Good tip. Most areas have enough ambient lighting to navigate around them easily. Only a few times did I need to turn on my flashlight to get my bearings.
After completing the regular mode and Fury mode, the only time I felt I needed to use a flask was when the two enemies were in the basement. I didn't want to waste the shotgun ammo. The other three were comfortably used against the blind monsters. Frankly, I suspect you don't need to kill the two in the loot room and can safely grab the items by careful movement. Never felt like risking it, though.
The regular and black zombies can be dispatched with the shotgun if they become too bold or pose too great a threat. The one on the path to the cemetery has my ire so much, he became a designated shotgun on sight.
Unless you're really close to them, they won't see you.
This make this section really easy and you can keep your flasks.
