How to Mod BG3 with the Toolkit

A guide on how to use the Toolkit to create mods.

Step One

Go to your Steam Library and search for Baldur's Gate 3 Toolkit under the TOOLS section.

Step Two

Go to the Store Page for the Baldur's Gate 3 game and download the free DLC Baldur's Gate 3 Toolkit Data.

Step Three

Don't do it. The Toolkit is like modding on Honor mode. Even the scrollbars turn on you and become impromptu enemies. Just clicking on things too fast will crash it and make you lose hours of progress, causing 1d10 Psychic damage to the user. There is no documentation, Withers has the whole tutorial in his notes but he simply says "No." when asked to explain things. Your icons are .DDS images that need to be blessed by Bhaal himself after being approved by the full Murder Tribunal to work. Just don't do it, it's not worth the effort.

Step Four

Uninstall the DLC and the Toolkit.

Step Five

You are now free of the curse. All there is left to do is to come to terms with the trauma you experienced.
