Newbie Warning [!!!]
This guide contains a below info could have a lot of SPOILERS, if your game passthrough still in progress. Be careful when familiarizing yourself, in order to avoid spoiling the first experience from the storyline.
Description of appearance
The character has white hair and blue eyes. The main garment is a white dress with a special pattern around the hem. This sign belongs to the Ancients, it is a reference to the first part of the game: Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights. The dress is tied with a black bow. The head and part of the dress are covered with a black, dilapidated mantle, with a red underside and bronze rivets. There is a blue amulet hidden behind the mantle. The character wears black boots.
History and Purposes
Traveling Priestess arrived in Land of Fumes from another country. Her object of interest is Blight, which is also a problem in her homeland.
Based on the dialogue with her, the Traveling Priestess is a descendant of an Ancient People.

Her main task is to study Blight in this part of the game and find the reasons that caused the Rain of Death and the release of Blight from the depths of the Ancient Lands.

Being a minor character, her task is performed directly outside the scenes of the main character's presence.
Behavior
Traveling Priestess is calm, thoughtful and calculating throughout the game. Does not respond to emotional outbursts.

The attitude towards Lilac is obviously friendly. She sees a connection with the main character based on their common origin, as she believes that Lilac is also a descendant of an Ancient People and her land was also affected by the Blight.

Her concern for Lilac is shown in Act 3 and Act 4, where the Traveling Priestess committed a lie for good, telling Lilac that she would not be able to purify Lilia without finding another way out. However, in fact, having the power of the White Priestess, theoretically she possessed this ability, but physically she exhausted the magical power. Given that the Traveling Priestess sees Lilac as her equal in power, she could have passed on knowledge about the purification process. But watching how much affection Lilac had for Lilia, she knew that under the influence of emotions, she would rush to save her and lost her mind from the high concentration of Blight. By these actions, the priestess saves the situation from the risk of irreparable tragedy and delays the time until they can restore the amulet.

Before the crossroads of the two finals, Traveling Priestess supports Lilac in any of her choices, praying for her success.
Potential of her power
Based on the dialogues, Traveling Priestess can purify Blighted Souls, which relates to the mechanics of the first part.
Unlike Ender Magnolia, purified souls find eternal peace if they are not attached to the descendants of an Ancient People. In Ender Magnolia, Lilac does not purify, but attune infected homunculi, bringing them to life after exposure to Blight, while the homunculi remain alive.

However, Lilia is a human, not a homunculus. The configuration mechanism does not apply to infected people. For these reasons, Traveling Priestess saves Lilac twice from rash acts, the first of which was in the scene when Lilac desperately tries to touch Lilia, who was soaked in Blight. At the moment, Lilac doesn't know about such a skill as purifying people. Throughout the game, she only encounters homunculus settings, and thanks to the knowledge of the Traveling Priestess, she will learn a new ability.

In addition to purification, only the Traveling Priestess can remove the barriers of the Ancient People or the White Priestesses who set them up to delimit dangerous zones. Lilac, unlike her, has neither the knowledge nor the ability to interact with barriers. Presumably, the Traveling Priestess can both take them off and set them up, given that she inherits all the abilities of the White Priestesses.

Finally, the invaluable knowledge and experience gained during her stay at Blighted lands allowed Traveling Priestess to be able to recognize "sisters" by their origin and magical power, avoid places of thick Blight, or be able to quickly recover from its effects without any bad consequences.
Act 1: The first meeting

Traveling Priestess located in Sorcerer's Academy. The passage to the room goes through the basement of the academy, below the descent on the left side. Against the background of the room there is a long corridor with an intermediate superstructure-a mezzanine, extending beyond our vision. The left side of the corridor is covered by a pedestal with a statue of a knight in a red robe. Next to the character is a covered table on which there are many candles, candlesticks and a flask with flowers that are similar to those planted in a stone planter and on the frontground.

Traveling Priestess: Hmm... Yes...

Lilac: Um... It's not safe here.

Traveling Priestess: ...... (turning around)
Is something the matter? I've been in deep thought... The Blight plaguing this nation. I've been looking into it... I believe I may have a connection to it... The Blighted Fumes... They began to emanate from the depths... from the Land of Origin... when the Rain of Death came. I hear there is a device... the Pillar of Purification... that can cleanse the Blight in the Land of Origin...
But it appears not to be working...

Lilac: (thinking) The Pillar of Purification...

Traveling Priestess: Now... to look into the Frosts...

Lilac: There are Mutants eveeywhere... You need to get to safety.

Traveling Priestess: Don't worry... I'll leave soon...

Lilac: (to herself) I hope she knows what she's doing...

[Repeatable phrase]
Traveling Priestess: (thinking) Now... to look into the Frosts...

Act 2: Knowledge Sharing
After the first dialogue Traveling Priestess appears in the village of the Scarlet Forest. The character will be standing next to a lily flower that has already been cleared of Blight.

Traveling Priestess: I'd heard there were survivors in this nation... Of the Ancient people... It appears the rumors were true... You're descended from them, too, aren't you? The priestesses of the Ancients... It's rather obvious, just looking at you...

Lilac: Huh...?

Traveling Priestess: Where I'm from... and this Land of Fumes... Ther were both once ruled by the Ancient people. The priestesses are their legacy. The Blight, too, has existed since the time of the Ancients. The embodiment of the people's hatred...

Lilac: (thinking) The Blight comes from... people? Are you.... a priestess?

Traveling Priestess: A descendent of theirs... in a manner. Not unlike you... The Ancient people dwelled in the depths... In a place that is said to be sacred... I've been wanting to see it for myself... Even if there's nothing left of it...

[Repeatable phrase]
Traveling Priestess: The Ancient people dwelled in the depths... In a place that is said to be sacred... I've been wanting to see it for myself... Even if there's nothing left of it...

Act 3: In the depths of the Land of Origin
After the second dialogue Traveling Priestess goes to Land of Origin, continuing research of surroundings and the Blight. Upon reaching the territory hidden behind a water tunnel soaked in thick Blight, we see how Traveling Priestess resting on a bench.

Traveling Priestess: ...! (waking up) Nnh... I was... taking a brief rest.

Lilac: Here...?

Traveling Priestess: How are you feeling? The Blight... It's quite taxing down here...

Lilac: A little numb and unpleasant... But it's nothing I can't handle.

Traveling Priestess: Be careful... You may have a resistance to Blight... but don't become like me...

Lilac: Are you... okay?

Traveling Priestess: I'm fine... That aside... I happened upon an unusual magic barrier. I believe it may have been put in place by a priestess of the Ancients... I took the liberty of dispelling it... And now... I'm going to rest a little longer...

Lilac: Are you really sure you're okay...?

Traveling Priestess: ... (sitting up)

After Lilia was founded.

Traveling Priestess: Don't touch her... The Blight...

Lilac: (in despair) Isn't there anything you can do?

Traveling Priestess: Even if the Blight is purified... I don't know if it will save her...

Lilac: (anguishing) No...

Traveling Priestess: But if we do purify it... It would ease her suffering...

Lilac: (thinking) Purifying the Blight...

Traveling Priestess: I wish I could do it... Purify the Blight... As I am now... I have no strength... My voice wouldn't reach... All I can do is impart the knoweledge of the priestesses... I'm sorry...

Lilac: If there's even the smallest chance... If we can save Lilia from her suffering... I'll do whatever it takes.

Traveling Priestess: Then I will return to the surface... And think of what we could do...

Lilac: (nod)

Act 4: In searching of Purify
Next, the character will remain at a fixed point and will accompany you there until the end of the game.
It's in the Middle Stratum behind the main square of the city, near the second purified lily.

Traveling Priestess is a key character in getting the ending B, as thanks to her you will be able to clear the Lilia. To do this, you need to restore Aegis Curio.

Two components are needed to restore it: Blighted Pupil and Stele of the Land of Origin.
By bringing one of two components individually, she will notice about your find, but will give a comment that it is necessary to continue the search.

[Blighted Pupil in inventory]

Traveling Priestess: That Blighted Pupil you have... Perhaps it could take a place of an amulet for purifying the Blight... The Fumes have eaten away at it... The Blight in this nation... I need to learn more.

The same with Stele of the Land of Origin.

As soon as the two components are in the inventory, the following dialog opens.

Lilac: (showing the components)

Traveling Priestess: ...! That Blighted Pupil and that stele... With these I could... Let me see those...

...Later...

Traveling Priestess: This is an amulet. When you perfom a purification... it will reduce the Blight's burden on you body... I once use it to myself... I was able to restore it using the Blighted Pupil... (giving Aegis Curio to Lilac)

Lilac: I can purify the Blight?

Traveling Priestess: Like me, you share a deep connection with the priestesses... If you can reach her heart, I am certain you will be able to.

Lilac: Reach her heart... Like tuning...

Traveling Priestess: In truth... Lilia could be purified when we first found her... But if I had shown you how you would have wanted to try... And lost your mind to the Blight... And so... I wanted to find another way... I'm sorry... I lied to you.

Lilac: It's okay... Thank you. I mean it.

Traveling Priestess: Be careful.

Act 5: ''Will you embrace your role?''
You can go back into the City of Middle Stratum where Traveling Priestess stayed and you'll get the last scene with her.

Traveling Priestess: Were you able speak with Lilia..?

Lilac: Yeah... thanks to you. (in despair) But... she's bound to the Land of Origin. She can't leave...

Traveling Priestess: That she was still alive... It's quite miraculous... I'm sorry... There's nothing I can do...

Lilac: What will you do now?

Traveling Priestess: ...... I'll watch over you. Watch what you do next.... Will you embrace your role? (smiling)

Lilac: (nod)

[Repeatable phrase]
Traveling Priestess: I shall pray for you to succeed...

Who is hiding under the mantle...
Having collected a lot of "clues" to solve the mysterious character, all the answers converge to one.
Traveling Priestess = Lily - the main character of the first part of the game.

All the facts supporting the theory
  • The main clothes correspond to the clothes of the White Priestesses, and Lily's clothes
A white dress with a pattern at the hem and a black bow

  • The mantle covering his head belongs to Umbral Knight, the main companion of the Ender Lilies game world
The hood hides some details of the hairstyle, as well as the affected areas of the hair, the Blight appendages, as well as boots that hide the exposed legs.

  • Identical appearance
    White hair, blue eyes.

  • Hidden amulet behind the clothes
Aegis Curio is also involved in both parts. Considering that this is the most unique treasure of the Ancient People, it exists only in one copy, which only one person has.

  • A character from another country
Lily's Homeland is Land of the End.

  • Irrefutable proof of involvement with the White Priestesses and the Ancient People
As well as the ability to remove the barriers of the ancient people and other abilities

  • Traveling Priestess said that she had previously used an amulet (Aegis Curio)
It's about the scene of Purifying the Blighted Lord.

  • And other little things referring to Lily
    The music "Lily ♫" at the first meeting of the character;
    White and red lily flowers.

Although the story is silent about Lily's fate, I'm sure she'll be fine. Of course, I wonder if there will be new sequels to this franchise, but if so, I would really like to see the main characters again. I think that soon, as the stories of the other 4 states will show us, the descendants of the ancient people will unite together and jointly solve the mystery of Blight...

You know, I wonder if all her sprites have the same reddish hue over the eyes too. It was nice seeing Lily again in Magnolia, especially hearing the hints towards the true ending having really happened as well. Kind of sad to hear about her deterioration though. I wonder how many of the blighted souls are still with her, protecting her. There must be quite a few aiding her through everything.
