entrance and fight through goblins and Hummingbyrds. Clear the vines from the clearing by talking to the northeast NPC, then defeat Plantella with Poe Sword, Calm Litany, and Butterfly Dance. Earn 1500 XP.

7. Takkar to Ghost Manor (Magic Trial)

In Takkar, refuse the guild offer and head east to the haunted mansion.

Section 1: Use Wind spells on Hooded Imps, then normal attacks.
Section 2: Use Herbal Breeze (sleep) on Susie Deaths, then Poe Sword.
Section 3: Use Butterfly Dance on Knuckle Dusters, then normal attacks.
Boss: use Calm Litany to clear status effects, then attack with Poe Sword and Needle Step.

8. Bandit Butte to Phantom Sentry

North of Takkar, fight Phantom Sentry at the summit. Use Poe Sword, Needle Step, and Flame or Ice Pick to stay safe.

9. Nota to Carnival to Mystic Ruins

In East and West Nota, shops are restocked. Use the Magic Arrow from Giban to bypass Leo blocking the bridge. At the Carnival, save before the dice game, get costumes, and crash at Mystic Ruins.

Mystic Ruins Puzzle:

1F: Break seal, see flashback, exit west for a chest with a Herb. Use statue as needed.
4F: Mirrors warp—follow this sequence: right, left, right, right, left, northeast, right, under bridge to 2F. Exit to East Nota (bridge is now open).

10. Zulan to Snow Cave to Missing Link

Northwest of West Nota, push two snowballs into the gaps (left then right) to progress. During the avalanche cutscene, Lucia rescues you. Fight Missing Link by negating its ice shield with Fire spells, then use Poe Sword, Calm Litany, and Needle Step.

11. Meribia to Taben’s Peak to Recruit Nall

In Meribia, talk to Lunn to learn of bandits at Taben’s Peak. At Taben’s Peak, fight Tormentors and leeches. Defeat Nall’s kid bodyguards and free Ruby. This is a major XP spot
!!!-- Ice Mongrels occasionally give 32,000 XP --!!!

12. Meribian Sewers to Children in Peril

Below Ramus’s shop, follow the path: west, north, east, south, west, west to reach the assassins. Fight five Assassins (they attack twice and drain HP) Exit to Lunn’s dojo. Nall gives you the White Dragon Wings.

13. Vane to Borgan’s Coup

Enter the Cave of Trials (no monsters, two bosses), then head to the Magic Guild. Talk to Borgan and rescue Miria. Skip the boss fight and recruit Lemina. Collect all unlocked chests.

14. Azado Tower to Corpse Crusher

Southeast of Vane, go through Azado sanctuary. On 7F, use the statue (1000 silver) if needed.
Boss: First fight Corpse Crusher (clear vines, avoid Pulsinator), then Hermit Crusher with Hiro and Leo solo.

15. Pentagulia to Rescue Friends

Arrive as guests, then split up across four towers. Clear each tower: Assassins, Flash Lords, and Flyboys can overwhelm. Rescue Ronfar in the Red Tower, Lemina in Black, and Jean in Blue. Leo (as “Mystere”) joins to open the shrine door. Free Lucia and chase the fake Althena.

16. Goddess Tower to Fake Althena

Follow her upstairs and fight. First, take down Fake Althena’s cane (Lethal Rod), then her body. Use Poe Sword, Rest Litany, Blue Dragon Chop, and Magic Shield.

17. Nall’s True Form to Dragon Auras

Back at Taben’s Peak, agree to retrieve the four Auras for Althena’s seal.

White Aura: 1-on-1 vs Leo (easy with Poe Sword).
In White Dragon Cave, open four white chests in each quadrant:
NW - Platinum Armor
NE - Platinum Helm
SE - Angel Ring
SW - Transport maze to Dragon Angel Crest
Defeat White Fiend (uses Coma Blast, silences).

18. Horam to Zen Zone to Blue Aura

Southeast from White Dragon Cave, in Horam get Jean’s Karate invitation.
Tournament: Three waves, Ninjas, Wolf Guards, Mercs.
Final duel: Jean vs Lunn solo. Stock Dover Nuts, equip Heal Ring, and cast Dopple Dance to counter Chameleon.

19. Blue Dragon Cave to Blue Aura

Southeast of Horam along the river. Find Earth Crux treasure in mirror rooms. Defeat Blue!

20. Red Dragon Cavern to Red Aura

South of Blue Dragon Cave. Use Rain Cloud on lava to solve magma gate.
Pickups Seed of Vigor, Holy Shield, and Sage Clothes.
Fight Red Fiend (uses Gatling Flame, spread out) at level 36+.

21. Black Dragon Shrine to Black Aura

West of Talon Mine exit in the town of Marke. Use Hero’s Crest at the entrance.
Inside, avoid earth elementals and equip anti-magic items.
Boss: Black Dragon (HP 5600) use Dragon Tear, Sybillium, Thunder Thrust, and Flameria.

22. Serak Palace to Althena’s Tears to Red Aura (Alternate)

In Serak Palace (next to Raculi), fight waves of Firebirds, Haduken. No healing between rounds.

23. Return for Final Grind and Zophar’s Keep

Revisit towns to upgrade gear.
When ready, head to Zophar’s Palace. Enemies include Gorgonka, Laser Boys, and Phantom Guards. Stock up on Dover Nuts, Silver Lights, and aim for level 45+.

Solve button and pad puzzles and collect Storm Shield, Immortal Robe, King’s Mail, and Magic Rod. Touch the colored orbs in tubes for transport.

Final Boss: Zophar’s Tower, defeat four orbs, then the core. Use Althena’s Light, Poe Sword, Hades Wager, and cascade Litany as needed. Enjoy the ending!
