How to play Radmin VPN in Cry of Fear/2025!

Why we do this?

To play Cry of Fear, we use Radmin VPN to create a virtual LAN network. This setup simulates a local network, allowing us to connect even if we're in different locations, like your home and mine. The reason for this is that Cry of Fear does not support WAN (internet) connections directly, so using a virtual LAN is the only way to enable co-op gameplay.

Download Radmin:

1.Download and install Radmin VPN: Go to the official Radmin VPN website and download the program. Once the download is complete, install it on your computer.

Create a network in Radmin VPN:

• 1.Launch Radmin VPN.
  
• 2.Click "Network" in the top menu, then select "Create a new network."
  
• 3.Give the network a name and set a password.
  
• 4.Share the network name and password with your friends so they can join the network.

Join an existing network in Radmin VPN (for friends):

• 1.Click "Network" in the top menu, then select "Join an existing network."
  
• 2.Enter the network name and password provided by the host.

Create a Co-Op game:

• 1.Launch the game.
  
• 2.Host game.
  
• 3.Select any map and check "LAN Game"
  
• 4.As the host, type the command "sv_lan 0" and press Enter (If you do not do this, an error will appear that will read "LAN servers are restricted to local clients (class C).")
  

Joining the game (for friends):

• 1.You are connected to the host's Radmin VPN.
  
• 2.Run "Cry of Fear" and open the development console by pressing the ` (tilde) key.
  
• 3.Copy your friend Radmin VPN IP adres.
  
• 4.Type "connect [host_IP_address]", where [host_IP_address] is the IP address of the host visible in Radmin VPN, and press Enter.
  
• 5.Enjoy the gameplay with your friend!

What doesn't affect it:

VAC BAN: If you have a VAC BAN on another Source game, you don't have to worry about it not being added to your account.
