Understanding the Tiers in the Bestiary

Trying to max out the Bestiary rewards without cycling through each stage a hundred times?

Easy to understand

For each Area, there are 50 Stages. This does not go for the Void stages as they do not count towards the Bestiary. Trying to complete the Bestiary though is beneficial for not only the materials and achievement, but also for stats.


You can easily farm this stuff with 30 Str and 30 Wis, and the skills Ghost Blade and Dancing Dagger.


Just leaving them on level 1 is sufficient for Area 1, but bump Ghost Blade to level 2 for Area 2.

So, now how to read where to get each Tier of enemy. You can see here on the Squirrel from Area 1:


The Squirrel is found in Stages 1 and 2.


The problem I had starting out was how the Tiers were broken down. Here is the Tiers for the Squirrel.


Now, each Tier is broken into 10 Stages.

Tier 1 = Stages 1-10
Tier 2 = Stages 11-20
Tier 3 = Stages 21-30
Tier 4 = Stages 31-40
Tier 5 = Stages 41-50

To find each enemy in each Stage and Tier, using the Squirrel as the example, use the stage location for each tier as if it didn't have a tens place. So it can be found in the following Stages:
1, 2, 11, 12, 21, 22, 31, 32, 41, 42.

Looking at the Snail from the same Area.


It is located in Stage 3 only. So, it can be found in stages 3, 13, 23, 33, and 43.

It's worth noting that I made this before I had even done the first ascension and before I knew about the stage lock. I was actively using what I was describing in the guide while writing it. Once done, I had almost 300 tier 1 points and decided to ascend, and I felt like a complete fool when the very first thing you unlock is the stage lock.

Even though the process described is moot in the end, it still helps people understand how it works.

The best way to farm them is to lock in stage 1-3-6-7-9-10 for each tier cutting in half the grind

The best is using bestiary lock after ascending you get it and it will lock you in a stage till you obtain all medals here

So I was right in not using the stage lock and grinding the same stage over and over, it's best to let it run the whole thing, since these creatures appear throughout some of the stages 1-50 anyway.
