What was Glowing Rose?

If you play Incredibox, particularly V2, Little Miss, you'll probably have noticed this one particular song that everyone's making. Yes that's right, it's actually based off one song. Glowing Rose. But what is this Glowing Rose song, and what made it so popular? Moreover, who was the orginal creator of this amazing song?

Glowing Rose was first created in 2022, three years ago, by a Chinese user called Hleopard. Hleopard had a lot of success on V2, with songs You Not Alone, and Ouch (really!). But whilst these songs were very popular (You Not Alone ended up with 151 likes and 580 views) they really came out on their best with Glowing Rose. This song.....is just incredible. The very meaning of Incredibox, and this song demonstrates it beautifully. And it absolutely took off on Incredibox, with over 42, 000 likes and 135 000 views. To put that into context, the most popular song ever on Incredibox (right now) only has 40, 000 likes. That is less than Glowing Rose, with 42, 318. Glowing Rose became the most popular song on Incredibox. Literally. If you go to the Incredibox playlist website[www.incredibox.com], flick it over to the Top 50 of the Year, you'll see the current most popular song, on the entire platform, regardless of which version. Glowing Rose held the prestigious title of #1 for around 2-ish years. Now, it doesn't anymore, but why was this? Why was it so popular then?

Why Glowing Rose was so popular

I (the writer, Emmosapien), personally believe that Glowing Rose was so popular because it appears that Hleopard used a touchscreen. This enabled them to start and stop sounds at the same time. This also enabled Hleopard to use a clever idea of their's: starting one sound, letting it play for a second, and then switching back to another, as shown in the gif below. And because they were using a touchscreen, not a mouse, they could use their fingers to do this and more faster than we can on with a keyboard and mouse!




This created a very nice and unique sound, nothing like what the Incredibox community had ever seen before. And people loved it!
