Introduction

The Flayed Man is a horror point-and-click adventure game featuring 18 Steam achievements.

Story

A Stolen Apple
You judged August.


That Devilish Drink
You judged Edgar.


Those Blue Eyes
You judged Belle.

To Dust You Return
You got the good ending.


I Want Life
You were greedy and wanted life. Your demand is granted. Forever.



The game features three endings which depend on the judgements of August, Edgar, and Belle. To unlock the 'To Dust You Return' and 'I Want Life' endings, forgive all three sinners and select the following dialogue options at the end of the game:

• Yes, I understand. ⇢ To Dust You Return
  
• No, I want life. ⇢ I Want Life

Your Suffering Will Have No End
You got the bad ending.



To unlock the bad ending, don't forgive at least one of the three sinners and complete the game.

Missable

Creator's Choice
You forgave everybody except Edgar. That's okay, we did the same.



Complete the game with the following judgements:

1. Forgive August.
   
2. Condemn Edgar.
   
3. Forgive Belle.

How'd You Like Them Apples?
You could accept animal and child murder, but stealing an apple is unforgivable.



Complete the game with the following judgements:

1. Condemn August.
   
2. Forgive Edgar.
   
3. Forgive Belle.

Dig Your Own Grave
You condemned everybody. Including yourself.



Complete the game with the following judgements:

1. Condemn August.
   
2. Condemn Edgar.
   
3. Condemn Belle.

What's That Rock?
You identified what the rock was. How did you do that?



After talking to the demon, right-click four times on the obsidian in the garden.



To Hang On A Tree
You tried to use the noose on yourself.



Pick up the noose from the shelf upstairs, then try to use it on yourself.



Nice Try
You tried to stab the demon.



Use the glass shard from the mirror on the demon in the garden.



Turn The Page
You read all of the green journal.



After judging August, pick up the green book from the shelf upstairs. Open the green book in your inventory, then click in the lower right corner to turn the page:





James Would Be Proud
You really wanted to put your hand in the disgusting toilet.



After judging August, interact with the toilet in the bathroom three times.



Slowcoach
It took you three or more attempts to reach the garden in time.



After judging August, use the plug chain from the sink on the curtain in the bathroom. Pull the chain to raise the curtain, then wait until the curtain closes again. Repeat this two times:

Back To Basics
You covered the basics of the The Flayed Man.



Click on the Flayed Man in the main menu (on the left).



I'll Figure It Out On My Own
You chose to play without the hint system.


A Guiding Light
You chose to play with the hint system turned on.



After starting a new game, either enable or disable the hint system.

100% Walkthrough

• Enter the garden and talk to the demon.
  
• Right-click four times on the obsidian, then pick it up.
  
  
• Back inside the house, go upstairs.
  
• Pick up the red book and the noose from the shelf.
  
• Try to use the noose on yourself.
  
• Enter the bathroom, then pick up the bucket and the mop from the floor.
  
• Use the empty bucket on the bathtub to fill it with water.
  
• Interact with the mirror to get a glass shard, then pick up the plug chain from the sink.
  
  
• Open the red book in your inventory (drop-down menu bar at the top of the screen).
  
• Break the bindings to get the cat o'nine tails:
  
  
  • Use the noose to break the first binding.
    
  • Use the bucket with water to break the second binding.
    
  • Use the obsidian to break the third binding.
  
  
• Back in the garden, use the glass shard on the demon.
  
• Combine the glass shard with the cat o'nine tails.
  
• Give the single knotted cat to the demon.

✘︎ Save 1

• Approach the confessional door.
  
• Forgive August.
  
  
• Head upstairs and pick up the green book from the shelf.
  
• Open the green book in your inventory, then click in the lower right corner to turn the page.
  
• Enter the bathroom and interact with the toilet five times.
  
• Use the plug chain on the curtain.
  
• Raise the curtain, then wait until the curtain closes again. Repeat this two times.
  
  
• Raise the curtain one last time, then run to the garden and interact with the sundial.
  
• Back in the house, take a closer look at the sun clock upstairs.
  
• Interact with the clock hands and turn them to 9:30 o'clock.

✘︎ Save 2

• Downstairs, approach the confessional door.
  
• Forgive Edgar.
  
  
• Back in the garden, open your inventory and:
  
  
  • Combine the obsidian with the bucket to get scrap metal.
    
  • Combine the scrap metal with the knotted bindings to get scrap with bindings.
    
  • Combine the scrap with bindings with the mop handle to get the makeshift shovel.
  
  
• Inspect the grave, then use the makeshift shovel on the soil.

✘︎ Save 3

• Approach the confessional door.
  
• Forgive Belle, then enter the garden.

Select 'Yes, I understand.'



Load 3 and select 'No, I want life.'



Load 2 and complete the game with the following judgements:

• Condemn Edgar.
  
• Forgive Belle.

Load 1 and complete the game with the following judgements:

• Condemn August.

Here are hints for the three new achievements, if you're stuck

Back To Basics -- On the title Screen, click the Flayed Man for "Instructions" how to play the game

To Hang On A Tree -- When you get the "Noose", first try using the item on the Flayed Man. This will unlock the achievement *Missable*

Turn The Page -- When you pick up the "Green Book", open the book and then click the bottom right corner of the page. The page corner should glow when you click it *Missable*
