Into The Emberlands — 100% Achievement Guide

This guide will help you get all the achievements in the game without any trouble!

Story Related achievements

These achievements will be unlocked by simply playing the game and completing the tasks listed in your journal.

A new Lightbearer rises
Become the Lightbearer.


A light in the dark
Begin your journey by leveling up the Ember Tower for the first time.


Illuminate
Reach Village Level 5.


Brick by brick
Reach Village Level 9.


Almost perfect
Reach Village Level 12.


We built this city
Reach Village Level 13.


Reintroduction of capitalism
Repair the Hardware Store.


Rock solid
Find a friend that puts the "rock" in "rock bottom."
If I understand it correctly, there will be a mission which requires you to bring several stones to the Lonely Knack, who resides in the village (credit goes to NekoMilo for pointing it out!).

Going places
Repair the Metro Station.


Axe-citing
Get your hands on a Tier 3 tool in your village.
Just upgrade the shed within the village a couple items.

Nesting problems
Build a home for the Embercluck.


Something of a scientist myself
Assist the Head Petalogist in his search for knowledge.


To new horizons
Upgrade all the workshops in the village.
Late game achievement

Breath of the mild
Repair the Scrap Cooker.


Pretty, innit?
Upgrade the Inn.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think you need to fully upgrade the Inn (Village Level 12 achievement, probably).

*Heavy breathing*
Gain access to Miasmasks.
During the second half of the game you will unlock a Miasmask Dispenser in your village. Just pick up the mask and you'll get the achiement.

Prep time!
Equip a Miasmask and LUX+.
Similar to the previous achievement. You'll need the Miasmask Dispenser and the Emberlantern Workshop in your village. Simply have both Miasmask and Lux+ in your inventory at the same time.

Higher Embucation
Get schooled and build a school.
You just need to complete the school / teacher questline and unlock a new character skin (Schooled). Questline can be finished at Village Level 12.

Fin...
"Save" the Emberlands.
This is the last quest in the game, which takes place after getting your village to Level 13.
To finish the quest you need to craft 3 items:

1. Catalyst of rebirth
   
2. Seed of rejuvenation
   
3. Essence of miasma

This is where you can find these items:

1. Catalyst of rebirth: can be found in a forest biome. Requires 1 distilled crystalloid and 1 glimmer.


2. Seed of rejuvenation: can be found a Petalogist's realm. Requires 15 coins and 6 scraps.


3. Essence of miasma: can be found in the Enderlands. Requires 6 crystallized embers, 2 distilled red petals and 2 distilled pale petals.

Exploration

These achievements can be unlocked by simply travelling across the world.

Another one bites the Miasma
Become lost.
Just keep walking ouside the village until there is no ember left in your lantern.

Petal to the metal
Set foot into the Petalogist's realm for the first time.


Into the Enderlands
Venture into the Enderlands.


I ordered dessert, not desert
Enter the Dubious Dunes.


Almost gone
Obtain a glimmer.
You can obtain glimmers in the Enderlands by destroying rocks with drills (with a certain chance) or interacting with Scrap Narks (1 glimmer for 15 scraps) or Gold Knarks (pictures of Gold Knarks below).

How many Knacks do you need to...
Find a group of lost ones that are huddled up together.
Sometimes there are 3 Knacks gathered together. You should get this achievement quite easily!

No place like home
Use a metro outside of the village.
Occasionally you will stumble upon metro stations scattered across the realms. Repairing a station costs 1 crystallized ember and 3 coins.

Lightbearer upgrades

These achievements require upgrading the Ember Lantern, Coin String and Backpack. All of these upgrades can be acquired by interacting with the Emberclucks or completing quests in your journal.

Got some change?
Upgrade the Coin String.


I got baggage
Upgrade the Backpack.


Full pack-tential
Upgrade the Backpack to the maximum.
Just interact with the Emberclucks 3 times (it will cost you 6 crystallized embers).

In brightest day
Upgrade the Ember Lantern.


In blackest night
Reach an Ember Lantern capacity of 100.
You will easily get this achievement by the end of the game by simply constructing new or repairing old buildings along with other means (Emberclucks, aspiring artists, etc.).

We require more minerals
Upgrade the Crystal Bag.
You can do this by going to the Bags! Bags!... store in your village (late game building) or by interacting with a Crystal Knark.

Interactions with NPCs

Just interact with various NPCs in the game and bring them whatever they need.

Caught slacking
Help out those slacking Trolls.
Big blue dudes living in the Forest biome. They require 8 wood.

Mug shot
Help out the weird face.
Moai-looking looking stones found in the Forest biome. They require 6 stones.




Golden opportunity
Encounter the Troll Chieftain.
Troll Chieftain is a distinct-looking troll with reddish fur residing in the Forest biome. His spawn chance is somewhat small, but you will probably meet the Chieftain by the end of the game.

The key to success
Return the keys to their rightful owner.
You need to find an ominous key (Forest biome) and give it to the Scatterbrained Petalogist (Petalogist's realm).

Harder Achievements

This is a section for achievements which require a bit more time and effort, obviously.

From rags to riches
Amass 24 coins at a time.
It isn't that hard, really, but it may require a bit of planning. But you will definitely get it by the end of the game when your Coin String becomes much, MUCH bigger.

Chef's kiss
"Create" your very first petal butter sandwich.
These are the steps you must take to get this achievement:

1. Get 2 distilled pale petals;
   
2. Find a Petal Crusher in the Petalogist's realm;
   
3. Craft a petal butter sandwich;
   
4. Bring it to a Troll Chef (found in the Forest biome).

Beauty restored
Sacrifice something on the altar.
Steps:

1. Keep leveling up your village until you unlock a Troll Flower Shrine;
   
2. Get an Ember Blossom from the Petalogist's realm;
   
3. Bring the blossom to the shrine: it will become an Empowered Ember Blossom ;
   
4. Find a Flower Altar in the Forest biome.

CURSES!
Break a curse.
Steps:

1. Go to the Dubious Dunes;
   
2. Find a Lost Bunker and take an artifact (thus becoming cursed) ;
   
3. Find a character named Hagwash and ask him to destroy the curse.

Shine bright!
Use an outpost for the first time.
Outposts are structures which are found in the Enderlands. The only problem is their spawn rates are rather low. I have found only 1 so far, but I didn't take a picture of the outpost :c
But user ne13un in their guide attached a screenshot of the outpost and what resources you must spend in order to use it.

Just got the Rock Solid achievement, it's one of the first missions in the forest area where you give someone who wants a friend 3 pieces of rock (Lonely Knack)
