How to start the game
Before you start playing the game
This work was created using Unreal Engine 5, which processes very high-quality shadows and light, and depending on the quality settings and resolution settings, the game may become slow.
If you feel that the title screen is already slow, we would appreciate it if you could change the quality settings in OPTION>GRAPHIC accordingly.
*There have been reports of FPS dropping, especially when playing at 4K resolution. If it's running slowly, we recommend switching to full screen or windowed mode and changing the resolution accordingly.
*Slow processing can also be caused by in-game voice chat being choppy, so try lowering the quality and resolution to see if that helps.
*Currently, we have confirmed that it works at the "minimum:" system requirements standard by setting the resolution to the lowest (1280x720) in low settings and full screen mode.
We plan to improve the quality settings in this area in future updates.

The host (room creator) should have a high-spec PC.
Due to the specifications of this game, only the host will be heavily loaded due to communication and other processes.
If you are enjoying a multiplayer game with your friends, we recommend that you have a player with a high-spec PC host the game so that each of you can enjoy the game comfortably.

Creating and searching for rooms
To create a room or search for a room, start the game and press PLAY.
If you are playing with friends, use the “Private” setting and room ID. If you are playing with strangers, use the search function. (If you are playing with a stranger, you can use the language field to determine the region you are in.)

About Voice Chat
Wearing a microphone and earphones (headphones) is strongly recommended for this game, as the direction and attenuation of voice chat and in-game audio is very important.
In addition, there are many elements of the game that require the use of the in-game proximity voice chat function to work together to complete the game. Please adjust your voice in the lobby stage so that you can hear each member's voice well.
(You can adjust the volume of others you hear on the lobby screen, and if you want to increase your own volume, please adjust the voice volume (input) in OPTION>AUDIO).

Entrance Exam (tutorial)
If you ☑ the “Entrance Exam” above the “UNDERWARD” button, you will be able to play a tutorial-like floor. (default ☑ for initial ranks)
We recommend that you play this first.

About solo play
Solo play is a very difficult hide game
“UNDERWARD” can also be played solo. However, solo play is an ultra-high difficulty mode in which getting caught is an instant game over.
Since you cannot carry a vehicle in tandem, you are forced to carry it slowly and carefully, fearing when the enemy will attack, which makes for a very thrilling situation.
The gameplay is very different from the multiplayer mode, as you need to be extra careful to avoid being noticed by enemies and to look out for traps, but we recommend this mode to those who enjoy the aforementioned horror experience.
Game Tips
Remember where the elevator is
Even if you find the experimental capsule, you will not receive any points unless you transport it to the elevator. It is a good idea to mark the location of the elevator and its path by placing items so that you do not forget.
Also, the compass at the top of the screen shows an icon indicating the direction of the elevator, so be sure to use this in conjunction with the compass to avoid getting lost.

If you can't find the experimental capsule at all
Experimental capsules tend to be located in rooms where something is likely to be found or behind gimmicks.
The key to success in the game is to explore the capsule repeatedly to learn the various patterns.

If you get stuck...
If you are stuck and cannot do anything about it, we are very sorry, but we would appreciate it if you could select “HARAKIRI” from the pause menu.

Up to 99 items of the same type can be stocked.
You will be able to capture the game efficiently by sharing roles and sharing with other players.

Items in your possession or left in the elevator when clearing a level will be carried over to the next level.
The elevator can be used as a safe area and a base of operations.
It is also quite possible to explore the levels and collect items even after completing QUOTA.

The time available to return down is basically unrecoverable, and you start in the middle of the next down.
Rescuing as quickly as possible will leave more time for later. (Minimum guaranteed time: 10 seconds)

NOISE does not occur in voice chat.
NOISE does not occur in voice chat because we want our friends to be proactive in talking to each other. (Setting up a special short-range radio conversation)

NOISE does not occur for crouching movement
Basically, roaming enemies such as nurses will sense NOISE and turn in that direction or head toward where they sense it.
If an enemy is nearby, you may be able to get through by utilizing crouching movement to stay out of the enemy's field of view.

NOISE is huge when carrying capsules, so it is easy to attract enemies.
While carrying a capsule, you may run into an enemy at any time.
The investigator must show his or her skill by “linking up” the capsules to avoid being overtaken, fighting off the enemy, or transporting the capsules while having someone else act as a decoy.

Adsorption and placement items can be attached to players, enemies, and capsules.
This is an element that can be utilized in a variety of ways, such as attaching lights to enemies to make them more visible, or attaching spike traps to capsules or players to assault them, depending on the ingenuity of the investigator.

Report...? What the hell is this...?
Reports can be found on each level of the building.
These are little flavor elements that reinforce the world setting of UNDERWARD.
There are 10 types in total, so if you like to explore, try to discover them all.

How many levels does it take to clear a game?
Clearing the 6th level is a milestone.
The difficulty level and the number of nurses increase on subsequent levels, and the quota becomes more stringent.
After the 13th level, the game consists of repeating the previous levels, but this is a permadeath type game to see how far you can go, so please try to see how many levels you can dive.

The ceiling wandering nurse is too powerful!
It's a strategy info, but they go through a duct-like area in the ceiling. Set traps there.I recommend it.
