How to copy controls from base game to experimental.

Transfer your controls from base game to experimental version.

Information compatible with 1.2.1 / 1.3.0 version.

Note:

Make sure to run both games at least once.
For this guide i refer to default location for config files under:

C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\ArmaReforger\profile\.save

Transferring files:

1. Navigate to:
   
   

   Documents\My Games\ArmaReforger\profile\.save

   
   you should have two directories here:
   
   
   • app1874880_user(string of numbers)
   • app1890860_user(string of numbers)*
   
   * for each user (string of numbers) will be different.
   ** steam uses AppId[steamdb.info] in order to represent products on their store. The first directory refers to base game, while the second one to experimental.

2. Go to app1874880_user directory, then continue to settings, and from there copy InputUserSettings or InputUserSettings.conf (depending on your file browser settings).
   
   

   TIP: If you want to transfer other settings such as graphics, you may copy all three files.

3. Now let's go to the same directory, but for app1890860_user:
   
   Return to .save folder and proceed to app1890860_user directory. Go to settings, then paste and override files that you copied earlier.

4. Fin. If the process finishes correctly, you're ready to go :)
