Inspired by the cuisine of BDO, these recipes are adapted for real-life cooking. Each dish retains the spirit of the game while using accessible ingredients and traditional cooking methods.

Basic Components
Before preparing complex dishes, prepare the staple ingredients often mentioned in the game:
Homemade Flour:
Grind wheat, barley, or oats in a coffee grinder until it becomes flour. Sift through a sieve.

Dough:
Mix 2 cups of flour, 1 tsp of salt, and ¾ cup of water. Knead until elastic.

Cheese:
Heat 1 liter of milk to 35°C, add ¼ tsp of rennet. Let it sit for 12 hours, then strain through cheesecloth.

Pickles:
Marinate vegetables (cucumbers, cabbage) in brine (1 liter of water, 50 g of salt, spices) for 3–5 days.

Beginner Recipes
1. Fried Sausages
Ingredients:
  • 500 g ground pork
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Preparation:
Mix the ground pork, onion, pepper, and salt.
Shape into 10 cm sausages.
Fry in a pan until golden brown.

Serving: Serve with mustard and sauerkraut.



2. Grain Soup
Ingredients:
  • 100 g barley
  • 50 g wheat
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • Salt to taste

Preparation:

Soak the grains overnight.
Cook in broth for 40 minutes.
Add vinegar and salt.
Effect: A light and nutritious lunch.


3. Honey Cookies
Ingredients:
  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g honey
  • 1 egg

Preparation:

Melt honey and butter, mix with the egg.
Add flour and knead the dough.
Bake for 15 minutes at 180°C.
Tip: Decorate with nuts or candied fruit.


Recipes for Experienced Cooks
1. Serendian Stewed Shrimp
Ingredients:
  • 400 g shrimp
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 50 ml white wine
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Preparation:

Sauté garlic and pepper in oil.
Add shrimp and pour in the wine.
Simmer for 10 minutes under a lid.
Serving: Serve with basmati rice and lemon.



2. Knight’s Lunch
Ingredients:
  • 300 g beef
  • 2 slices of ham
  • 100 g cheese
  • 1 bun
  • Greens for garnish

Preparation:

Roast the beef in the oven at 200°C.
Assemble the sandwich: bun + ham + cheese + beef.
Serve with fries.
Effect: A hearty dish for an energetic day.


3. Stone Wasteland Wind Lunch
Inspired by a game recipe that can’t be cooked in BDO but adapted for reality:
Ingredients:
  • 200 g couscous
  • 100 g cured meat
  • 50 g dates
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Pinch of saffron

Preparation:

Steam couscous with boiling water.
Fry the meat with cumin and saffron.
Mix with dates and couscous.
Tip: Serve in clay pots.


Drinks from BDO
1. Barley Beer
Ingredients:
  • 1 kg barley malt
  • 5 liters water
  • 20 g hops
  • 10 g yeast

Preparation:

Mix malt with water and boil for 1 hour.
Add hops, then strain.
Cool to 25°C, add yeast.
Ferment for 2 weeks in a dark place.


2. Fruit Wine
Ingredients:
  • 2 kg grapes (or apples)
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 5 liters water

Preparation:

Crush the fruit, mix with sugar and water.
Let it ferment under cheesecloth for 7 days.
Strain and bottle.


Tips for Adapting Game Recipes
Ingredient Substitutions:
  • Replace “royal whale meat” with beef or venison.
  • Substitute “seafood” with squid or mussels.

Dish Effects:
