All Skins

A quick guide with some spoilers, showing all current skins and how to unlock them!
There are currently 16 skins in total but only 14 can be aquired by everyone, the other 2 are exclusive at the moment.

Default Skins

This are the basic skins you can choose from at the begining of the game (you can freely swap skins after progressing enough in the story)

Axolotl

Basilisk

Bat

Pangolin

Unlockable Skins

This skins can be unlocked by beating the game on higher difficulties and claiming it right after the last boss room (can't be missed)

Toad

Complete a run on Cloudy

Chimera Axolotl

Complete a run on Stormy

Badger Bat

Complete a run on Tempestuous

Horned Lizard

Complete a run on Cataclysmic

Snake

Complete Endless Loop Mode 3 on Clear Skies Difficulty

How to get the Snake skin!?

To access the Endless Loop mode, you will need to buy it from the big Wolf NPC to unlock it, and after completing a normal run (any difficulty), there will be 2 wind streams instead of only one. Purple stream initiates the first loop and the white one will take you back to the Ark.

After completing the 3rd loop, the skin will be droped at the room right after the last boss.

A new icon will appear at the right side of your health bar, indicating your loop count.

Obsidian Axolotl

First you'll need to unlock the new biome 'Sanctuary' by completing a new quest you get when interacting with the Obsidian Statue by the end of 2nd biome.

After unlocking the new biome, keep playing it using the Axolotl character until you find a secret area (those hidden side areas. i got mine from a wind thing area) with an Axolotl Obsidian Statue, when you interact with it, your character will turn into a Golden Axolotl Statue, some text will pop up, and after the sometime you will break from the Golden Statue and emerge with the new Obsidian Axolotl skin. (it will equip automactly, the biome is kinda dark, took me sometime to realize i was using the new skin XD).
Not sure how rare the spawn rate of the secret area is, i got it at my 2nd run (right after the run i unlocked the Sanctuary biome).

Dropable Skins

!!!THIS SECTION MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!!!

Currently there's only one skin that you can drop and farm.
It's pure rng, so be warned. You can be as ultra lucky as my friend who droped it on a multiplayer coop run with me and another friend, on our first 2 hours of gameplay AND it was our first time playing the Incubator biome... or you can have a really bad time farming 50+ runs to drop it kekw x.x

Project 2501

How to get it!?

It's droped from this enemy on Incubator Biome. (easy to spot since it share a similar visual as the skin)

You have a chance to spawn this enemy on extra rooms (as an Elite) and by destroying the Incubators across the map (a chance, they doesn't always spawn from it).

It's unknown if the run difficulty increases the drop rate.
As mentioned before, one of my friends droped on the default difficulty, first time on Incubator stage. RNGesus at it's best ;)

Exclusive Skins

This skins can't be aquired by normal means anymore.
BUT we all hope they will be implemented on the game as the development progress *pepePray*.

Intern

It was a reward for playing early access between October 24th and November 7th 2024.

Guinea Pig

It was a reward for playing Windblown Single-Player Demo between October 12th and October 24th 2024.

Skins Prices

Least but not last (for now), after meeting the conditions to unlock the skins, you must buy them.
All current skins (default and exclusive ones are avaliable for free) cost 500 cogs and Project 2501 costs 1000 cogs.

In case anyone was wondering, you CAN get the Obsidian skin in multiplayer- as long as you’re wearing the axolotl skin, the room can spawn for everyone, but only those wearing the normal axolotl skin can obtain the Obsidian version. Good luck!

It was one of those windstreams that leads to a secret area, i found it half way into the Sanctuary Biome, but maybe you can find it in another secret areas inside Sanctuary, not sure if you must find a windstream secret area.
