Steam Account Recovery

This is a step-by-step guide to recover a lost or stolen Steam account.

You don't need access to the email adress, phone number or password currently tied to the lost or stolen Steam account for this to work. The recovery process allows you to contact Steam Support to provide proof of ownership.

Step 1

You must be logged out of all other Steam accounts to start the recovery process.

Step 2

Enter your account name (login name) into the search bar to search for your account.

The account name can not be changed and is not to be confused with the profile name (display name).

Step 3

Click "I no longer have access to my Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator".

Click "I no longer have access to this phone number".

Click "I no longer have access to this email adress".

Step 4

Fill in all the relevant information including your current email adress. You can also attach files to send proof of ownership.

Click on "Send" and wait for a reply from Steam Support.
