RENFE 597 series (TER)

After the good results experienced, since the beginning of the 50‘s by the 9500 series, better known as TAF (Tren Automotor Fiat), RENFE was looking for a model that could replace them in both fast and express services throughout the country
In total, 60 units were built between 1964 and 1966. Being destined to fast services and considered at the time as luxury trains, these connected main Spanish cities, they were even used in international connections, like the the Lisbon Express, which ran between Madrid and the Portuguese capital.
With the advance of electrification, the TERs were relegated to regional services on lines that had not yet been electrified, and were included in the newly created UN de Regionales in 1989. Shortly afterwards, in the mid-1990s, they began to be withdrawn from service, most of them being scrapped or sold to South America.
This mod adds the diesel units of the 9700 series, then 597 series, to the game with five decorations. The models include their own sounds and animations, as well as asset versions for decorations.
