Introduction
BloodRayne 2[en.wikipedia.org] is an action hack and slash video game developed by Terminal Reality originally released in 2004 for PlayStation 2, Xbox and Microsoft Windows. This remastered version titled BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut was released in 2020, and this achievement guide will be covering that version of the game.

Please note that names, descriptions, or requirements may be different for BloodRayne 2: ReVamped—the version that released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in 2021.

This guide was inspired by ThuNder's 100% Achievement Guide for BloodRayne. I used that guide to 100% that game, and found it incredibly useful in deducing which achievements were missable and which werent. However, there is no such equivalent guide for BloodRayne 2 on the Steam community as of yet. Hopefully, this guide can fill that niche!

Story Achievements
The following achievements are obtained automatically as you play through the game's story. Nothing more has to be done to obtain these achievements other than to play through the game as you normally would. Please note that while I have spoiler marked certain text, pictures and other content spoiling the nature of bosses does lie ahead, so look with caution!

Going Batty
Going Batty: Kill Zerenski

Act 1 - Zerenski's Mansion
Level - Zerenski

Strategy - Using Aura Vision with (or your equivalent button input) will make this much easier as all objects you can climb will be highlighted in yellow. Additionally, the mission objective marker will show you where he is. Once you reach Zerenski, hit him once with your blades and he will turn into three bats and fly away. Use to target the bats and shoot them with your gun using . Rinse and repeat!

Go for the Heart
Go for the Heart: Kill Slezz

Act 4 - The Sewers
Level - Slezz

Strategy - You cannot attack this boss directly. Instead, Slezz will pick up the suicide bomber enemies and throw them at you. You'll need to wait until they get close, then grab them out of midair using your Harpoon () and throw them back at her stomach. Before throwing any at her, be warned that you must pull the lever next to you (shown in a cinematic before the fight) in order to fill the arena with water. Otherwise, her arms will be blocking her stomach. After a certain amount of time, the lever will reset so be sure to keep a constant eye on it. Once her stomach has opened, jump down and pull out her heart using your Harpoon.

Amateur Electrician
Amateur Electrician: Destroy the Shroud Tower

Act 6 - Shroud Tower
Level - Ferrill

Strategy - The goal here is not to go for the boss. You must first run around destroying the multiple electrical panels that are powering the main Shroud pumps. Using Aura Vision with makes this much simpler as all of them will be marked. There are 16 electrical panels to break in total, all the while Ferrill will be chasing and smacking you (and she is faster than you). The best strategy here is to load up on Health and Rage, run for the pumps, turn on Blood Rage and beat on the machines. Once you've disabled one full level (i.e. the 3 electrical panels on that platform), jump off the edge down to the lowest level and refill your Health (and more importantly Rage) before Ferrill makes it down to you. Rinse and repeat until all pumps have been disabled and you'll immediately win the fight.

Zen Garden
Zen Garden: Kill Ephemera

Act 6 - Twisted Park
Level - Ephemera

Strategy - You cannot attack this boss directly—yet. Before you can do any damage to her, you must destroy all shadow portals in the arena. If you do not, she will get stuck at half health no matter what you do, and teleport away to fully recharge her HP. There are 6 shadow portals in total, shown in the pre-boss fight cutscene, which you can find easily using Aura Vision (). Four of them are just large standing rocks that you can break with your blades. One is under a gazebo whose support beams can be broken to bring it down. The last one is surrounded by a few rocks and above it is a thin river-like stream of water that is being blocked by a downed statue. Harpoon the blockage away and the water will destroy the portal for you. Once all 6 portals are down, hack and slash until she is dead. This made her no longer invulnerable, but she is still quite strong so be weary! She has a couple of attacks that can almost kill you in one hit: One is a tornado/spinning kick and the other is a large cross-blade slash, so try and avoid them at all costs.

Armed and Dangerous
Armed and Dangerous: Acquire all guns

Act 8 - Twisted Park
Level - Xerx's Laboratories

Automatically obtained after receiving all 6 gun modes throughout the story.

Tightrope
Tightrope: Kill Unraveller

Act 8 - Twisted Park
Level - Unraveller

Strategy - You can attack this boss directly using your guns (+), however there is technically an easier way that the game never tells you about or highlights in Aura Vision. Attached to the roof of the area are 4 pods that you will need to Harpoon () down to defeat the boss. To reach them, use the various rails around the room. All 4 of them can be difficult to find, and even more frustrating to reach. If you're having trouble locating them, view the helpful video guide below. Credit and thanks to ixxiion for the video!

Full Blooded Vampire
Full Blooded Vampire: Acquire all powers

Act 8 - Twisted Park
Level - Unraveller

Automatically obtained after receiving all powers throughout the story.

Combat Specialist
Combat Specialist: Acquire all Special Moves

Act 8 - Twisted Park
Level - Media Room

Automatically obtained after receiving all Special Moves throughout the story.

Pound of Flesh
Pound of Flesh: Kill Xerx

Act 8 - Twisted Park
Level - Rooftop

Strategy - As always, this boss is a puzzle rather than a true fight. There are 4 glowing pink nodes in his Super Pink Suit. To destroy these, you must first attack them until they turn a greyish-green color. The easiest way to do this is using the Blood Hammer rockets on your Carpathian Dragons (guns). You can cycle through gun firing modes by pressing . Once they change color, use your Harpoon () to pull them out. Do note that for the upper ones, you will have to position yourself higher by going up onto the platforms.

(Final Boss Achievement) Patricide
Patricide: Kill Kagan

Act 8 - Twisted Park
Level - Throne Room

Strategy - This one is actually a straight up boss fight! The only thing to keep in mind is the very large pool of blood in the center of the room. It heals the boss, but also heals you, giving you unlimited Rage and ammunition. Your best bet is trying to position yourself where you are right inside the edge of the pool while fighting him, thereby blocking him from being able to get in the pool himself. This way, you can prevent him from healing while using your Blood Fury to finish him off.
'CARNAGE'
CARNAGE: Get 50 carnage kills in a single playthrough

Carnage kills are killing enemies with the environment, in deathtraps, while platforming, and so on. Basically anything but typical blade, kicking, or gun attacks. Throwing enemies off of balconies, impaling them on sharp objects like a Rhino's horn, electrifying them and blowing them up with explosives, or slicing enemies with your blades while grinding on your rails are all examples of ways to get Carnage kills.

If you utilize the game's combat systems in any way besides simple button mashing, you should easily receive this achievement automatically during your playthrough. Using the Harpoon () is an easy way to get Carnage Kills. The video below shows an example of this. Credit and thanks to themadmanmarz for the video!

After a total of 50 Carnage kills, you'll obtain this achievement.

'Deathtraps'
Deathtraps: Use all deathtrap types in a single playthrough

Deathtraps are things in the environment or backdrop that can be used by Rayne to kill enemies. Most of them are required by the story, but there are a few that are simply prompted and not required. As long as you follow the prompts that appear, you should not miss any method/trap. Each type only needs to be used at least once, so if you tossed enemies onto spikes at some point, you won't need to use every single spike you see throughout the game.

Once you've used every type, you'll obtain this achievement.

Here is a list of deathtraps and their first found location or puzzle:
  • Impale on a Rhino Horn (Act 1, Zerenski's Mansion). Prompted on-screen.
  • Using guns while platforming (Act 1, Zerenski's Mansion). Prompted on-screen.
  • Using blades while rail-grinding (Act 1, Zerenski's Mansion). Prompted on-screen.
  • Fireplace (Act 1, Zerenski's Mansion). Story-related and unmissable.
  • Large fan (Act 2, Meatpacking District). Story-related and unmissable.
  • Meatgrinder (Act 2, Meatpacking District). Story-related and unmissable (crusher truck).
  • Electricity (Act 3, Union Station). Story-related and unmissable (electrical breakers).
  • Explosions (found all throughout the game). Use propane tanks, or other flammable objects.
  • Impaling (found all throughout the game). Use spikes or broken poles.
  • Throwing enemies from buildings/platforms (found all throughout the game).
'Executioner'
Executioner: Use all feeding fatalities in a single playthrough

While the description for this achievement implies that you must use all fatalities at least once, this achievement is either glitched or mislabeled. Many have reported that doing each fatality once did not get them the achievement, and they instead got it at some point during their playtrhough while using a feeding fatality. Therefore I believe that the actual requirement is to use a specific number of feeding frenzies. It is unclear if this in total, or per feeding frenzy. Cycle through all of these over and over, and you should eventually receive this achievement. Please report any issues in the comment section below.

I have listed all possible combinations below, using PlayStation button inputs. If you're having trouble matching these to your specific controller, please use this image gallery[imgur.com]. The inputs should be in the same location. If you're still having trouble, or are using mouse and keyboard, a more detailed and specific list for your control type can be found in the 'Move List' section of the pause menu. A ☩ symbol denotes that this fatality requires you to have obtained the Carpathian Dragon guns in Act 1.

FROM IN FRONT OF ENEMY:
  • : Devil's Handshake
  • : Sterling Blow
  • : Laughing Jackal
  • : Archer's Bliss
  • : Cracked Sparrow
  • : Silver Eel ☩
  • : Athena Shiver ☩

FROM BEHIND ENEMY:
  • : Strangled Flame
  • : Lament Reversal
  • : Crane's Reply
  • : Rabbit's Lash
  • : Comet's Twinge
  • : Weeping Cobra ☩
  • : Lover's Grip ☩

Note: Fatalities marked with the ☩ symbol will be unlocked once you acquire the Carpathian Dragon guns in Act 1, Zerenski's Mansion. Furthermore, Crane's Reply gives the most Blood Rage of any fatality.
'Nowhere you can hide'
Nowhere you can hide: Bathe in the blood of 15 vampire lairs in a single playthrough

What are Vampire Lairs and how do you find them?
Vampire Lairs are hidden rooms that can only be found when using Aura Vision (), of which there are 18 scattered throughout the game. Inside the lair is a massive blood pool with a podium in the center. Standing in the podium will refill Rayne's Health, Rage, and all gun ammunition. You can only use these Lairs once each; once you leave one, the door disappears.

When in Aura Vision, they will look like the image to the right. There is zero indication of it being there otherwise.

Known Glitch + Workaround
According to many sources online, Vampire Lair #16 (listed above) in Act 8 Kagan's Tower: Media Center is glitched for some reason. You should already have 15 by this point, but if for some reason you missed one, I would skip #16 and do either #17 or #18.

Alternatively, Steam user angmarets has found a workaround that they have detailed in the guide listed below. While I have not tried this method myself, the comment section suggests that this workaround still works as of February 2025.
