How to change the difficulty at any time in Yakuza 5

This guide will show you how to change your game's difficulty at any time you want, more specifically your save files difficulty.

Because the first 3 steps are the same, and the last step only works in Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 4. In this guide I will show you how to do it in Yakuza 5.

Steps

1. Make a back up just in case.
   
   
2. You will need a Hex editing program, like HxD20 [mh-nexus.de]
   
   
3. After installing the program find your games save files. They are at
   C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(your steam ID)\1105500\remote
   
   
   
4. Now right click on your preferred save file and click Open with, then choose the Hex editing program you have installed earlier. If it's not showing up, click "Choose another app" and then "Choose an app on your PC".
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
5. When you open it, change the two highlighted numbers to the difficulty you want.
   
   
   • 00 00 - Easy
     
   • 01 01 - Normal
     
   • 02 02 - Hard
     
   • 03 03 - Legend
     
     

Final

That's it. Save the changes, open up the game, boot your save file and your difficulty will be changed. I would recommend using this in Platinum Adventure, but it might work either way.
