how to locate the portraits folder on steam deck

guides on custom portraits assuming windows os will have a different file path compared to the steam deck, obviously.

I have limited experience but this is how I got mine to work on my steam deck.

before you start looking for the folder make sure to enter character creation and select portrait so the game creats a portrait folder. Or create one yourself it shouldnt matter

there are two possible locations:

• /home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/protonID/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Documents/Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition/portraits/
  
• /home/deck/.local/share/Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition/portraits/

note that proton id varies, try something like searching Baldur at the folder compatdata.
