How to make your ♥♥♥♥ mic sound good
By Omari
This is a guide aimed at users of OBS Studio who do not have any sound treatment in their room, and as such, may experience echoes, or sounds from their computer in the background of their audio recordings, in this brief guide, I'll go over a few tips I use when producing YouTube videos, as I am just the same a you, someone with no proper mic, or sound treatment in their room.

Tip #1 - Filters
As you might know, in OBS, you can apply filters to sources in your scene, for example, you can use "Chroma Key" to remove green screens in OBS. But in our case, we need to look for a filter called "Noise Suppression", so, let's start by right clicking our source, and then clicking "Filters"

This will open up a mini-menu in OBS where you can apply filters to your source, press the "+" button, You'll see a list of Audio Input specific filters, look around until you see "Noise Suppression" it should be just above "Upwards Compressor", click on Noise Suppression to apply it to the source, leave it at default settings

With any luck, most, if not all echo or background noise should be gone, depending on your mic, it might sound empty. If this is the case, then surely tip #2 will be of great help to you.
Tip #2 - Use an AI tool
I know, I know, AI isn't looked at in a positive way due to how people tend to use it to violate copyright law via AI art. But this isn't really generative AI, it's a simple denoising and echo removal algorithm. The tool I am referring to specifically is Adobe Podcast, a free AI tool by Adobe aimed to reduce or even completely remove echo while restoring some of the most important frequencies in your voice for the sake of clarity, just go to this website[podcast.adobe.com], upload your file, and wait for it to finish.
Tip #3 - EQ
If you know how to work a parametric equalizer, consider using this to further refine your sound.
