County of Mennaine

The County of Mennaine is the sovereign government of the Mennainer Archipelago, a series of small islands to the north of the city of Tripoli. Established by Simon "the Bastard" of Hauteville in 1160, the Norman house has ruled the isles continuously since the 12th century. Since the 14th, however, the authority of the norman capital of Castellu dallas Rosas has been totally degraded, as the great cities of the south are largely autonomous in the Signioria.
