Cathammer: 40,000 - Part.7 - Factions and Units of the Cat Empire

"Imperium Felinum in Perpetuum."

Not only the I and II Generation of Kittens

The Cat Imerium is an organ with many tails and branches. It is a collection of enormous Cat Will, Strength, Determination, Faith, Cunning, Heart and Reason. In addition to the mighty Catstartes and Adeptus Pawplicia (about whom also) – the semi-divine Kittens of the Allcat, the III Generation, which also worships its Cat Creator, has found its place, and here it is:

Notable Factions and Units

• Cat Foot Soliders – Regular army of the Cat Empire, supporting the Catstartes' campaigns. They report directly to the Meow Fleet.
• Cat Administratum – Manage the day-to-day affairs of the Cat Empire.
• Holy Orders of Meowkat – Fanatical warrior priestesses who lead sieges and fight heresy with fire.
• Cat Meow Fleet – Ships and fighters for intergalactic warfare.

1. Cat Inquisition
• Goal: Detect, hunt down, and eliminate heretics, traitors, and influences of the Cat Chaos.
• Description: The Cat Inquisition is the most powerful political organization in the Cat Imperium. Inquisitors are fanatically devoted Cats to the Allcat, often operating outside the law to protect the Cat Empire from internal and external threats.
• Division into Ordos:
◦ Ordo Meow: Deals with heresy and cults of the Feline Chaos.
◦ Ordo Furialis: Hunts down Xenos, or alien races (Dogs, Birds, Pigs, Reptiles, Rabbits, and Rats).
◦ Ordo Felis Mechanicus: Protects and researches the technologies of the Feline Empire.

2. Adeptus Felinicus
• Goal: Technological support for the Cat Empire and maintenance of the sacred machines.
• Description: Felinicus Technopriests are Cats obsessed with researching and repairing ancient technologies. Their creations are under the constant scrutiny of the Ordo Felis Mechanicus.
• Machines:
◦ Cat Titans: Giant robots in the shape of cats, capable of destroying entire cities.
◦ Holy Miautomats: Walking machines armed with lasers and energy claws.

3. Adeptus Miaucanicus
• Purpose: Healing and improving the fighting abilities of the Cats of the Imperium.
• Description: Medics, bio-mechanics, and geneticists who install augmentations and implants that allow the Felines to reach their peak abilities. It is thanks to them that the Catstartes are so powerful.
• Known Implants:
◦ Dark Claws: Titanium blades that replace natural claws.
◦ Purring Pumps: Synthetic hearts that always pump blood.

4. Adeptus Pawplicia (Meow Guard)
• Goal: Defend the Golden Throne of Litterium on Furris Prime, where the Great Meow Guard rests, and also watch over other temples of the Allcat.
• Description: The first generation of Kittens into whom the Allcat breathed life. Apolitical, despising fanaticism, almost immortal, unwavering, elite guards of the Golden Throne, who are constantly vigilant. Even Catstartes seem to pale in their glow, they are taller, more imposing, and each of them emanates a Golden Aura. Dressed in pure Litterium, they wield Meowstron Halberds, holy weapons capable of cutting through any material. They believe that the The Great Meowmer, despite his lethargy, is aware of their sacrifice, and that he will one day return as the holy words - Arcus Luminum Felinonica III.
• Units:
◦ Golden Furs: The most prestigious guard unit and the elite of the elites of the Cat Imperium.
◦ Meowing Heart: Warrior priests, defending the temples and the Allcat itself in eternal guard.

5. Holy Orders of Meowkat
• Goal: Asceticism and fighting heresy.
• Description: An order of fanatical female warrior priestesses who are as deadly as the loyal Catstartes. They are armed with claw blasters, laser purrbolts, and an arsenal of melee weapons.
• Known Orders:
◦ Meowing Salvation: Feline warrior sisters who lead sieges.
◦ Cat Rays: Specialize in the fiery Purrification of heretics.

6. Cat Meow Fleet (Imperial Armada)
• Purpose: Defend the space frontiers of the Cat IMperium.
• Description: Massive gunships, freighters, transports, and cruisers patrol the galaxy and wage interstellar war. Their forces have also been incorporated into the regular Cat Infantry, consisting of billions of Cat Soldiers from across the Cat Empire — the Cat Foot Soliders.
• Units Types:
◦ Meow Colossi: Motherships capable of carrying thousands of Catstartes and other forces.
◦ Claw Hunters: Small, fast space fighters.
◦ Purra Puss: A powerful tank named after Purrapuss, the Purrmarch of the Lion Catstartes.

7. Cat Astra Telepathica
• Purpose: Detect and train Cats with psionic talents.
• Description: Psionics who serve as liaisons between the Cat Empire's forces and protect its space from the influence of the Cat Chaos.
• Special Abilities:
◦ Blinding Meow: Emits psionic waves that burn minds.
◦ Holy Falius' Purr: Soothes other Cats and increases their morale.

8. Cat Administratum
• Goal: Managing the planetary bureaucracy of the Cat Imperium.
• Description: Millions of Cat officials working in large Cat cities - the bureaucratic machine of the Cat Empire.
• Main task:
◦ Managing the logistics and resources of the Cat Empire as well as civil affairs, matters of ordinary citizens and the statehood of a every Cat World.

9. Temple of the Great Purr
• Goal: Spreading the faith in the Allcat in the Divine Purr and its Greatness.
• Description: The Priests of the Allcat, called Meowctors, take care of the sacred rituals and remind the Cats of the galaxy of their duty to the Divine Purr by purring his word, his teachings, in a way that is most in line with the original dogmas of the faith in the All Purr. Their service is exclusively sacral, they are not militarily connected to the Cat Empire apart from an exceptionally close bond with the Adeptus Pawplicia. At the same time, being skeptical of the Cat Inquisition, its brutal dogmas and the fanaticism of the Holy Orders of Meowkat or Catstartes.
• Known Rituals:
◦ "Summoning Purr" - A purring exorcism, a ritual that focuses the Faith and Will of the Meowctors to eliminate the seeds of Cat Chaos.

Each of these forces, whether military, spiritual, technological or political, is an indispensable pillar of the Cat Imperium. Without them, the Divine Work of the Allcats could not continue.
But will such a mighty machine remain eternal, as the Cat Chaos festers in secret and Xenos preys on every weakness of the Cat Race? Time will tell, and...
