DF OVERWRITING NVCP V-SYNC FIX
By El Tello
This game is OVERWRITING the V-SYNC setting stored on NVIDIA control Panel

Up on launch, this game will overwrite whatever setting you have set on your NVCP for V-SYNC to the default one "Use the 3D application setting". This is a MAJOR problem for any gamer that uses G-SYNC. We all know (or should know by now) that if you game on a G-SYNC monitor you should enable V-SYNC on a driver level and leave it OFF in-game, This is the best combo for this technology. You can also take this to the next level by enabling "low latency mode" to "ULTRA" and this will cap your frame rate slightly below your monitor's max refresh rate to ensure 100% "uptime" of GSYNC for a super responsive and tear free gaming experience, also minimizing latency.

All this gets absolutely destroyed by Delta Force because its messing with this NVPC setting.

How to fix it
It involves 2 simple steps, first a change to Delta Force NVIDIA profile using the tool "Nvidia Profile Inspector" then setting 2 files as READ ONLY to avoid Delta Force to overwrite the fix.

STEP 1
Download, unzip and open NVIDIA PROFILE INSPECTOR 2.4.0.4

DOWNLOAD FROM GITHUB[github.com]

Once opened search for Delta force, from the multiple results make sure to select the one that reads exactly like this "Delta Force". Once selected just below the search bar there will be a GREEN bar with the EXE name, just to confirm you selected the correct one it must read "deltaforceclient-win64-shipping.exe"

Now go to the 2nd section labeled "Sync and Refresh".

Almost at the bottom on this second section click on "VERTICAL SYNC" and select the option "FORCE ON"

Once done that click "APPLY CHANGES" button at the upper right corner of the window.
STEP 2
IMPORTANT Before this step make sure you have V-SYNC ON at your NVCP. Open NVCP or NVIDIA APP, set it to ON and close it.

Now we can proceed to make this settings READ ONLY.

Navigate to "C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Drs" and right click on nvdrsdb0.bin file then select PROPERTIES. At the bottom in the "GENERAL TAB" check READ ONLY check box and hit ACCEPT.

Do the same with nvdrsdb1.bin file.
That's it, now test it!
Open Delta Force and make sure you have V-SYNC OFF in game. Also you can now safely set UNLIMITED FPS (Driver will now effectively cap it).

I recommend set it to your monitors max instead of unlimited, in my case is 165 but now that my NVCP settings are NOT being overwritten, GSYNC + VSYNC + Low Latency is effectively capping my FPS to slightly less than that. Perfect smooth lag spikes free delta force, enjoy!

... Also The change in step one (NVIDIA profile inspector) if done how i show it, will only affect Delta Force.

Thanks for the kind words Darkell and DarkPassenger! Cyber: making those 2 files READ ONLY will affect ALL your games and apps. Its a LOCK-UP so no app or game can change any settings by its own. So your NVCP or NVIDIA APP wont be able to save any changes you make. But its an easy fix, if you need to change something on your NVCP or NVIDIA APP just uncheck READ ONLY from those 2 files and save your changes. Once done lock them again :D

Making this read only is just for delta force game, correct? Or will this effect my other games?

You are a godsend. I have a G Sync monitor, so this was heavily affecting me. I already knew about Nvidia Inspector, but couldn't figure out why this game kept over riding my vsync. What a difference it makes for smooth gameplay!
