Launch PROTOTYPE 2 Steam Deck & Windows 11 Pro Date 2/Jan/2025

Steam Deck + Enable Default Controller layout

1. on SteamDeck

   Set launch Options for Prototype 2
   

    taskset -c 0-7 %command% 

2. How to use the Default Controller

   Game properties
   Controller
   Set Override for PROTOTYPE 2
   To Use Default settings (do not use community layout)

Windows 11 Pro

• Win11 pro
  
  One time setup
  • Example for a CPU higher than 8 Cores
    
  • Open steam > library > prototype 2 > properties > installed files > click brows..
    Create a bat file using notes in prototype 2 directory
    

     %comspec% /C start /normal /affinity 0x7 prototype2.exe 

    
    Save as >
    name: affinity8.bat
    save as in prototype 2 directory
    Set launch Options
    
    

    affinity8.bat %command% 

    It may vary depending on what kind of CPU you got, mine, ryzen 7745hx ( 8 logical cores), and some gamers says it's Runs 4 cores.

Windows 11 Pro Manually limit CPU

• ( not permanent) your choice

  MANUALLY Setup
  specify 8 cores for the game from
  
  • Task Manger >
    
  • - Details >
    
  • - [Find] Steam.exe right click on it [ set affinity ]
    
  • disable all cores than enable just 0-7 Cores some says 1-8 Cores
    
  • (play the game)
    
  • no more than 8 Cores

• Don't worry about manual limit

  
  It will reset to default when reboot your PC Or relaunch steam
