How to use R.E.L.I.V.E. while keeping the ability to log playtime and get cards

How to simply launch R.E.L.I.V.E. as if it were the game from Steam and sit back

The Problem

For anyone that has used R.E.L.I.V.E, you might know that you have to run IT and not the game, and as a result, you can't log your playtime OR get cards in Steam (because you're not launching it from Steam).

The Solution

Follow this list of steps to fix this and be able to launch R.E.L.I.V.E. from Steam instead of launching the base game.

• Step 0: Remember to copy the location of your R.E.L.I.V.E. exe, this will be important later.
  
• Step 1: Go to your library and find the game.
  
• Step 2: Click on the cog/gear button next to the i and the heart button.
  
• Step 3: Click on "Properties..."
  
• Step 4: Click the launch options text box.
  
• Step 5: Paste the location you copied in step 0, and surround it with quotes. Then, write %command% after a single space. Don't worry, I'll show an example for this. This is the last step.

Example:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oddworld Abes Oddysee\relive.exe" %command%

If you let Steam install the game in the default directory, that upper text should be completely accurate and you won't need to change it, so feel free to copy/paste it in in that case.

The Conclusion

You're done! Now, if you click that big green Play button you'll be treated to the R.E.L.I.V.E. experience instead of busted old AbeWin.exe. You'll be able to play the game like a sane person while also getting your cards and logging your playtime in there.

I'll edit this guide if I ever get alerted to a better way of doing this or an error in this guide. Feel free to comment about that, I have to use this solution myself so it'll be useful to me too if you find something better!

you can also rename R.E.L.I.V.E. to the original exe's name and then launch it through steam.
from the R.E.L.I.V.E. install instructions:

"Optional: Rename relive.exe to the same name as the game's original executable to allow launching from Steam."
