Hardcore Getfixedboi Legendary

I genuinely believe anybody can do it if they can muster the willpower to get past the early parts of the run. The first ten hours of the run are grueling, annoying, frustrating because of how awful the seed can be, but if you can make it past that, you WILL win. You won't be dying to bosses, you'll be dying to just random stuff. Me and my friend completed the seed in hardcore after 107 attempts. It took us 25 1/2 hours, and we would reset whenever either of us died. It may take you far less or far more attempts, but if you can persevere you will make it.
Preperation
The first thing I think you should do is at least play the seed in non-hardcore legendary at least once, so you get a feel for how the seed works, especially if you are unfamiliar with high difficulty run. The inclusion of getfixedboi w/ master mode makes the game legendary. Normally, master mode contact damage from enemies (when you directly collide with an enemy itself and not a projectile) is 3x damage from classic, but in legendary mode its 5X. This means that a lot of enemies can genuinely two shot you, and some can even one shot. Also, you will be able to see the 3 major hurdles in this run:
1) The early game: Getting 400 life is painful.
2) Mechdusa: preparing for them in hardmode is painful.
3) Golem: This guy, which is normally a pushover, is now painful.
Day 1
The first day of the seed, you spawn with many NPCs, including two very important ones: The Princess and the Party Girl. These two NPCs can determine how painful the start of this run will be. The Princess can sell a Slime Staff, giving you a way to kill enemies through walls without endangering yourself. The Party Girl can sell Pigronatas, which when opened, have a chance to drop Party Bullets, allowing you to start with an early arms dealer, without having to dig to the very top of the world for Crimson/Corruption hearts. The problem is, this all costs a LOT of money, and the NPCs die at the start of the night, so you only have a couple minutes to gather as much money as possible. Here is the best strategy.
1) Start a LARGE world. This gives you more land away from the NPCs, who when you are near 2 or more, heavily reduce spawnrates of enemies.
2) Walk to all the way to the left/right and hit all the trees with your axe. Don't bother cutting it down, the trees and pots can spawn bombs, giving you wood for when you walk back.
3) You're ideally looking for a mimic. Just walk back and forth until you find one. If you do find one, great! Lead them back to the NPCs and let them kill them. If you get 10 or more gold, buy the slime staff. If you have money leftover buy some Pigronatas from the Party Girl. They can sometimes drop money, so you can keep doing this until you run out. You're looking for party bullets. If you didn't get enough gold, still buy Pigronatas. Sometimes a Gold slime might spawn as well, which drop even more gold. If you didn't find a mimic before the NPCs died, you can either continue on with the run or restart. I would personally suggest restarting only because I hate this seed so much, but you're free to approach it however you want.
Once you've made some houses and you're (hopefully) geared up, starting roping up. The crispy honey blocks really slow your progress, and is one of the many reasons why this seed sucks. Try and dig a path with the least resistance rather than a straight line. Once you leave the rainbow mushroom biome, you're finally in a "real" biome. The best biome is snow, followed by jungle, then a tie between forest and desert. Traveling is very dangerous, as most enemies can really hurt you. You have two options, each with their own pros and cons.

Option 1: Tunneling
Pros: Safe!! (#1 most important concept in the entire run)
Cons: Boring, slow, staying in one place lets enemies build up, meaning you'll have to keep tunneling and the inevitable digger.
Option 2: Running out in the open
Pros: Fast, entertaining, gets you out of the run if it really sucks, going fast means less time for the enemies to build up.
Cons: VERY dangerous. getfixedboi has a LOT more traps, and at some point you (or a mob) is going to trigger one.
I would suggest tunneling. Your #1 goal is to not die, not save time.

If you have a snow start, I would suggest basing there. Creating some houses. The snow biome is really good because no diggers can spawn, so it's very safe. Speaking of diggers, if they spawn, I would suggest leaving the game. If you think that's cheating (you're wrong if you think that) then feel free to try and fight them. You're going to see LOTS of them. Also Queen Bee will spawn a lot, completely randomly sometimes. If the merchant is in the snow biome, he'll sell marshmallows, which are a great early game food source. If you're low on gold, cook them over a fire to be more efficient, but I always just ate them as is. Also, ice loot is pretty decent. The flinx staff is a turbo-cracked summon and can completely carry the early game. I would suggest finding the ice biome as soon as you can.

If you have a jungle start, I would always just tunnel through. The only enemy that can hurt you are the viney guys, but if you're not a moron you can avoid them pretty consistently. Finding a boom stick, fiberglass fishing pole, or staff of regrowth is very valueable.

Desert start is very risky and imo not worth it but the loot is phenomenal if you're willing to take that risk.
Forest start doesn't have anything going for it, but it's not desert.

Your only goal right now is 400 life crystals, setting up pylons, gold/platinum armor, and getting enough bait to go FISHING!
FISHING AND POTIONS!! YAY!!
Here is the honest truth of this world. You're going to fish. A lot. At some point, you're going to need a resource that you haven't found, and it's 10x safer to fish for it then find it. Every journey is a risk of you dying and starting another 10 hour run. Better to fish.
Your best buds are going to be NPCs. If you place 3 NPCs, enemy spawns are almost completely disabled, which means whatever biome you are in you can fish/farm in peace. Make sure that all of your pylons have at least 3 NPCs. This means that NPCs that are normally worthless (painter, stylist, golfer, etc) are now 10x more valueable. Go to your jungle pylon and set up a massive series of tunnels so you can break the plants and catch the grubbies for bait. The one good thing about this seed is since crispy honey blocks are abundant, fishing potions are a bit easier to craft. You'll want crate and fishing potions. Then, with your bait, you're hoping for the following things:
Fish in the jungle for the best pole you can get so far (Fiberglass) and the Staff of Regrowth
All of the bottles that you don't have, the goal is a bundle of balloons.
A bast statue and conch shell from the desert.
Once you have the conch shell, use it to go up to the surface, and then build yourself a little hut with walls. Then, start tunneling up into the sky and build a sky lake. Look up an infinite water glitch to save yourself some time. Don't touch the top of the sky and die instantly and lose a 7 hour run! You're going to want a horseshoe and balloons.
Bundle of Balloons is by far the best accessory in the game, hands down. As soon as we got it, we didn't unequip it for the rest of the run.
With your staff of regrowth, set up a farm, because you're going to need potions. Featherfall is actually really good, but I don't blame you if you're not used to it. Summoning potion is great. Dangersense and Spelunker are almost required. The damage potions are a little overrated but you should get them anyways. The defense ones, like swiftness, endurance, ironskin, and regen, are very good. Lifeforce potions in hardmode is so cracked its insane. Heartreach is pretty good. Don't sleep on potions, they'll save you.
General Pre-Hardmode Tips
  • Gravedigger's Shovel is awesome. Just kill your NPCs.
  • Unless you have a Dangersense, always assume its a trapped chest. We have seen some pretty evil trapped chests, even with thorough inspection.
  • Take things slow and ALWAYS be ready to recall. Recall potion is faster than magic mirror, and that can make a difference. If a boss is about to kill you, it's better to recall and fight another day.
  • Spelunker + Staff of Regrowth means setting up that potion farm is 10x easier.
  • Bug Net should always be on you.
  • Magilluminessence is great.
  • The shimmer will be to the far left/right. You're going to want this for the permanent upgrades.
Statues
Statues are lowkey one of the most busted things in this game. There are so many statues that just save you so much pain and suffering. Here is a list of statues to look out for:

  • Shark Statue. Great for Hunter Potions and the Megashark, which you will probably make.
  • Heart Statue. This is a no brainer.
  • Drippler/Blood Zombie statue. This can be an early Shark Tooth Necklace, which is the best pre-hardmode damage accessory.
  • Star Statue. This can be good if you prefer any of the mage weapons. Mage kinda sucks except for the Crystal Serpant.
  • Imp Statue. This really helps with WoF and farming for the black rose, which is painful.
  • Queen Statue. There is ONE specific thing you can do with this that can be pretty helpful.
Additionally, always be looking at statues anyways, as some statues can be hooked to a trap, spawning a hardmode enemy that phases through walls and ends an 8 hour run (looking at you Pigron statue). Seriously, statues can end runs completely randomly, so just break them all and keep the good ones.
You can activate statues without the mechanic by utilizing the traps. If you see a dart trap, you can place a statue where the dart trap was and use the pressure plate to the enemies. You could also get the actuator blocks from boulder traps, shimmer them, get some wire, and craft a timer as well.
The Secret Skip
Who should the first boss you fight be? King Slime for the Mount? EoC for the Shield? Nope! Queen Bee!
"Queen Bee? I'm not good enough to fight her first, she'll kill me!"
You don't need skill to kill her. All you need is the Flintlock Pistol, a track, and a dream.
Create a long track in hell that spans the length of the starting island. Then, create a bed in the middle of the track. Summon the Bee from one of the many, many, Queen Bee spawners around the world, and recall. She'll follow you to the track, and all you have to do is shoot down the track in a straight line, and once you reach the end, just wait there until the Queen Bee is almost next to you, and just recall and go the other way.

By killling her early, you get some very powerful weapons that let you melt the remaining bosses. Farm her a couple times for some more beenades and the honey comb so you can have TWO stinger necklaces equipped. Double stinger + A Bee's Knee and a Hive Pack is all you need against the rest of the bosses besides WoF.
Arenas
You're going to need some Arenas, and honestly they should be pretty good. The last thing that should happen to you is getting caught in a cranny and dieing to a boss. Additionally, you want to make (almost) ALL of your Arenas in pre-hardmode. That's right, even your Plantera Arena. Here are some arena making tips:
  • Make some houses for some NPCs to live in to disable many of the enemy spawns
  • Get some dynamite to speed up the process. Careful, don't end two 16 hour runs out of carelessness!
  • Cover the bottom of the arena in lava (infinite lava glitch). This can reduce enemy spawns in the fight. You probably have terraspark boots by now. Lava is your friend.
  • Try and build your arena around a trap so you can place a heart statue for the fight. Place your campfire, bast statue, heart lantern, and sunflowers.

You'll need the following arenas:
  • One arena for EoW/BoC
  • One arena for both Queen Bee and Plantera. This one should have some love and care in it.
  • One all purpose, massive arena. This guy should be really big for Mechdusa.
  • An arena at the dungeon for Skeletron and Cultist. Make sure it has a ceiling, because stars instakill!
  • One arena in the Sky. Genuinely might need it to fight Wyverns lol
You don't need to fight Duke, Empress, etc. Just fight the bosses that are necessary for progression.
Additionally, make sure you have a life fruit farm ready for when you enter hardmode. The Jungle is the #1 most dangerous place to be in hardmode, so your life fruit farm should have it's own 3 NPCs.

If you're planning on any other farms make them now, not later.
The Goblin
What should you reforge? Menacing to kill bosses faster? Quick to outrun bosses?
Warding. It's always warding. It's an absolute no brainer, I promise, don't take it from me, take it from this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdNATCHC-4M

Damage does NOT matter. At all. This seed does not have time limits, you can fight EoC all day. As long as you don't die, the boss will die at some point.
WoF
Alright, if you're done everything you can to prepare for hardmode, it's time to enter it. WoF is awful, especially with the imps. Every couple seconds he'll spawn an imp that'll spawn very close to you. If you walk into it, you'll take that 5x contact damage. If you're full warding, it'll still hurt (but the lasers will literally do almost 1 damage lol). So some YouTubers say to just farm the imp statue 100x times to cover your WoF bridge with banners. You could do that. You could also just be mindful and not walk into them every ten seconds. If you just throw all your beenades, unequip the hive pack and start hellwing bow-ing you'll melt WoF, it's not that bad. Just make sure you have a big bridge. Just don't lose a 20 hour run to recalling mid fight!

Here is the loadout we used:
(All warding) Bundle of Balloons
Shield of Cthulhu
Terraspark
Stinger Necklace
The Honey Stinger Necklace
Hivepack/Frog Legs

Hardmode
Alright, here's what you're going to do.
Fish.
If you break an altar, there will be a chance of the pirate invasion, which sounds like a nightmare.
Instead, you can just fish for a couple hours and get all the titanium you need that way.
Titanium Repeater is AWESOME.
Get some spider fangs for the spider staff.
Make your Lifeforce potions.
Wings are lowkey overrated but I know everybody loves them, so go get some.
The thing about weapons, is that most weapons are very dangerous to get, and not that much better anyways. This is true for the rest of the run. Sure you can go and farm for the giga-best weapon, or get something good enough and not take any risk.
If you REALLY want to, you can get the Daedalus Stormbow. If you want to be overtly cautious you can use a Queen Statue to summon your Dryad, and allow her to damage the Mimic without ever waking it up, but it'll take forever. Honestly though, all you need is a Titanium Repeater.
Mechdusa
You'll want to kill Destroyer first, then the Twins, the Prime. Titanium Repeater + Jester Arrows will melt through the Destroyer. Stars are not abundant on this seed, unless...
If you summon King Slime, many of his minions will be slimes with stars in them. You can farm king slime for stars. You'll need about 600 Jester Arrows for the Destroyer. Then you can switch to Hellfire Arrows (I think you can buy them).
Mechdusa can sometimes corner you, so you can make a teleporter that teleports to the other side of the arena. Just be careful of Mechdusa despawning, she loves to do that.
If things go awry, you can recall to live to fight another day. If you killed any of the bosses, they'll drop a bag, even if you didn't kill all 3.
Plantera
We used a pulse bow , but only after we were done farming for Life Fruits. You can sleep in a bed so more fruits will spawn. We used Chlorophyte Ranged Armor but honestly Hallowed might work too. Use whatever weapon suits you and you're comfortable with.

Plantera can be pretty tough, so I also reccomend teleporters at the sides of the arena, when she enters second phase she can be really scary.
Golem
Golem is a pain travelling through that temple, the lights turning off, and his endless barrage of damage. Here was our awesome gameplan for Golem.

  • First thing, find where the outside of the temple is that's next to the golem room.
  • Make a large arena right underneath that part of the temple.
  • Get "Illuminated Coating" sold from the painter in a graveyard, and cover the walls of the arena in it. Now you can see midfight.
  • Cover the bottom of the arena in honey. You can get honey bombs by getting wet bombs from lava crates, crafting them into dry bombs, then honey bombs, and buy a bunch from the Demolitionist. I mean cover it, about 2 1/2 Golem's worth of height.
  • Create a bed next to the golem room, hoik into the temple, summon Golem, recall, drop down to the arena, and let Golem sink into the honey.
  • Used a megashark and chlorophyte bullet on the sunken Golem. The honey is thick enough that Golem can't get out, and the fight went from nightmare to a breeze.

Now, you can make the most OP armor in the game - Defensive Beetle Armor. You are practically immortal with this armor if you aren't stupid.
Pre-Cultist
Before you fight Cultist, I would recommend doing the following.

  • Getting Master Ninja Gear
  • Setting up Moon Lord Arena

Master Ninja Gear + Brain of Confusion + Beetle Armor makes you so strong. It's so impossible to die. Dungeon isn't that scary with recall potions.

Moon Lord can be confusing. Basically, when he does his giant mega death ray, he also summons 7(?) bouncy boulders that hurt as well. So here's what you wanna do:
  • Create a big arena, probably can just reuse the all-purpose one, and make sure it doesn't have walls (because moon lord hides behind them). Then, create a teleporter going to another, smaller, mini "arena". Here will be the nurse (if you want, don't have to), a bed, and a large area above the room for moon lord to have his fun with his boulders.
Basically, you'll fight moon lord, and right when his laser beam is about to end, you recall back to this other room, let him release his load of boulders, and use the teleporter to go back to the arena. A lot of videos make a third arena for when he does his third phase with all the eye goober friends, but honestly with Master Ninja Gear + Brain + Beetle it's a really easy fight, so we didn't do the third arena. Timing this in multiplayer can be a pain, so I recommend being extra communicative with your friend during this fight if you're doing multiplayer.
Cultist and Pillars
Cultist is really, really easy as long as you don't screw up and hit the wrong one. If you screw up that dragon is really, really tanky and hard to kill. If you screw up again there's too much going on the screen with the squid monster. But I'm sure you've played long enough to to figure out the real one (it's the one with the different eyes). The real problem with Cultist though is he's pretty tanky, Megashark won't cut it. I think most weapons are too risky to get at this stage, so we just used the Possessed Hatchet from Golem, which was actually really good.

For the pillars, take it slow, go in and out, safety is #1 concern. We did Stardust -> Vortex -> Nebula -> Solar.
Stardust Dragon Staff is helpful. For the stardust pillar, just drag out some of the cell ones, kill it but not the baby ones, let the babies regrow into big ones, and repeat.
Vortex was annoying but taking it slow is the name of the game. Vortex Blaster + Chlorophyte is all you'll need, even with Beetle Armor.
Nebula is useless. Take it slow.
Solar is overrated. Take it slow and don't fly.
Moon Lord
I already went over this.
It's honestly an easy fight with Beetle Armor. It's also my least favourite fight in the game.
Freedom!
It's over! You finally have your awesome gamer clout.
I might have missed some stuff that helped that we did in our playthrough, but this is more or less exactly how we did it.
Once you get over that 400 life crystal hill, the rest of the run isn't that bad, just very grindy.
