HTMS Thonburi (Thai Coastal Defense Ship)

描述
I was kinda surprised to find that there aren't many models of this ship made for NavalArt yet, as it's a very unique and easy-to-build vessel. As such, I decided to give it a try myself. This is my first Workshop mod, so please feel free to give feedback :)

The flagship of the Royal Thai Navy during the Franco-Thai War(1940-1941). Built by the Kawasaki Shipbuilding Corporation, this ship is armed with two familiar-looking 203mm twin turrets, the same kind of which is found on certain Japanese heavy cruisers. Despite its heavy armament, it is rather small at 77 metres long; essentially the size of a small destroyer. Nonetheless, the Thonburi was the pride of the navy and were, alongside its sister ship Sri Ayutthaya, considered to be "battleships" in local terminology. The Thonburi was heavily damaged by the Lamotte-Piquet, a French light cruiser, during the battle of Ko Chang, and was beached subsequently afterward. While it was refloated and continued to serve until 1959, it would henceforth be unable to sail under her own power.

The Thonburi-class ships are coastal defense ships, but they are unique among them for being some of the smallest ships of this already small ship classification. Despite this, they are heavily-armed and well-armoured, making them a deadly adversary especially when facing off against the more second-rate navies of the region.
