Best Career Path to Choose in GTA V Enhanced Edition

If you're playing GTA V Enhanced, the intro is different compared to the Legacy version. In Legacy, you're just Lamar’s friend arriving in Los Santos. But in the Enhanced version, you’ll start with the Criminal Career Path option.

⚠️ Important: You can only choose your career path once. Picking the wrong one can affect your progress. So I made this guide to help you choose the best option.

Best Career Path to Choose: Nightclub Owner

GTA V Enhanced already includes the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack DLC:

This DLC gives you free properties that you can claim in-game using your phone right after you start.

Included Properties:
- Maze Bank West Executive Office
- Paleto Forest Gunrunning Bunker
- Senora Desert Counterfeit Cash Factory
- Great Chaparral Biker Clubhouse
- 1561 San Vitas Street Apartment
- 1337 Exceptionalists Way 10 Car Garage

Since all the properties above are already included for free in the Starter Pack, choosing any path that gives those properties again is a waste.

That’s why Nightclub Owner is the best option — because:

It’s not included in the Starter Pack.

You get a Nightclub, upgrades, and the Terrorbyte.

These are very useful, and you won’t need to spend your starting money on things you already get for free.


Choose Nightclub Owner as your Criminal Career Path.

Once you spawn in the game, use your phone to claim all free properties from the Criminal Starter Pack.

- CEO Office
- Biker Clubhouse
- Bunker

Enjoy the bonus of also having a Nightclub and Terrorbyte, which you wouldn’t get for free otherwise.

Personal Experience

I made this guide because I picked the wrong path (Bikers).

At first, I thought the MC Club was a good idea because it gives you the MC menu early.
But I didn’t realize that all of that is already included in the Starter Pack.

So I basically wasted money on something I could have gotten for free.
It feels like a trap by Rockstar.

That’s why I strongly recommend picking something you don’t already get — like the Nightclub and Terrorbyte.

Update – April 2025

Rockstar has apparently delisted the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack (and GTA V Legacy).


A friend told me, and I also saw people posting about it on forums.
It seems the DLC isn’t working properly anymore.

⚠️ Until we get official news from Rockstar, I recommend waiting before choosing your career path, just in case the DLC is no longer available.

I’ll update this guide again if I hear more about the issue.

R* Already fix this issue. My friend who just start play confirmed this already fixed. Now you can see Criminal Starter Pack already included when you open the phone browser.
