Important information, Read before proceeding!
Please follow this guide exactly, it is the only way to run the game locally! At the same time this way you can play with friends in multiplayer mode.

I've spent a lot of time testing different ways to run the game. So please don't forget to rate the tutorial :)
Preparation of the environment
For proper functioning I recommend to have the last current version of macOS, at the time of writing this tutorial it is "".

You will need CrossOver to run the game, unfortunately you cannot run the game in Whiskey.

You can download it here: CrossOver[www.codeweavers.com]

The app is paid, at the time of this writing it costs $64 without discount and offers a trial period of 14 days. The app can be used for multiple applications, I personally recommend it.

Software in CrossOver
Once we have CrossOver installed we need to do the following, download Ubisoft connect.
Why?
The game Steep is developed by Ubisoft, which requires their app to run their games.

Once we have the app installed, log in with your Ubisoft account (if you don't have one, create one).

Now you need to download Steam.

Don't download the app in a separate bottle, Steam and Ubisoft wouldn't be able to communicate with each other. Instead of installing directly via CrossOver, click in Ubisoft connect. Steam will download and you can simply log in as you would on any other platform.

Launching the game
In order for the game to launch, both Steam and the Ubisoft app need to be turned off first. In the CrossOver section "advanced settings" -> "Graphics" it is important to select the "D3DMetal" option.

Now you need to do a "Simulated Restart", the apps will restart in the background and update the way they run.

Now you need to start Steam and also Ubisoft connect, no matter the order. Once you're up and running, go to Steam and download the game.
Congratulations! Once downloaded, you can run and play the game :)
The best game settings.
This part is still under development. It will be completed in the coming days.
