Killing Ravagers
You can stealth kill the Ravagers similar to how you can kill the coffin zombies in the base game. Most of their body is armored, but not their legs. Sneak up to them, move to their side, make sure you are almost at the max range of your melee attack (like 1.5 or 2 feet away) and attack low on their legs with the dagger secondary attack.
This will kill them in one hit and is very consistent with a bit of practice.
Abusing the Staff of Venom
This is bar none the best and funniest item in the DLC. You can get it from one of the dark world portals, the one right where you start. After talking to the ghost that asks you to bury him in the church, go straight past him and up a small hill and enter the portal. The staff is down the shaft a bit, and you'll have to jump across into one of the ruined rooms to get it.
This staff makes acid damage HEAL YOU which makes you invincible against some enemies. The important thing to know is the staff must be equipped and in your hand to work, if you swap to your secondary weapon while in an acid puddle you will take a lot of damage. More on how to abuse this next.
Using Lemures to Heal
Lemures will only do their mist ability and their acid throw until you break their little stinger. Using the staff of venom, you can effectively not be killed by these things. Take note that the acid attack they do leaves a pool of acid on the ground where it hits. Standing in this pool of acid will heal you a MASSIVE amount and will outheal the damage from virtually anything else in the game.
If you want to kill the lemures quickly, run up and melee their acid stinger with your staff of venom, the stinger will fall to the ground and explode, creating an acid pool. Stand in this acid pool (the mist damage is nothing who cares) and hit it in the face with your staff until it is dead.
If there are lemures accompanied by other enemies, simply leave the lemure alone and stand in pools of acid to be invincible to the other enemies. From there you can either use the staff of venom projectile (it sucks but you're invincible so it will eventually kill stuff) while moving around to stand in acid puddles, or if you're good you can swap between your staff and secondary weapon as you move around to do damage to enemies faster, just be careful to equip the staff and jump in an acid puddle if your health gets low.
Killing Tormentors
Tormentors also have an acid attack, but they have a fire attack too. Tormentors have two skull heads, one red and one green. Killing the red skull will disable their fire attack and cause them to only to their acid attack, which with the staff of venom will mean they cannot kill you. Simply stealth up to one, shoot the red skull with your pistol, then equip the staff of venom and again either venom projectile it to death or make timely swaps to your pistol to take out its other skull. If you destroy both skulls, the tormentor dies instantly.
Killing Vessels
Vessels will die instantly if you hit all four of their eyes. This is best done at range so that their artillery-style attack won't hit you much. The eyes seem to have very low health, even a single attack from the cursed doll will take them out. Once a vessel has one of its eyes killed, it will be briefly stunned, and will turn around so that another eye faces you. If your aim and timing is good you can stun lock them like this and kill all four eyes before they can do anything. I wasn't quite that good and they'd often get off an artillery attack or two, but these aren't really that scary, be somewhere where you can duck behind a corner or tree when it launches and it's easy.
Cursed Doll
The cursed doll is a really good weapon, it's the first thing you should buy from the soul shop probably. It costs no stamina and no ammo, it just takes some health if you're bad and miss shots. The alternate fire will deal very low damage to enemies while healing you, which I didn't use much.
However, an interesting interaction is that you can use the alternate fire on your summons as well, effectively making them health batteries. The doll deals 1 dmg and heals you 2 health per second, so even the dog summons can give you like 240 health
Wraith Summon
The wraith summon seems cool but since there is friendly fire it can and will kill you. Do not use the wraith summon in enclosed spaces (the mine for example) it will shoot you in the back of the head constantly.
The Boss (no spoilers)
Bringing fire resistance stuff will help you a lot.
The legendary shotgun is ass. I barely used it during the fight and opted to just use the buffalo rifle instead. Ignoring the legendary weapons entirely and using the buffalo rifle is a more than viable strategy. The only nice thing about the legendary weapons is the demon vapor damage reduction, which does seem to stack with the lemure trinket to give you full invulnerability (this is only useful in the area leading up to the boss, not for the boss itself). Spear and lever-rifle might be better for the legendary weapon, did not try them. Also didn't find any weapon platforms other than those
Conclusion

Lever-rifle is good for distance attacks. I did kill the boss with it, but it took a lot of bullets.
